5 stars for the Village- it's very cute with several shops for food, dessert, drinks, toys, or knick-knacks. People are friendly and neighborhood is safe and friendly. Fun for young kids, especially during the holidays. The chicken and peacocks roam freely. Sometimes you'll see their large turkeys moving about. For the restaurant, I'd give it 2-3 stars. Their Yankee Pot Roast grilled cheese was very good the second time they brought it to us (first time the bottom of the sandwich is burnt entirely black). Basically, it's hit or miss with the food which is NOT GOOD for a place that could be so much better. Maybe it's time for Gordon Ramsey to pay them a visit. read more

We were here for the St Patrick's Day event. Don't order the Irish coffee unless you are ready to pay extra. It's not listed as extra and when asked about it to the owner he was very nasty and not accommodating at all. We will not be here again. Service was only so so. Our shepherd's pie was overdone and we had to send it back. The waiter didn't know the menu and had to look over our shoulder to see what we wanted. For the first time in our history my small family made the decision to dine out for Thanksgiving and we chose the Milleridge Inn Buffet with expectations of a traditional meal in an inviting atmosphere. The feeling that the event would diverge from our expectations began upon entering the bland banquet-style room decorated with balloon-art turkeys . We were further deflated by the inhospitable lack of seating for those waiting to be escorted to a table after checking in with the hostess . Upon eventual escort we were thankfully mindful to the tablecloth overhanging our table by about two feet and remained so through the evening to avoid a slip and fall situation. Heading towards the buffet spread we still had hopes for redemption in the form of a sumptuous feast. Not so fast. Mediocre and unoriginally prepared fare at room temperature due to the lack of sternos heating the trays. Stuffing as from a standard box recipe, cranberry sauce as from a can. Plain mini carrots with an oddly chemical taste. Gooey gloppy pie fillings spilling out of crusts did nothing to raise the bar. We had a little excitement when my brother- in- law felt something slimy under his hand after reaching for a clean plate and found a smear of leftover food on the bottom. Yes, we had some laughs and were grateful as ever to be with our loved ones for the holiday. But we all agreed to make ourselves a second turkey dinner later in the weekend so as not to feel we missed out on Thanksgiving. read more

We had our baby shower in the "yellow room". We had about 70 guests. The room was beautiful. And I was pleasantly surprised to see that the catering was actually delicious ! The waiters were very attentive to my guests and overall it was a great experience. I'll definitely use this place again for another event. read more

Been to the Milleridge village a gaZillion times and loved that forever but the restaurant was quite good too , I'm surprised about a lot of the reviews! Atmosphere great. Christmas carolers came over to tables singing. We asked for a card before we even were served dinner, but they never came back to our table to give us the card or sing another song as promised. The $38. dinner special was not worth it. My friend & I had the sauerbraten which was dry & the dumplings were tasteless, and the red cabbage was too sour. My friend could not even eat the sauerbraten. My husband had the Romanian steak which was fair, and they only gave him half of one. My friend's husband had the pot roast & wasn't thrilled with it either. This is not the first time, but it will be the last. We all decided we would not go back there to eat again. I went with my big family (7 kids) to the escape room for the halloween event. We paid 150 dollars, they went in. the lady working seemed a little weird at first. She told them not to ruin or break anything, when she said that she said it very quietly. 2 of the kids at special needs, so they don't listen that easily. They got out of the trailer and the 5 older ones said the little kids broke stuff and trashed the place. However They also said the worker would not let us use there phone to call us. They also said the worker left the trailer. What if a little kid got hurt in the trailer. The doors were locked. The Worker said she told them to stop. The older kids said she did not tell us anything in the trailer. They said she was on her phone the whole time. She left the trailer at a point to go get a snack. At the end she got very mad and called security and management. They said the Whole place was trashed, the older kids said the only think that was broken was a cheap plastic container. Everything else was just out of of place. In the end we had to leave the park or they would call the police. We left and went to adventure land instead. Cheaper and a lot more fun. Never going there again. never read more

Celebrated my daughter's 60th birthday yesterday and from the minute we walked in and we left several hours later, it all was a marvelous experience. Our waitress couldn't have been more accommodating. The drinks were great, salad and soup delicious and practically all of us ordered different entrees, and apparently one better than the other. Highly overpriced for low quality food. We started out walking around the beautiful village. Thats where we shouldve ended our evening. We checked in at the restaurant at 6:50 for our 7:00 reservation. Went to the bar to wait for our table. Took more than 20 minutes to b served as they were under staffed. We were seated at 7:30 ordered apps and drinks. Best part of our dinner was the delicious cinnamon bread. Caesar salad and clams were fine but the mussels had a funky smell to them. Someone had taken our bread dishes so I had to go find someone to bring us plates for our apps. Kind of strange my husbands Johnny walker black on the rocks was served with a cherry in it. Dinner wasn't served until 9:30. We were a table of 4. Skirt steak and meatloaf was ok compared to the other meals. Pot roast was dry with gravy to disguise the dryness and served with cold mashed potatos and the pot roast grilled cheese was terrible. It's a really adorable place around Christmas time but it is truly meant for people with families. My cousins and I thought it was cute but it's definitely more kid oriented. Dinner was nice, I had a Caesar salad and a burger. Both were really great. They accommodated my cousin who is a vegan and let her combine two salads to make one that she really wanted. That's definitely a plus in my book. There were carolers during dinner and service was overall great. No complaints. I love coming to the Milleridge Inn, the ambiance inside is breathtaking. You feel like your in an old German mansion. They have at Least one fireplace and a multiple of dining rooms. When I come here I go with the prime rib rare or Long Island duck. The best time to come to The Milleridge Inn is during Christmas time. The experience was five star. The waitstaff excellent. I had chicken liver appetizer which also was five star The cinnamon bread 5 star. It was Thanksgiving I ordered turkey requesting dark meat, which they didn't have. The white meat was dry. The stuffing was very tasty. The day was extremely enjoyable,however the biggest disappointment was their apple strudel.The apples were excellent the pastry was hard and heavy call it anything else but it did not taste like apple strudel. Went with a group of family members for my grandma's 92nd birthday and only 2 out of 10 people liked their dish. The service was one of the worst I've ever experienced. The waitress was rushing us the whole time and was ready to serve us desert before anyone was even finished eating their meal. She made my grandma take her whole meal home because she felt too uncomfortable with the way she was being rushed.. we all went here because it used to by one of her favorite restaurants. In her words "not anymore! they need some customers in this place is they want to stay open." Understand that if you buy reservations or pay for reservations in advance if by some reason you can't make it they will not refund your money. My advice to stay away, the food is horrible and served cold And not Worth it And now I find out they overcharged me by $227 on my credit card. We went for a friends holiday dinner on Saturday 12/18. Upon arrival, we decided to get a drink at the bar while waiting for our table- took 20 minutes because there was only 1 bartender on a crowded Saturday night. Sat down at our table and it took forever to get any service and when we finally got our appetizers, they were ice cold and we were missing one of them. Our waitress was wonderful and doing her best with what she had to work with. There were no bussers so dirty glasses and plates piled up. Our entrees came out and half of them were ice cold and the 3 soups that were ordered never came. Manager confrontational instead of apologetic . He never offered an apology but sent a round of drinks which came when we were finished and ready to leave. The table next to us had same issues. I have been going to the Milleridge Inn Bakery for over 30 years. Love the Brownie, Lindzer, and Almond Horn cookies. I went the day before Thanksgiving and picked up a box of Almond Horn cookies to bring to dinner. When I returned home later that evening and opened the box I found all of the cookies were broken and stuck together. I could not bring them to our dinner as they were not presentable so instead, I thought I would share them with friends but they were not the same as usual, something was off about them. They were very gritty and had a strong anisette flavor. I called the bakery that Sunday and left a message with one of the women that work there. She said someone would call me back. I did not hear back so I called again on Wednesday (they are closed on Monday and Tuesday) the phone rang, answered with a recorded message then hung up. I tried many times with the same results. Finally, on Friday I tried again and got an answer. The woman apologized that no one got back to me and said she would reach out again for me. I received a call back from the bakery manager. She said these cookies can be crumbly, it is characteristic of them. (I have never had this problem before) She apologize that there was nothing that she could do for me because I did not bring the cookies back and because I did not call her sooner, like on Friday. She said she has not received any other complaints and she sells a lot of those cookies. I explained that I traveled 25 miles to her bakery for these cookies and if she needs me to I can bring them to her and I have pictures. She again said if I would have called sooner maybe she could have given me a gift card or something but there is nothing she can do. I explained that they were inedible but she insisted there was nothing she could do for me. I am truly disappointed in the way this was handled. We had not returned to the Milleridge Inn since we were married there 30 years ago. How pleasantly surprised we were to see that it is just as good as we remembered. The food was excellent, the atmosphere unparalleled. You could close your eyes and imagine what this place was like way back in 1672! Hot cinnamon bread, cozy fire, friendly, fast wait staff. The quaint village waiting a few steps away for us to explore. I don't know what kept us away so long, but we will return a lot sooner. read more

Came here for happy hour and the menu choices for drinks and food were excellent. They allow you to sit in the booths by the bar so my group of three could chit chat while we ate. Today I was dining at the Milleridge Inn with a group of friends to celebrate Christmas. I ordered from the Lunch Menu and selected Grilled Sauerbraten on Rye with Red Cabbage, Cheese and Bacon. It was awful. The rye bread was 1/2 inch thick and dry, the meat was cold and dry, the cheese was melted onto the bread, but had coagulated, and the red cabbage and bacon somehow got lost in the middle. We were served a small pitcher of hot gravy, but it did nothing to enhance the plate. The french fries were good, but the sandwich was not only cold and unappealing, but for the rest of the day I was having digestion issues. Several others ordered the Sauerbraten or Pot Roast, and we did not want to embarrass the hostess by complaining so we only ate part of the meal. Our morning started with Santa Brunch that was organized perfectly with a safe and vibrant menu. After we hit the Christmas Village, it's awesome. Tons of activities and things for kids to do. Cute shops and great atmosphere. Our family enjoyed eating at their Wine Bar. Their bakery line was a short wait and well worth it. Their cakes looked delicious, our cupcakes were. Clearly this woman checked to see if the gift card was valid before she even went to the restaurant: I hate leaving bad reviews but this has been bothering me for almost 2 months. I didn't want to write a negative review while I was upset but now I think I can write a fair review influenced not on emotions but on what I think was bad business on the restaurant's part. Back in December I went to the Milleridge Inn for lunch with some family members. The Milleridge Inn has been one of my favorite restaurants for many decades. Especially around Christmas time. I have a lifetime of wonderful memories of going there with family, many of who have sadly passed away over the years. This year we didn't have my Dad or his sister, my aunt, with us, as they have passed away. There literally was an empty seat at our table. There was a tear shed during our meal, talking about old times and good memories and loved ones that we miss. But everything was nice, the food was good, etc. It was to be another Milleridge Inn memory on top of so many others. I had a gift certificate that had belonged to my Dad. He's been gone three years. Before I went to the restaurant I called the number on the back of the card and was pleased to find out that there was a $125 balance on the card. Sweet. So we went and had a very nice time. I paid the bill with the gift card and added cash, as $125 is not what it used to be. I also left a large tip because I was a waitress too, once, and it's nice to throw in a few extra dollars when I'm saving a few. So after lunch we went to the shops and enjoyed the decorations, etc. On my drive home I received a call from the restaurant. They had my number from the reservation. They told me the card was no good. I was horrified, honestly. I asked them to call the number on the back of the card. They would see that there was $125 on the card. They told me they still won't accept it because they changed hands over they years and even though it says Milleridge Inn on the card they wouldn't accept it. I asked them if they would honor it anyway and they said no and if I didn't come back they would make the waitress pay. (Which isn't legal). I asked to speak with the manager and she said she was the manager and she refused to honor the card. So me being a stand up, well meaning and honest person, and a sucker, honestly, I went back and gave them the money. I also didn't want the waitress to lose out on possibly half a day's tips. But after thinking about it, when the Milleridge Inn changed hands, they bought ALL of the restaurants debts and dues, right? I went back the next day to get the card back to make sure they didn't cash in the card on top of me paying the bill. (They didn't). Management was very rude and dismissive of my position and wouldn't even speak to me personally about this. I was treated like I was just a bother and a nuisance to them. So rude I still can't believe it. I'll try to put this behind me and remember all the good times spent there with family and friends but this last visit will always leave me with a bad feeling. I don't think I can ever go back. Just one more thought.. my family has spent thousands of dollars there over the decades. Dinners, holidays, family occasions, funeral lunches. They should have accepted the card even if it meant they were out $125. Just a bad business on their part. read more

I wish this was what I was expecting. But it wasn't. We visited the restaurant with a medium size group at lunchtime in celebration of friends birthday. We were hoping for a nice lunch with efficient but laid back service. The service was horrible, disjointed, inattentive is an understatement and the food was just Ok to poor. The bill with no alcohol 1 app and one dessert came up to $350 which would be reasonable if the service was good but we had to ask for water. Ask for coffee refills, ask for appetizer plates, the food took about 40 minutes to come out. I can excuse some of this to covid but this was beyond that. It's one menu for the whole day. When I called the hostess to ask about lunch menu she said there was a lunch menu. There was none. The food was not creative and the choices were not forward thinking for different dietary needs. Solid 3. My salmon was very bland, seemed to be laying out for a while. Apple streusel seemed to be reheated in a microwave. Service is lazy. I was in a party of 14. Most nice places, or rather, most places, would split the bill by each party. They did not. It's super simple for a waiter/ress to do and it's the right thing to do if you want your customers to leave happy and not frustrated. Blah food and blah service. Not what it used to be...
