I took it around to several places, and as soon as I talked to Chris I knew he was the man for the job. His knowledge of vehicles is outstanding, rivaling only his sociability. During my time with Precision Auto, Chris and Dennis were unbelievably hospitable to me, even while working with a staff shortage and a MURDER HORNET that inexplicably stung Dennis while he was working on my van (he continued with the job despite being stung 5 times - what a beast!) I was treated like family my entire time working with them. They even let me sit on the shop floor and watch the repair, and both stayed after hours to make sure my repair was done.

Then two weeks later my two front tires looked like this. I asked them if this wear was due to issues with the alignment they performed but they said no, it was due to the "age of my tires." Then they doubled down and also claimed I hadn't rotated my tires often enough and that was the other reason my tires looked like this... if that were the case, why didn't they recommend new tires or a tire rotation on March 24 when my car was in their shop? I did not feel safe in my car after this experience and I highly recommend going to a different mechanic.

I surprised I have not done this before, as we have gone to Ron Hall for years. This particular review deals with our latest experience. We went to a car dealership for my daughter's car a few weeks ago, mostly because Ron Hall was backed up. After spending almost $600 fixing the car, the dealership hit us with 3 additional repairs they said needed to be done: power steering leak, radiatior leak, and rear differential leak. The cost was over $2000. Today, Ron Hall looked at it and ran some diagnostics. He said it was more of an ooze on the power steering and they could not find a single cooling system leak or rear differential leak. In the end, he added some fluid to stop the leak and did not charge to examine the car. This is not the first time either. A few years back, my wife had an issue that turned out to be a fuse. Ron told her he could not charge her for replacing a fuse. We have taken all of our cars here and have always been treated fairly. The only thing I hate about giving this type of review is if too many of you see it and start frequenting, making it harder for me to get in. But I feel excellence has to be rewarded. Kudos Ron & family.

Immediately after the tire was installed, the TPMS system failed to recognize the new tire, and eventually stopped recognizing any of the tires at all. I returned to Firestone four separate times to have the issue corrected. Despite multiple attempts, the problem was never resolved. I ultimately took my vehicle to the dealership, where I was informed that Firestone had damaged the TPMS sensor and then installed a refurbished sensor in an unsuccessful attempt to fix the issue. I was quoted approximately $700 in repairs to replace the tire monitoring system because of the damage. Sean, the manager, eventually stopped trying to address the problem and simply told me to take the vehicle to the dealership. Throughout the entire process, the staff displayed a lack of urgency, accountability, and concern for customer service. On my third return visit, despite having a 9:00 a.m. appointment, I was told it could be up to two hours before anyone even looked at my car. What should have been a routine tire replacement turned into multiple wasted trips, ongoing vehicle issues, and a costly repair bill. Firestone created a problem they could not fix and then left me to deal with the consequences. Extremely frustrating experience, and I will not be returning.
