The first two times I made an appointment. I arrived on time and...I waited. And waited. Both times my nails were rough and lumpy with the dip, a couple of my fingers bleeding around the cuticle because the technician was careless with the Dremel. So, I tried a spur of the moment appointment. I was taken right back, trying to pick a color while the technician worked on getting the dip off my fingers. I didn't want to hold her up, so I went with my comfort zone. I asked for an accent nail. She said okay. When she started dipping she completely forgot the accent nail. But, I took it in stride. I told her not to worry about it, maybe she could just put sparkle on it to accent. She agreed and we continued. I started noticing my nails were cut really crooked. Not just a bit off, but my fingers looked crooked. Okay, no big. No one else is gonna pay that much attention to notice...then the final touches, making not one or two fingers bleed, but several. Ugh. The end result was copious amounts of lumps textures. I also took a chance to get my eyebrows waxed while the dip was soaking off my fingernails. They weren't sisters when I left. Not even cousins...yeah they will grow back. My nails can be redone. But, I just can't see myself throwing my hard earned money away at a place that has so little regard for my satisfaction or the quality of their own product. In fairness, they were really busy. Maybe a bit overworked even. The atmosphere is nice. The employees are really nice. But, I won't frequent this establishment again.

They both said, if you are concerned about cleanliness, this is the salon for you. I see Jenny, for my nails and her husband Mike for my pedicures usually. They both do an incredible job. Actually, I have been to almost everyone there at some point and every knows how to do nails incredibly well. I usually get a design on my nails and I'm always happy with the outcome. They are friendly, and many people don't like that they speak in their native tongue in front of them, but I have no.problem with it. If someone is going to complain about me, I would think that they would rather not deal with me, so I'm not worried about them talking to each other in Vietnamese. It just makes sense to me. They are also very nice yoing ladies. They do a brisk business and Pauline even has a floral business too on facebook - Pretty Florals, she works with many exotic plants rather than just the normal garden variety. She made a beautiful hydrangea arrangement for my mom, in all blue. It was gorgeous. My nails are always done well. I get compliments all the time on my nails.Especially when I have dragonflies, damselflies, music notes or treble and bass clefs. So cool! And I always get french tips regardless of the color I select.

I also am in my 40's and have to use a walker because of severe juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and my feet don't turn very well, but I have never had issues before with any pedicure. While the tech was working on my toenails I asked her to not move my feet so much, and to stop trying to bend them as they don't bend like "normal" people. She was then doing the foot massage and was banging on my legs and feet and told me "relax, relax." The problem is that my feet and legs don't relax. When it was time to put my flip flops back on, I told her I wanted to put them on because its tricky. She wouldn't let me put them on, and she maneuvered my one foot that it hurt for over a week, it was very sore. The prices also changed and dont match the website.

But when I paid the prices did not match up with the online pricing. When I inquired the owner replied that the nail tech was allowed to make her prices because she is an experienced nail tech and she charged higher for her work. Which should not be acceptable or discussed with the customer first. Especially since it was a 12-year-old nails being done. She also could not even give my daughter the design asked for. Worst experience, overcharge. First and last time at Tre Nail Bar.

However, my recent visit left me feeling incredibly disappointed and disrespected. When I went in, I had some trouble choosing a nail color out of a book that is covered with cellophane and I was told three times that Kaitlyn would see me as soon as I picked out a color. That meant that I should hurry. I prefer to see the actual sample against my nails to get a better idea of how it will look. Feeling rushed, I showed the technician three colors I was considering, asking if I could see them on my nails. She only brought out one bottle and applied a single coat. When I mentioned I was looking for a deeper mauve shade, she showed me bright fuchsia colors instead. When I pointed out what I was envisioning, she dismissed it, saying it wasn't mauve. When I asked to see a slightly darker shade, her response shocked me. She flatly said, "I'm not going to show you anything else. You didn't like what I picked out for you." It was clear she was angry. She then placed two boxes of polish on the table and asked me to choose, but they were still in their boxes. How could I possibly decide without seeing them on my nails or at least a piece of paper? Reluctantly, I asked her to apply the first color, even though it was too light. She had already put it away and begrudgingly went to get it. During this time, I commented to the customer next to me that it felt like I was there to get yelled at, despite being a paying customer. The technician never spoke to me again, only conversing with her coworker in Vietnamese. I even asked if there was time for a pedicure, and she curtly said yes. As I was leaving, I gave her a generous tip and calmly asked her not to speak to me in that tone again. She didn't respond or even look at me, despite speaking perfect English. I also noticed another customer having issues with her technician, who didn't speak English and was filing her natural nails too roughly despite the customer's protests. The urgency to pick a color here is overwhelming--you're given about 60 seconds. For the amount of money I spend regularly, I expect to leave the salon satisfied, not come home feeling rushed and needing to fix my nails myself. I understand that salons aim to serve as many clients as possible, but it wasn't even busy that day. What hurts the most is that the technician I've been seeing for months didn't acknowledge me as I left. It's clear she's upset with me for not picking a color quickly, but I just want to walk out of the salon happy with my nails. Is that really too much to ask?
