I love a good Vietnamese coffee and Pannikin has a great one! Just enough sweetness and definitely enough espresso to get you through the day. I also love that the default size is 16oz. If you're going to order any food too, the banana cream pie is divine!! So much whipped cream it isn't funny and the banana filling is sweet as can be. A piece is definitely shareable with others. The Oceanside location is huge--tons of seating inside and more outside. There are outlets inside to bring your laptops and stay all day. The high ceilings, large windows and fresh breeze are so refreshing. You can honestly take an interview from outside and not be disturbed! If you order other food, they deliver to you and nothing ever takes very long. I have to come back!!

Cute coffee (plus) shop. We are visiting the area for the holiday weekend and this place is a short walk away. We used that as a reason to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather and a coffee and treat. Ordered by our table: rose tea latte, salted caramel latte (very sweet), iced coffee, cookie butter latte (sweet) and a slice of banana cream pie (as good as the one I make). Fair prices, amazing selection, well made everything. I was seated in an area to watch and hear orders. Everything was made and prepared at a good pace. No one was waiting too long. The place remained busy the entire time we were there which speaks to how much people love this place. The staff is friendly, engaging and welcoming. There is plenty of space to sit inside and outside. I really like the decor and layout.

This spot has a big menu and even bigger seating areas. Whatever vibe you are looking for this spot has it. You can sit in th front on the porch, inside on a couch, or in the back with the sunshine. Really nice aesthetic, and super good avocado toast. I came a bit later in the day but my matcha was filled with so much foam. I took a photo for reference before I took a sip. I do not need matcha foam. I even order whole milk so it's not like I got expensive oat or something. It is what it is, I'll say something next time I go. Really enjoyed the vibe here and the food menu looks really good so I'll definitely be back into he future to try more stuff

Really liked this place! It was pretty quiet inside with lots of seating offered. Definitely want to come back!

I come to Pannikin Oceanside for the vibes, not the food and drink. I like the merch they sell. Everything else is just barely okay. But it's so cute! Service is bleh. They have great indoor and 4 areas of outdoor seating. It's a great place to meet a date and compare your taste in food and decor. Or to meet your notary. I keep trying different things and it's never that great but I love the historic building and the great furniture they kept from Bunker House.

A nice little neighborhood shop to pop into! My family and I stayed in Oceanside, CA for the week. Pannikin was right around the corner from our Airbnb and was how we started our day! The coffee and pastries are nice, lots of options. HUGE cups of coffee. But what was really helpful was the turf area behind the shop! It offered a place for us to sit, enjoy our coffee and let our adventurous 8 month old crawl around. This was a helpful, family-friendly space. This is a lovely little spot and offered our family a morning coffee routine!

So happy this preserved bank location (prior coffee shop) was selected for Pannikin! They've really updated the space and surrounding patios and I love that Pannikin is now closer to me too. It's very easy to walk to and park near (if you find open parking in downtown). They have two entrances so you can access the shop from two different streets (Cleveland and Civic Center). The line doesn't seem as crazy here usually, but the baristas are quite fast with drinks so that probably helps to keep their constant customer flow going. In my recent visit, my husband and I ordered the cafe Mexican mocha and the iced Keith Richards, respectively. My go to is the Jimi Hendrix, but I decided to switch it up. First, I have to say I love that they gave me my iced coffee in their hot cups but that they doubled the cups so my coffee would stay colder longer (and wouldn't drink everywhere). It was great to use! I did enjoy the Keith Richard's, but I really do love that shot of hazelnut in the Jimi Hendrix. This location did make the drink exactly as expected too, great quality at every location. My husband really enjoyed his Mexican mocha as well. Honestly what's not to like? Can't wait to be regulars again at this location!

One of my favorite places to come a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth the freshness and the flavors

Very moist and well balanced pumpkin muffin, not too sweet or over powering with the pumpkin flavor.

The drip coffee medium roast was perfect, smooth, hot and went extremely well with a pumpkin muffin.

Went here to get some work done and its the perfect atmosphere. Theres plenty of inside seating and the staff at the counter were very friendly! I got an almond croissant and a sf oatmilk latte and it was phenomenal!

Pannikin has a really inviting space and friendly staff. It's a great place if you plan to study or do work or just hangout. I'm not a big fan of the drinks, there's a burnt taste whenever I've ordered an espresso beverage. Pannikin is not a bad choice if you happen to be in the area or you want a space to study, but there are better coffee shops in the area.

    Vanilla latte

This coffee was so gross. They only have one size which is way too big. Coffee shops need to start offering smaller sizes. At first they made it way too sweet and then they remade it to be so bitter it tasted like an americano when I ordered a vanilla latte half sweet.

This afternoon ago around 3 PM, I sat outside just enjoying my plane on a cold windy day. While siting and just having my coffee minding my own business, i heard a loud scream. It turns out these loud rowdy middle school girls walked past by this coffee place laughing, they saw me for the way I look, of course, I was wearing all black, had eyeliner and black nail polish. I got called "hey emo!" which is a very very demeaning. I have not ever heard anyone call someone that name since high school in a long time since before early 2010s I don't care what anyone else thinks of me, I was not bothered at all. But just in case, i was so nervous but I had very little bit of strength to tell the store manager what happened and had the audacity to shrug it off, " if there's anything else I can do for you." Well, you know what then, since I was harassed and degraded, I will never come back here again. Calling someone "emo" is really degrading, it's derogatory, it's hurtful. it's the same thing to call someone a f@g, it's not OK to call anyone that. Jason was never helpful nor apologetic towards me! I never let any name-calling get to me, but I don't deserve to get hurled out while I was simply sitting outside at the tables alone just having my coffee. Jason can go fuck himself! Fuck you jason! Asshole!!!!!

It's a great spot to meet up with friends or bring my mom when she arrives at the Oside train station from Grover Beach. It's a wonderful place to grab a flavored latte, seasonal drink, a glass of wine and a lunch bite, or all of the above! I also look forward to wandering through their gift area every time, where they stock unique jewelry, candles, fragrance rollerballs and 'clean' nail polish, plants and pots, kids' merchandise, t-shirts, and other cute stuff. I always buy something extra (and special) when I come. Their coffee bar is open, as is the general space, and there is plenty of seating outside in front and in back. You can watch the baristas make your drink and peep the beautiful Italian espresso machine and lovely bouquet of dried flowers by the bar while doing so. They bring their food out to you and when your espresso drink is ready they set it on the bar for you to pick up. Definitely a place to hang vs. grabbing a quick drink and rushing off about your day. I always want to stay and catch up with friends or bring my laptop to do some work, and they never make me feel rushed. Truly one of my favorite coffee shops in North County and in SD in general. (There is another high quality coffee shop in Oceanside that has incredible coffee and pastries--I won't mention the name--but I sometimes sense an attitude from the staff there, and that is a bit of a turnoff.) Right off of Vista Way in Oceanside. Scored a spot right in front...must've been kismit! They have the regular coffees but also some signature drinks as well. But it looks like there's some seasonal coffees too. Friendly hello when it was my turn. Me: So what do you think, butterscotch or pistachio? He: I would say pistachio because sometimes the butterscotch is too sweet for some. Pistachio it was! So definitely inquire about the seasonal coffees because this was delicious! Great flavor and dark chocolate shavings on top. This helped keep me awake on my long drive home! Love that they're local! Also bought The Colores blend which they happily ground for me, and it is really good! Mellow flavor with a hint of dark chocolate finish. Coffee 10/10 We ordered their vanilla latte with marshmallow cold foam and their coconut latte with toasted coconut cold foam. Both were incredible! The vanilla latte was not too sweet so the cold foam wasn't overkill at all. Both cold foams are more on the runny side and not too thick. The coconut latte was sooo tasteful. The coconut flavor definitely comes through. This was our first time trying a coconut latte and we were not disappointed. Food 9/10 We didn't order much food or pastries since we had breakfast prior but the pastries did look so good! We did get a salted shortbread to try and it was pretty solid. Vibes/Ambiance : 7/10 We came on a Tuesday morning and it was busy. The space is very spacious and there's plenty of seating area. There were people working there and hanging out. It's an open space so that was nice. The decor is minimal but cute. The staff is okay...I don't know if I'd describe as friendly, but they weren't rude. Not sure if it was the city as a whole but we didn't really feel welcomed or came across too many friendly people. It was the same here. Didn't interact much with us...just took our order and kept it pushing. lol not necessarily a bad thing but it was something we experienced a lot. Overall, the coffee was amazing here.
