Delicious Mai Tai with a dark rum floater. The best!
    Jacki S.

We are a group of 40 somethings who visit Mammoth Mountain 3-4 times during the winter season. With each trip, we look forward to visiting our favorite female bartenders at The Mill. We have explored the bars at the other lodges, but none of them compare to the service at The Mill. Cathy & Courtney are friendly, personable, efficient, and professional. Our drinks are never empty. Their Mai Tais, Margaritas, and other cocktails are delicious. Their beer poor is nothing less than perfect and everything is served with a smile. Everyone is treated with respect as long as they follow the rules, which they are not shy about enforcing - No smoking on the patio!. Keep up the good work ladies!

    Love their Margaritas!

The Mill is a great stop to get a bite to eat or have a drink at their bar . I enjoy sitting by the fire pit and enjoying my margarita with a view. I'm not gonna elaborate of prices of the food on the mountain ($$$) because you really don't have many choices. On some of the weekends when we came here there is a dj spinning, which adds to the atmosphere.

    Pulled pork nacho and cornbread

Great quick stop for a bite while in the slopes. The food is super quick and it was great! We got pulled pork nachos and the pork was really delish. Wish the cheese sauce was more of a queso but they were pretty generous with all toppings. Also had some avocado, perfectly spicy jalapeños, cheese and beans. Also got the corn bread which was great tasting but a little dry. Overall always a great stop to refuel and warm up.

This has been my favorite go to place for a drink and taco Tuesdays when they have it. The bartenders Cathy and Courtney are the best!

The beers are flowing, the vibes are growing, and the snow is blowing. The Mill will keep you on that Sierra mountain high

Two meat plate, Tri tip and pull pork, corn bread, cole slaw, pasta salad, potato salad, green salad

Killer Tri-tip roast, generous portion and side choice for 2 meat plate, reasonable price, super fast service, very convenient location, relaxing reclining seat out door, watching the mountain, sun shine and people skiing down the slope, outdoor and indoor music and bars with plenty of local beer choices, warming up around the outdoor fire ring or indoor fireplace. Best of all, a clean place to release yourself too

    Cajun fries and turkey sandwich

Good spot for a mid day ski day lunch I'd you're looking for bbq style food. Their fries are really great, we got Cajun but feel like they are good without anything on them and the Cajun isn't even necessary. The turkey sandwich was also really good - it's a huge portion size, I'd recommend splitting it with someone! Also subbed pepperjack for Swiss and it needed a little sauce so recommend mustard from the condiment bar. The burger apparently is a decent choice - pretty standard with no bells and whistles, and the pork nachos are a move if you're looking for some finger food! Also a very large try so you could split between 3-4 people.

While you obtain the best variety and quality of food at Canyon Lodge, the Mill Café is by far the most cozy place to hang out when the legs get tired from nonstop running up and down the hill, for apres-skiing, or if there is a need to warm up (e.g. with a hot chocolate). Both inside and outside are great, space is however limited. Inside, in the center, there is a fireplace, and a number of fairly small tables that give the crowded place the feeling of a comfortable home. Of course, there is food available too, BBQ style selection, comparably small - and there is a bar with a large TV screen to watch some sports channels ...

    Garlic fries yum.

Small little cafe to stop at for some grub after shredding the gnar. Like all of mammoth though, we've wised up and never actually EAT food here. Way too expensive. Like the other cafe's here, they've gotten rid of the free hot water, so you can't bring cup-a-noodles. Well, that's not true, I think they charge you $1 to fill up your bowl of soup if you want that option. But we've opted to bring our own meal. Awesome sliced bread from schats, deli ham, some greens, and avocado. So, one can really save money since most of our dough goes into this dang expensive lift tickets, not to mention the hotel and gas to travel here. Sorry I digress. So my reason for giving this place 3 stars is the Garlic Fries for $9!! Lover bought this thinking it was the bestest garlickly fries ever, and the were! But seeing them now, them changed the recipe a bit. If you look at the previous garlic frie pictures, you'll see chucks of garlic sprinkled all over the fries, one picture was in 2009. Our fries seemed to only have garlic essence or garlic oil, but no real chunks of garlic. BOO! For $9, this was a POS! O well, now we'll know to never salivate thinking about this garlic fries. Tips: Like all cafes around here, don't come around noon on a weekend. It's so crazy!

Carnitas tacos on Taco Tuesday. There are only 2 in there...
    David A.

My favorite Mammoth Lodge. Stopped at the Mill Cafe for a break and discovered they had Taco Tuesday. Huge Carnitas tacos for $1 and Busch beer for $2 (flat with no tax added). Fresh salsa verde on the side. Dos please. Really cool rustic lodge that is conveniently located at the bottom of Stump Alley. Highly recommend.

Nothing like a slope side Bloody Mary on a beautiful day...

I love parking here when at Mammoth. If you can get here early and snag a close spot you can't beat it for convenience. It's a good a mid point between Canyon and Main Lodges and I like its smaller chiller vibe. It has a small but decent cafe, bar, bathrooms, fire pits and other areas to take a break. On a nice sunny day the plastic lounge chairs out front are an awesome place to take in the scenery and drink some beers.

Located off Stump Alley this is our favorite spot to meet up with friends skiing on the mountain. Nice outdoor seating area and bar. The chilli cheese fries are the best! Cheese burger with pulled pork and chilli is huge and good to share. Friendly service.

    Waiting for Bloody Mary #2!

The Bar scene is the most fun on the mountain and for ski resort food the dishes are plentiful and scrumptious.

After waiting over 30 minutes, I eventually had to find another staff member myself. The food was decent but overpriced. I ordered the rock shrimp, which was good, and the wagyu burger, which was mediocre. The atmosphere was also extremely loud and rowdy, feeling more like a bar than a restaurant. Overall, the poor service was by far the biggest issue. Regardless of our age, being ignored for that long left a very disappointing impression of the staff and the restaurant as a whole. It reflects their character.

The vibe is casual and inside is a pretty nice collection of Kansas City Royals baseball memorabilia. You don't have to love KC to enjoy this - if baseball is your thing, you will appreciate this. Dan even gave us the back ground on the owners history with KC. I highly recommend the baked brie as an appetizer - it was crazy amazing! I ordered the meatloaf and trust me, this isn't your ordinary meatloaf. It was recommended by a friend and you cannot go wrong with this choice. 5 stars! My husband had the salmon, and although it was very good, he wished he had gotten the meatloaf, so I graciously gave him half as the portion is huge! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the dessert. Dan had recommended the carrot cake and said the portion was larger than other selections so, when we got home, we were disappointed in both the size and the taste. Although good, both my husband and I were expecting an amazing carrot cake and it tasted just normal. Admittedly, both my husband and I are carrot cake snobs so maybe our standards were a bit too high. But I would try another dessert. Plus, the cake was in a large container so by the time we got home, the frosting was all over the side of the container instead of the cake. If you get dessert to go, ask for a smaller container. Although this must sound picky, after such a delightful dining experience, it just felt like a little let down when we got home. Other than that, the experience was top-notch and I will definitely visit again the next time we are in Mammoth. Thanks for a great experience, Dan! By the way, a local highly recommended both the fish tacos and the lobster taquitos. I trust his recommendation completely! Just something else to consider on this amazing menu.
