Hmmmm, so the Playa II. So I took one of my Harley's to my buddies tattoo shop because it's going to be featured in the 2026 Arizona Bike Week Calendar for October. I met my brother there and since we were early we decided to get a bite to eat. There were some other dudes who'd bikes were there for the shoot as well and they told us the Playa had the best burgers in the WORLD so we decided to check it out. This was, what I would call the epitome of a neighbor hood bar. A dive bar or mini sports bar or whatever. My favorite kind. The bar tenders were awesome and they treated their customers just like family. Of course a few of those family members might be considered the black sheep so they had to put them in their places but it was all in good fun. We both ordered a burger with fries. First off, the fries were out of this world good! Perfect crisp on the outside and perfect soft on the inside with some sort of coating that made them amazing! Now the burgers? The best in the WORLD burgers?! Well I can't confirm they are the best in the world, because I haven't been everywhere IN the world but let me say, this was probably one of the best burgers I have ever had! Thick with just the right amount of juicy and the flavor was crazy good. The bun looked like a regular old sesame seed bun but it was slightly denser but not too heavy and it complimented the overall pallet experience perfectly. Hadn't been here in a long time so was time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sunday morning, 8 big screens, so many different football games running, big crowd, lots of engagement.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today was the Burger Slider plate. Three sliders, side of fries, plenty of dill pickle chips, ketchup and Mexico Lindo Habanero sauce for the fries! Service is solid, Cassie is attentive, cordial, communicative. Everyone on the other side of the bar seems to aim to please! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a dive bar, and the new owners bought it 2 years ago and cleaned it up, and it's a really nice place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since they got the old rental rate they can offer good food and selection of drinks at some of the lowest prices in the neighborhood. If you want something to drink they will add it to their next restock order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have live bands at least once a week.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have lots of events and sponsor charity events. As a pool shooter, $1.50 a rack is high, as a person who drink $8.75 for a finger pour is steep , might be ok for others, but I recommend to my friends and shooters there are other places to go. read more

This place is awesome. The fish and chips on Friday are the best , large portions ! I've had them all over town and in Seattle . Way better than culinary drop out too . I had a great time here! There was live music playing, which was great! We played some pool. Ordered a burger and a sampler platter. Both were really good. The server was very nice to us. The place looks slightly outdated, but great corner casual bar/restaurant with good music. I also saw dartboards in there. read more

This place has some of the best fish tacos I've ever tried. The atmosphere is great and the bartenders are fantastic. Everything is reasonably priced. They do a ton of fundraising for different causes. 10 out of 10 would recommend for your dive bar experience. Love it! read more

This is not a bar but a community hangout! The local patrons are so trustworthy! Our credit cards were mistakenly exchanged/returned between two tables (exact same card Southwest). The other table/patron realized this when he got home and called Chase and took care of it all - cancelled his and mine! In a world of people so dishonest, this goes to show that owners like Sharon attract upright customers! I love this bar, even the bartenders make it a point to remember you. Cute, comfortable, busy bar. Normally, all the patrons are extremely friendly. This Saturday afternoon, there was 1 patron that was out of control. Spilled a drink on bartenders phone, acting unruly and eventually ended up punching someone outside. With any business, you can have one of those crazy customers and I wanted to give a shout out to the bartender today. She remained calm, handled the situation quickly and professionally. Went to this place tonight, it was such a great bar! The food was amazing, I had the chicken tostadas, you definitely need to try those. Everyone was friendly and knew each other, but so welcoming to the newbie. If you're looking for a great friendly atmosphere with great food, this is the place to be.
