Well, this is my first time leaving a negative review on Yelp but maybe it will save somebody from having the experience that I had. I got a gel manicure at Lani Nails & Spa about 3 weeks ago. It was gorgeous, exactly what I wanted, and I got tons of compliments. Because this was my first gel manicure ever, I decided that instead of trying to remove it myself that I would go back to the salon. After all, they are the professionals. Y'all, I had long beautiful and absolutely gorgeous natural nails that are now absolutely f*cked up. They are covered in white scratches and rough to the touch (see attached pic). I wish I had a before picture of how beautiful my nails were before this. Everything I've read online says that this sort of damage is a result of improper removal. Cindy did not let the acetone sit on my nails for more than like 3 minutes before using a tool to scrape the polish off of my nails, which is likely what caused all of the damage. I felt like she was spending more time trying to convince me to get another manicure and get more money out of me than caring about my nails. If I had let her paint my nails again then chances are I would have never seen all the damage that she had done. It will take ~months~ for my nails to recover from this. So, if you value the health of your nails then do not come to this salon. Or maybe get the manicure done here but do NOT allow them to remove it. I would never go to a hair salon that left my hair looking nice but also damaged my hair in the process, and my nails deserve the same treatment. Would leave 0 stars if I could and hope this saves somebody else the nail recovery journey that I now have to go through. Literally, just went on a shopping spree to buy cuticle oil, nail treatment, and hair/skin/nail vitamins for the journey ahead. Wish me luck! read more

I wanted to wait a little after getting my nails done here before I left a review because I have been to many salons and then left a review right away and my nails were messed up a few days later. With that being said, it's been around 2 weeks and my nails still look amazing ! Cindy is awesome !! This is a small little place right by my house that I walked to and my aunt told me to ask for Cindy since she does her nails. I came before they closed and had to stay a little after closing time and Cindy was so awesome about it and still took me as a customer. She was so sweet and nice and you can NOT beat the price here. I have gotten so many compliments on my nails the past 2 weeks. I really wanted Easter Vibe nails and they are so cute. After getting an acrylic gel fill and a pedicure my total was $58! I was shocked !!! I attached pictures so you all can see how cute my nails turned out. Btw these pics are from right now and not when I got my nails done 2 weeks ago. Def found my new nail place. Went to this salon last minute as I needed my nails and lashes done before a vacation we had coming up. The acrylic fill and pedicure were rushed, but there was literally NO ONE ELSE in the business during my visit. The callus removal is normally my favorite part of a pedicure, but I left with barely any improvement at all and oddly shaped toenails. The acrylic nails were way too thick and not shaped to my liking - I requested coffin nails and left with boxy squares. I asked a few times during the shaping process for them to be more narrow but gave up. This was my first time getting eyelash extensions in 10+ years so I forgot how the process worked and went with it. I left the salon with a cut on my right eye that left severe inflammation and redness for several days as well as a lot of pain. The lash tech I saw today at another location said the lashes were glued in chunks instead of individually, which is why I had huge gaps instead of a natural fallout appearance. I won't be back for two reasons, 1) I live in Irvine and 2) the quality of work was not to my liking. Ending this review on a positive note though, the price is great. I'm used to paying way more for the services I request. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star for the eyelash service , I would. Lani (eyelash tech) did my eyelashes on Friday and not only did I wait 45 min after my appointment but I did not get what I asked for. I have had eyelashes before so I knew I shouldn't experience pain, discomfort and itching. I told her several times that my eyes were burning and she would use a mini fan to help with the burning. I wasn't sure what she was doing but I assumed she was adding a lot of eyelashes. Long story short, my eyes burned after the procedure , it hurt to blink and they felt super heavy. She said it was normal and that the fake eyelashes were placed at the root of my eyelash so it would last longer. I ended up calling her on Sunday and she said she'd remove a layer, something that is clearly not possible . I ended up going to a new lash technician who said it seemed like she added tons of glue and placed eyelashes wherever she wanted. She had clumped 3 of my natural eyelashes to one fake eyelash. My natural eyelashes were stuck together (full of glue). It took the tech over an hour and a half to remove . Never again will I go there nor recommend Lani. I'm disappointed. She had quoted me 60 dollars over the phone but ended up charging me 65 plus the tip. read more

Don't come here. Bad customer service. I came in with my niece my mom to get our nails done. The main lady was giving attitude to my 15 year old niece because she got mix up since she doesn't get her nails done. I was looking for a new place to get my gel manicures and pedicures. I am so happy I decided to come here. I am bad with names so I apologize for not remembering who did my nails. The lady that did my pedicure spent a good amount of tie on my feet. She was very personable and sweet with me. I recently had surgery on one of my feet, and she was really careful. I appreciated that! The man that did my manicure was quick and really good! I am happy with the products they used, the shop was nice and clean, the massage chairs were great! I had my eyebrows done too...really good job! Detailed work!! Both of the people that worked on me gave really nice massages. Not too short, not too rough...just right. This place is the horrible to get your eyelashes done. I would never come here again. during the process of getting my eyelashes done I told her my eye was burning and she told me it would go away. Once I opened my eyes they were blood shot red. Came two days later she didn't want to give me a refund or even take off. The worst part is when she was look at them she snipped me with the tweers.
