We had such a wonderful brunch at 13 Brit Cider Bistro! The food was great, the atmosphere was cool and inviting, the staff was friendly, and the location was fantastic. We ordered the sweet Crêpes du Jour, Pain Perdu (French toast), and a side of bacon. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the portions were just right. We also enjoyed the cider mimosas, which were light, refreshing, and paired perfectly with our meal. A great spot for brunch with a fun atmosphere and something a little different. We were attending the Palisade Farmers Market & decided to have breakfast at 13 Brix Cider Bistro. . Good choice:my Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise sauce served on Belgian Waffles with Canadian bacon was fabulous. Instead of their good looking Hash Browns I had a bowl of sliced Palisade Peaches. Avoiding the fattening potatoes. My partner ordered crepes with a filling like a Denver Omelette which he liked a lot. Service was attentive and very friendly. When we visit Palisade we also lunch here at least once, and make sure we go to Sunday brunch. Andy and family are so personable, and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Menu offerings rotate throughout the seasons, and the ciders are amazing! Their cider (raspberry rose) was amazing and this is coming from someone who does not normally drink cider. Soup of the day was great as was the turkey pesto sandwich. Ron's prepared menu of BBQ and sauces were wonderful and filled my friends and I up more than we ever have been before. We left wanting nothing more and a little unsure if we would ever be able to make room to eat again!! Andy West's curation of Cider was impeccable and his chemistry background shows through to deliver the perfect cool crisp refreshment needed. I have to say that I'm rather surprised that this wonderful restaurant does not have five stars. This was an amazing place and reading some of the reviews, I find it hard to believe! For sure you can't please them all. We originally pulled in to this beautifully decorated Hallmark town with nice little shops and quite a few restaurants. We went to have Mexican and ended up here and ordered the double clutch which we were able to choose from two meats, four sides two desserts for $40 we had the pork spareribs, brisket, and later had some fall off the bone chicken! The macaroni and cheese was amazing their honey maple cornbread was delicious their garlic mashed potatoes with gravy. I just can't stay enough for this place. They had hot sauces. They had pickled cucumbers. This place had the most amazing barbecue sauces which I believe they need to start selling it's just delicious. The service was amazing. The gentleman at the bar is the son of the cook and the wife. it's a family affair and they all treated you like if you were family not just to me but to the other table that was there with us I only have great things to say About this place. As we were leaving, my son stated it's nice and you can tell the difference when people genuinely like what they do. Andy, the owner and cider maker, is a really genuine guy and he takes the time to speak with the guests and makes everyone feel welcome. The food is just as impressive as the drinks: the sandwiches are fresh and flavorful, the soups and salads are comforting and well-crafted. The ciders themselves are fantastic; crisp, unique, and perfectly paired with the menu. With reasonable prices and consistently great service, this place has quickly become one of our favorite spots in town. We've been coming here during our annual Palisade trip 3 years in a row and I'm already looking forward to our next visit. read more

What a gem this place is in the tiny town of Palisade. After being stuck on I70 for a few hours. We were told to take a detour through this town and were in urgent need of a rest stop. By chance we rolled by 13 Brix and decided this is our sanctuary. Immediately we are greeted by Christian and rushed into the building. She kicked into Mom mode and pointed to the bathrooms and set a place for all 6 of us to sit. She helped us order and boy was everything we ordered on point. The French onion soup, the special vegetarian Sandwich, the grilled cheese, and the hard cider sampler. We loved them all but especially Christian and her beautiful spirit. This place is a must stop for everyone traveling through this town. 10/10 in my book! Thank you Christian for making this a beautiful memory on our journey back home to California. read more

Love sitting outside with our dogs today! They had a dog bowl for water and our waitress showed us the spigot. I had a cranberry apple cider and it was soooo good. The weather was beautiful. Perfect Saturday late morning! My daughter ate all of her Cesar salad and I had the turkey pesto with a house salad. The salad dressing was a vingerette- house made. Delicious. The ambience was nice. The service was excellent. The food was good. But. The manager. Does not like ketchup. So will not keep ketchup in the building for the fried potatoes. He Is evidently one of those guys who thinks everyone should eat food the way he likes to. They also do not have ranch for salads. And you have to ask him for salt and pepper. I would only go back if I took my own ketchup. At Least I didn't order a steak. And have to deal with no steak sauce or salt and pepper. read more

I really was excited to try this place. The patio was full when we came around 1:00. By 2:30 (yes it took that long to get two sandwiches all cold options) it was empty and the table next to us got served food before we got ours and came 30 minutes later. The service was so slow it ruined the experience. We wanted to leave and get on the road but right when we were going to get up our food finally came. I asked for the house salad and got potato. They quickly got me a salad within minutes which makes me wonder why 1.5 hours for two sandwiches. The food was lackluster. Did not try the ciders. Enjoyed a leisurely lunch at a shady outside table today. Servers wore masks, tables spread out to safe distances. The soup of the day was a *spicy* Italian sausage concoction, very warming, and our Caesar salads were nicely prepared, quite cold, and fully tossed with a tangy house made dressing, croutons (!), and shaved parm prior to being served. We ordered grilled chicken on the salad and it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, well worth the extra three bucks. We also ordered cider flights (three 5-oz pours for $6) and met the cider maker, who chatted with us for a few minutes and explained a bit about how he takes care to retain the fruit flavors in all the ciders. WOW, what a treat to discover this amazing bistro. It has a great patio and a wall of windows flooding it with light, making it feel open and fresh. You are often greeted by the owner himself who could not be any more warm and welcoming even if he doesn't have a full staff that day you are never kept waiting and always greeted with a smile. The cider is super yummy and the food is fresh and delicious with interesting combinations calling me to go back to try something new. I look forward to making this one of my favorite spots and if I lived closer I would even work there! P.S. I think the Reuben might have even been better the second day, lol. read more

We stopped in Palisade to eat lunch before heading back to Denver. After finding out that, due to a private party, the original place we wanted to eat wasn't open, we walked down the street and found this cute place. We got to talk to Andy, who is part owner, waiter and cidermaker. It's hard not to want to try his ciders. They also have a nice variety of wine offerings from his family's local vineyard. The midday menu has some classic French sandwiches with a Colorado twist. We each enjoyed our sandwiches and the different side dish offerings - French Onion soup, potato salad, and Caesar salad. I hope to be back in Palisade sometime soon so we can try more of Andy's ciders and try their Sunday brunch. read more

Got the pain perdu Sunday brunch and it was amazing. Paired it with kielbasa cooked in apple cider which was divine. As for the cider flight, I definitely recommend the vanilla perry and blueberry lavender. Only regret is that we don't live closer! read more

Sunday brunch at the cider bistro. Flights were a delicious way to try three flavors before deciding on a pint. They can make a mimosa out of the cider as well. We all had the croque madame which is the monsieur with an egg on top. Hollandaise was excellent, only complaint is too much bread - maybe just make it with one slice served open face. The bread, ham/jambon, cheese, etc were all good quality and delicious. Option of breakfast potatoes or salad - I had the salad and it was huge. Tried my friend's potatoes and they were pretty good, seasoned and a little crispy. Great friendly service. read more
