I came in for my usual gel mani/pedi. Since I don't get Gel-X, the technician recommended builder gel to help maintain the health and longevity of my natural nails, which I appreciated. My nails grow quickly, so I usually come back every 3.5-4 weeks for maintenance. Today, I requested a short length and a round shape that followed my natural nails. My only concern was with the filing--because my nails were already short, it started getting a little too close to the skin near the sensitive nail bed area. It didn't hurt too badly, but there was a mild stinging sensation at times. Another thing I wanted to mention was the total. My service came out to $125. While I understand pricing can vary depending on add-ons or designs, I was a little confused because the last time I received the exact same services, I paid $110. I would've really appreciated a receipt or price breakdown so I could better understand how the total was calculated. For reference, this visit included a gel mani/pedi, builder gel, a simple design, and the #2 Tru Signature Sugar Scrub pedicure. At my last appointment, I received the #3 Tru Moisture Rich pedicure, so I was surprised to see a higher total this time. Overall, I still had a positive experience and enjoyed the service.
