I got a mixed red and green and both sauces were delicious. We also ordered a tuna tostada as an appetizer and that was awesome. It came with a sauce that had some sort of soy sauce, and I couldn't even tell you, but it was really really good and made the whole. tostada taste amazing. My favorite part was the drinks! The bartender Diana was super friendly and had great recommendations. Great service!! I tried the coconut Mezcal drink and as a Mezcal lover, who doesn't like anything too sweet, it was perfect. The place is super cute, immediately was greeted by 2 hostess and a server they were extremely welcoming and nice! Our waitress gave recommendations and immediately took our orders. We had the Baja tacos and they were good. 8/10 You get 2 fried shrimp tacos and like a 1oz serving of beans, unfortunately you can't sub out for rice, you have to buy a side if you don't want beans or just wanted to substitute it -which was a bit odd as most places do that. This was a really nice place! I ordered the Pulpo al Grill octopus dish (charred grilled octopus in adobo sauce; sides: jalapeño sliced potato stack, Noble bread), which tasted delicious and was one of their main suggested favorites. It wasn't large, and didn't look it, but somehow was nevertheless a good portion and quite filling. There was ample octopus in the dish, along with potatoes and a delicious aioli type sauce. We sat outside for dinner on a Friday and there were soo many super well dressed girls who passed by!! I was floored. There were very few bachelor parties going by, or guys of any type really, but we counted at least 5 or 6 bachelorette party groups and other super fashionable ladies! So interesting people watching. The restaurant outside patio area filled up quickly too, so it's definitely a popular spot. Waitress was pleasant, and yeah overall good experience my first time at this restaurant. Came here to meet with a group and was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful interior! The menu was so interesting I couldn't decide what to order. I decided to try a few small dishes. My only suggestion would have been to over lower price point for smaller portions because there is so much more I wanted to try and even 3 small plates added up to $50. I went with elote shaved off the cob, half portion. This was good. A bit mushy and needed a dash of salt. The tuna fresco tostado was good. Loved the accompanying sauce. Would have loved for the tuna too taste a bit more raw. The house salad was a very generous portion. Added goat cheese which was very tasty! Great avocado and greens. Didn't love the dressing so asked for cilantro dressing anchovies was thicker than I would have liked. I actually would have enjoyed a dressing more like the one with the tostado. Very zesty. Our server Jocelyn was such a darling! Checks could only be split 3 ways so was a bit cumbersome at the end so checks were not initially printed. Another great Mexican Food spot this one in the heart of Old Town. This is a great date spot. Get a reservation if you are going after 6pm. They have made patio seating out front that would be nice at certain times of the year but you are seated right next to the foot traffic going past the front door. Inside is very nice with a couple different seating sections and a bar area. DJs provide atmosphere with funky grooves on the weekends. I've been here a few times and the service is very good. But the food and drinks is what makes the experience and you are good no matter what you choose. Tacos, enchiladas, even the burgers are great. Craft cocktails from the bar are very creative. I'm not a Mezcal fan but if you are there are some supposedly great cocktails featuring that spirit. I prefer tequila and they had me covered. Came across Call her Martina after watching a movie close by and I enjoyed it tremendously!! The restaurant is located in beautiful Scottsdale Arizona, close to the Fashion Mall corridor. Arrived at lunchtime and the restaurant was surprisingly empty and we got seated right away by Martina!! The waiter brought us some needed ice water and some complimentary chips and salsa with 3 different dipping sauce which all three tasted great! We went ahead and ordered the guacamole and the carne asada nachos which both were more than enough for two people to share! The guacamole was nice and fresh but probably could have had some extrafresh lime juice imho but still it was nice! The nachos carne asada on the other hand was really tasty and everything paired so well together. The meat was nice and tender and the cheese and veggies made this a delicious appetizer. I also loved the thin sliced jalapeños which gave the dish a nice kick and elevate the flavors nicely!! 5 stars for great food, great ambiance and friendly service which made this a great dining experience!! read more

I booked this restaurant for a group of 10 while in Scottsdale for a work offsite. The food was delicious (my quesabirria taco was great), but the service was unfortunately quite slow and disappointing (for example, they forgot my cocktail, and then had to be reminded to bring it out multiple times; they never asked me if I wanted another). Our waitress was truly quite inexperienced and clueless. The space was modern and attractive, but loud. I'd come back for the food, but can't in good conscience recommend this place for a large group, given how remarkably slow and disappointing the service was. read more

We came here late Sunday evening so it wasn't too busy, but we came with 5 people and a stroller and they were able to accommodate us. I do have to say it was pricey but the food was delicious. My friend's Paloma & Her Shadow was excellent along with my Cosmo. Food wise, we ordered Guacamole, Chicken Taco, El Jefe Burro and a Taco'n Madre. all the food came out tasting great and presented well. I was torn between two main dishes and Emiliano thought based on my taste that I would like the Taco'n Madre the best... he hit it on the nail, I loved it. We asked if they had a really hot salsa and he brought it out for us right away. We told him not only was it my friend's B'day, but mine was the following week. Emiliano brought out 2 complementary B'day desserts. This was the icing on the cake, I didn't finish my Taco'n Madre and ask to get it boxed to-go. When Emiliano brought the check, I told him I asked the gentleman that took my plate to box up my leftovers and he said he would check on it. Our first time trying "Call Her Martina." It's a nice spacious restaurant with a large bar and both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a Top Shelf Margarita, and although it was good, it was overly sweet and very small for the $20 price tag. The "chips and salsa" were very unique! They came with three different sauces (avocado, semi spicy red salsa, and spicy green salsa), and homemade tortillas that you break into chips. We loved them! For dinner, we ordered the Carne Asada and Crunchy Steak Tacos. Both meals were very good! The meat was tender and flavorful, the cabbage on the crunchy tacos was crisp and fresh, and there was plenty of avocado and guacamole. The portions are good-sized and there was plenty of cheese on the crunchy taco shells. The service was efficient, as we got our food quickly, but our server was not overly friendly. We may try it again for the delicious food, and because it is family-owned, but we were a little disappointed with the service and margarita. read more

I walked by this place a few times and was curious to try it out, so finally got to try this place out! I was initially only thinking about happy hour here but it turned out to be a full on dinner experience here and was excellent! For summer, they have a happy hour menu going all summer long. While it's hot as Hades here in the summer, a lot of places in town run specials to get people in. I had their La Chingona Margarita on their HH menu and it was lovely! So good I had two! For dinner, I had the loco tuna ceviche and that was yummy! One of the better ceviches I have had in a long time, my taste buds woke up! Wowsers! Portion size was pretty good! I was tempted to get a dessert but will try it next time I am back! This place was great! This is a cute spot located at the Scottsdale Waterfront, across the street from Scottsdale Fashion Square. I met up with a cousin here on Sunday around 11am for brunch. I had made a reservation on OpenTable just in case, and it actually wasn't too busy until around noon. Before you even order, they bring you complimentary chips and salsa. It was very unique - it came with two large round tortilla chips that you need to break yourself and three small servings of salsa. Their brunch menu is available on Saturdays and Sundays 11am-2pm, but you can also order from their main menu too. It worked out great because we wanted to try the Elote & Roasted Bone Marrow appetizer ($20). It came out hot and full of flavor. We ended up pairing it with the tortilla chips to give it some texture and crunch. I enjoyed it but don't think I would order it again. From the brunch menu, we tried the Elote Pancakes and Chilaquiles. I thought the pancakes would taste a bit savory since it's already topped with something sweet (sweet cream cheese), but it was actually sweet on its own! We were both confused and amused by the taste. I didn't care for the Chilaquiles. It was like a deconstructed version where everything was separated - a bunch of thick tortilla chips with a drizzle of crema, refried beans, and two eggs. I just didn't think it was worth $17. For drinks, we both got a Carajillo. I'm so glad they made it right (unlike a different restaurant in Scottsdale) - just two simple ingredients, Licor 43 and a shot of espresso. The presentation was great too - it came out in a Licor 43 glass and topped with a cinnamon stick that they burned on one end to give it a smoky aroma. Service was great and attentive as well. Next time I will skip the brunch menu and try the entrees from the lunch/dinner menu. read more

There were two corn on the cobs, grilled and topped with a chipotle aioli. The aioli was spicy but not overpowering. I had the Beet in the Clouds salad with chicken . I truly enjoyed the salad, the beets were roasted and cubed on top of whipped goat cheese. My husband had carne asada tacos. Three tacos topped avocado , accompanied with beans and slaw. We love to share, so we ordered a few different items for the whole table: Guacamole $16 Loco tuna ceviche $27 Mahi-mahi ceviche $28 Baja tacos $17 Veggie tacos $17 Everything looked and tasted fresh. The margaritas were nice and refreshing. My personal favorite food items were the guacamole and the mahi mahi ceviche. The mahi mahi ceviche came with white fish, leche de tigre, cucumber, red onion, bell pepper, sweet potato, cilantro, and corn tostadas. It was light and fresh. The loco tuna ceviche was unique with salsa verde Tostitos, raw tuna, shrimp, avocado, cucumber, pico, red onion, cilantro, chipotle aioli, house citrus sauce, and salsa macha but unfortunately, was our least favorite. We started with the Elotes - I'm not even quite sure how they managed to taste every bit as decadent and delectable as you would expect, while simultaneously feeling like it was much lighter fare than a street corn vendor's. I've been to Call Her Martina twice now and had good experiences both times... On the most recent visit, I was with a party of three. We had a round of delicious drinks, an order of guacamole, and shared two different ceviches, and also a couple of orders of tacos. Our server was Luis and he was attentive and friendly. My husband and I chose "Call Her Martina" as our Anniversary dinner spot. This was our first time visiting. We found the place while browsing the restaurants nearby that are participating in Arizona Restaurant Week. We booked our table using Open Table, and upon arrival @ 5:30pm, there was only 1 other couple dining inside. We were greeted by a friendly hostess & seated instantly. The vibe is very welcoming. There is a decorative tree inside with lots of long flowing vines, which is nice. There was some music playing, and the lighting is very dim. We were given 2 complimentary tostadas and a trio of salsas to try. Our waiter was polite and attentive. Considering that we both used the Restaurant Week Promotion, we each got our choice of Red Wine, White Wine, Or Beer. We both opted for white wine, which was tasty. We got Elote off the cob & Chicken Flauta appetizers. Personally, I was not a huge fan of the Elote. The flavors were great, but the corn was slightly mushy. I think that it should be served with a small side of chips. That would be more appealing- especially for the price ($13.75) The flautas were delicious! I love that they were smothered with cheese, sauces & other herbs / veggies. For our entree we both got the crunchy steak tacos- which were absolutely amazing. If you like carne asada- don't even bother ordering anything else! The steak was cooked to Perfection - and the flavor was on point. We topped our meal off with dessert, which was a Churro Donut. My goodness- again, cooked to PERFECTION!!! It included Dulce de leche and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top. I have not had a dessert that good in quite a while. All in all, we had a wonderful experience here. This is not somewhere that I would go on a normal basis, as their pricing is a bit steep. I will note though that the pricing is justified. This is a great spot and the management here and wait staff are great. This is a good business to support The mahi mahi ceviche here is very good. Highly recommend. Same with the burrito and enchiladas. Very sad though that they are no longer on that Inkind app as many competing restaurants in the area are in it so perhaps hope they one day return to it! Love the complimentary tostada appetizer but sometimes they try to trick you by asking if you want a second one when you are charged for it so please try to be more forthcoming with that.
