My friend suggested this place for dinner after I worked out. I was down since the options seemed light, and I'd never tried it before despite it being on my radar forever. I ordered the orecchiette & spicy sausage arrabbiata pasta with a side salad, which was just the right amount of food. Only annoying thing about the experience dining in was the service. My friend and I ordered separately, and she placed two orders at the in-store kiosk - one for dine-in and one for takeout for another friend. She placed the orders separately, so there were two distinct transactions, and she took two numbers. I didn't notice the numbers, so I just put my name into the kiosk I ordered from. A staff member stopped by our table and berated my friend for taking two numbers even though she was in the right because she placed two separate orders. Sure enough, when she went to pick up the to-go order, the second number was written on the bag. I had this saved in my bookmarks with "2025 best burgers in SF" and wound up getting the cold noodle salad instead! My partner wanted to try the pasta with tomato sauce and sausage and we matched both up with sparkling wine based drinks. Service was exceptionally quick and the pasta was piping hot. Both the pasta and the noodle salad had a really intense spicy kick to them but overall the flavours were just perfect and delicious. We cleared out both our dishes fast and were very happy with the food. The only (small) complaint is the pasta should come with bread or something similar to clean up all the extra sauce that gets left in the bowl when you're done eating! The sauce was so good and they are generous with the volume of it, we would have loved to leave a clean bowl and get all the delicious sauce out. Third review. 1. The vegan pasta is comforting, rich with just a touch of heat. I absolutely love it. 2. The eggs...mushy and very sweet squash in eggs next to boiled potatoes? Ketchup with a dash of curry? Salad dressing so light you can't even tell it's present? I love eggs and this could have been one of the favorites. It was not a satisfying meal at all. 3. Chimichurri Burger- the combination of grilled onions, peppers, crunchy potato sticks is a truly amazing and creative combo. The bun? Several days old, dry - it tasted dry, dense and stale. Instead of absorbing the sauces and bringing everything together it did the very opposite. I was going to try their French toast and decided to make it at home instead - fresh challah or brioche with vanilla bean, cinnamon, pinch of salt and splash of heavy cream mixed in with eggs + maple syrup and fresh berries. I have been coming here regularly lately because I'm often in the area for jazz events. My friend and I are both vegan so this is absolutely one of our favorite eateries! Between the two of us, we've probably eaten everything on the menu. I was here for Earth Day for the BOGO impossible burgers as well. Plus, if you show them that you are an SF Vegan Society member, you can get a discount. I'm not sure how old the restaurant is, but they maintain it well and it is always busy. Ordering involves a kiosk! We ordered an avocado toast, Vietnamese latte, and a golden latte. Took about 13 min to get ready and it wasn't super busy. The greens have a perfect amount of dressing where you get a taste of it in each bite without it being overwhelming. The onions are a perfect compliment to the toast. Also, the potatoes are not to be overlooked; crispy outside, juicy inside, well seasoned, and served with a complex ketchup that had notes of curry, I couldn't get enough. I usually hate ketchup too, for the record. My friend got the chilaquiles which was a stunning mountain of food. Rad radish has really grown on me. Not that I didn't like it when they first opened, but I think I dismissed it as just being a limited version of Wildseed. But not so! Rad Radish's menu is really great irrespective of its connection to Wildseed. And their space in Hayes Valley is a lot closer/convenient for me, not to mention just a nice environment overall. What I appreciate most about Rad Radish's menu is the solid representation of vegetable-forward dishes, including excellent salads, wraps, and apps like the cauliflower. They also have a thorough beverage menu--cocktails, mocktails, juices, coffee, and tea. And the icing on top (for me), usually one or two muffins available! As to their space, I personally like the self-seating and order from the QR code system. It allows you to do your own thing and take as little or as much time as you need. The first time I tried the wrap, I brought one back for my anti-vegan coworker ("If I'm buying food, I'm clogging my arteries with pig fat!") and she really enjoyed it. She didn't know it was vegan. It was so delicious and although it doesn't fully mimic what chicken tastes, it does come very close which is impressive. The sandwich bursts with flavor and you finish feeling full but not heavy or bloated which is what meat sometimes does to me. I also ordered the vanilla oat milk soft serve and oh my gosh...do I dare say I prefer this ice cream over Salt & Straw's? Lovely all-vegetarian spot for a casual and affordable meal, either in their beautifully decorated and super colorful space or for takeaway. I can't speak to the dine-in service, but they're super efficient for pick-up. Our order was done within 15 minutes and available on a convenient pick-up shelf in the back of the restaurant. I loved their mezze salad with neatballs, which came with a fresh bed of arugula, mint, and parsley, topped with pickled onions, cucumber, tomatoes, roasted red bell peppers, and quinoa. I loved the mix of the peppery, slightly bitter flavor profile from the arugula with the fresh herbs, the crunch of the cucumber, and the extra smokiness from the roasted bell peppers. The quinoa and hummus helped give the salad a bit more bulk, and the added neatballs were tasty as well. They didn't quite have the flavor and texture to be convincing meatballs, but they were quite good as far as meatless balls go. My partner got the spicy chick'n sandwich, which was delicious. I've been coming here for awhile and I'm glad that they have made good use of the space. There's PLENTY of seating inside and out. It's a very casual vibe. So far I've gotten the orecchiette pasta, the chicken sandwich, and most recently the chicken Caesar wrap. The pasta was yummy! I liked that it had a kick of spice. Overall, it was a very comforting dish. The fried chicken sandwich was okay. As someone who does eat real chicken, the texture of the vegan chicken isn't going to be the same and I expected that. I think battering and frying oyster mushrooms might give it a crunchier texture that I'm looking for. And the Caesar wrap was delicious! I know Caesar wraps are a thing now, and this is the second one I've had. So I can't compare it to the one from that popular place in Cow Hollow. But I thought it was so good that I even contemplated on getting it today when I only had one yesterday. The veggies are fresh, the amount of dressing is just right where it gently coats the lettuce. And the lettuce and kale are crunchy, as well as the croutons. I don't think it needed the chickpeas, which weren't very crunchy. I think offering roasted chickpeas on the side would've been better. The menu has a lot of variety, and the flavors were fresh and creative--not just substitutes for meat dishes. 9.17.25 I hadn't had the kale Caesar salad in a while because of the new dressing and decided to order one again. The dressing has definitely changed- it's thinner and more tart than before, and I really preferred the original recipe. My salad also came without croutons (this has happened a few times, and I've noticed other reviews mention it too, so maybe it's a common miss when things get busy). The falafel also tastes different now, a tartness that wasn't appealing to me.
