Every flavor feels simple yet incredibly satisfying, with each bite making an impact. My favorite was the Pebble Toast Crunch flavor (if I got the name right!) it was amazing. The customer service was warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Out of all the food stalls at Windmill Farms, this feels like one of the most affordable options, which is a huge plus. The bathrooms were clean, and while parking can be challenging on weekends, weekday visits are much easier. I like that they have unique flavors such as kiwi strawberry, blueberry kiwi, and even Apple Jacks. The donuts are more denser than the ones you would get from your usual pink box donut shop. Also, because this location is in a food hall, it can be kind of hard to hear each other. Originally saw mini donuts at another Food Hall a few days prior, but since their staff members were away on break, we weren't able to get it. Given I was still thinking about the missed opportunity, I decided I wasn't going to miss this chance to order them. There's a variety of donut flavors, and I appreciate that the speciality flavors are on one side, while the more typical sugar donut offerings are in a separate display case. I would argue that it would be nice for the plain donuts to be at a cheaper price point, but oh well. Ordered a dozen of mostly speciality donuts, and they are just... okay. Given that we had come around 5:30pm (Legoland closed at 5pm), it was quite disappointing to see how stale the donuts were. They had definitely been made earlier that morning or even the night before because the fruity pebbles on one of them were faintly moist and quite stale itself. That said, they aren't bad, and I imagine they'd be much better if made fresh. I feel like stale donuts could still be sold, but maybe again, at a different price point, so that people know what they're walking into when ordering. So far, I've taken the family out to the Windmill Food Court in Carlsbad, three times. This last outing, we opted for dessert to go, and grabbed a dozen of these cute, little beauties for the road. With great designs, tasty combinations of flavors, and amuse-bouche proportions, the donuts here are a nice novelty. We got a full variety, no doubles. And everyone had something to like. Still, those small sizes made it difficult to really get a good idea if any singular flavor was a knock out of the park or just okay. It's been a month since we were there, and I honestly don't remember a single flavor we had. One of them, I'm pretty sure, was a Snickerdoodle; I think it was pretty good. Another had Fruity Pebbles sprinkled on top, eating that one a day later, made it stale and difficult to chew, but it wasn't ... too bad. Anyway, I don't think this place will be winning any grand prizes in the near future. But, it's still a tasty diversion, and I don't think the prices were too extravagant. For a quick dessert after a family outing, Mini Donut Company is easily worth a look. EDIT: In response to the owner, that particular night alone, we had eaten at 4 separate restaurants. Coupled with a full time job that keeps me from writing reviews 24/7, I'm afraid this particular review took a backseat to a few others before I could get to it.
