Walking in I wasn't sure what to expect because it looked pretty run down. I wasn't expecting fine-dining, but the place didn't have a welcome feel. We were the first table in when they opened, but unfortunately the service felt a bit cold from the start. Our server seemed disengaged, which set a less welcoming tone for the meal. The food was just okay for us. Our kids enjoyed their spring rolls and "chicken" nuggets, which were an easy win. However, the entrees we ordered were quite salty and didn't have much depth of flavor. Afterwards, we realized they don't use garlic or onion, which would have been helpful to know ahead of time since it really affects the flavor profile. If we had known that, we likely would have chosen a different spot. Overall, it wasn't quite what we were expecting given the menu and reviews. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't stand out for us in a city with so many great food options.

We understand Chinatown restaurants may not always provide "fine dining" service, and honestly we were not expecting that. But the attitude from the short-haired lady server was extremely unpleasant. While we were still ordering, she already looked impatient and annoyed. We had two elderly people with us, so yes, we needed a little more time to order, but the restaurant was not even busy. What made the experience worse was that the staff were loudly chatting back and forth in Cantonese the entire time using rude language and gossiping nonstop. Customers come to enjoy a meal peacefully, not sit there listening to staff complain and bitch about things across the restaurant. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable, unprofessional, and stressful the entire meal. After this visit, we definitely will not return to the Chinatown location again.

I had forgotten whether I like the sweet and sour or the curry flavor, so I got 1/2 lbs of both. I end up liking the curry more. Anyway, I also got the crispy noodles with black bean sauce. Tasty, but a tad salty. Since it was autumn moon festival season, I also got a few vegetarian moon cakes. This is mostly a takeout place with some tables inside for eating in. I came around lunch time and shared a table with two lovely ladies that offered me a taste of their dishes. I refused but they were so nice. Service friendly and make sure to bring cash because they don't take card. Located on Washington St. and Ross Alley.

Greens is a vegetarian restaurant, and since I'm not a vegetarian, I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first. But I was so pleasantly surprised! I had the soup of the day, which was delicious, and absolutely loved the atmosphere and ambiance. The restaurant was packed, but that didn't impact the quality of the food or the service at all. Everything was wonderful. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this gem and will definitely be back. Highly recommend--even if you're not a vegetarian!

I dined with three people who had never been before and I was very interested in their reaction. Everyone gave it a thumbs up and loved it. We ordered a bread basket for the table since we all started with soup or chili. The basket is limited with amount- one roll, one cornbread and seeded wafers yet there was enough for everyone to split. I had the corn soup. It was quite good, perhaps not the best I've ever had but certainly up there. They rarely have a roasted tofu dish, brochettes seeing it on the menu, and having it pointed out by our waiter I definitely ordered it. Glad I did. It was awesome. The tofu was amazing, just perfect along with mushrooms, tomatoes and onion slices. All of it worked so well together. There was a side of orzo salad with a variety of fresh veggies mixed in- so good. I washed it down with an excellent glass of Sauvignon Blanc and plenty of water was provided. For dessert we shared a chocolate cake with ice cream and a peanut butter parfait. Both were good. The parfait came with candied peanuts and a brittle- a bit of a jaw breaker. Overall the meal was excellent and very enjoyable. Service was wonderful and attentive as is typical. If you're ever considering trying vegetarian food come here first. Well worth the visit.

For food we got the following: -Dahi Sev Puri - this was my favorite dish, really fun to eat and great flavors. -Chole Bhature - this was also great! The puffy bread was sooo delicious and the chickpeas were perfectly seasoned and delicious. -Bhel Puri - this dish was unique and was a good size portion, but not as flavorful as the other two dishes. It felt like eating a savory rice crispy cereal, but not in a bad way :P -Garlic Naan - pretty decent but nothing special -Jalebi - I was really excited to try this dessert. I looooved the texture (crunchy outside, with a gooey inside) but the actual flavor was not my favorite. To me, it tasted very similar to chlorinated water, and it was hard to get past that.. There was a different jalebi with a dipping sauce, and I wonder if that would have been better. They were out of it when we went, but I would try it again with that. Overall a really great restaurant, and definitely a place to try out if you're wanting a more unique Indian dining experience!

I wish they would mention that their weekend morning to lunch menu is different from the one displayed on their website. I drove all the way here for the main pizzas/pastas for my birthday, but we were only limited to breakfast food and burgers on a weekend afternoon. Also, I understand that weekends get busy, but our server did not check on us at least once. They were only present to take our orders and then drop off the check. As a former server myself, I am very aware of these things. It appeared that there was some down time to check on a simple 2-top as she was walking up and down scanning the tables. I can say that this is not reflective of the previous times I've dined here as the service has always been very pleasant, and the food never disappoints. For minimum $20 per entree, you would expect the servers to check-in on how the table finds their food and whether or not there is something they can provide to make it better.
