Never mind the very generic name. This place is a well oiled machine. I went last Saturday at 4pm for a pedicure. I called them first to make sure they can take me in right away even though I don't have an appointment. They said yes so I went. When I got there, they already had a spot for me. I had Carol. She was friendly and thorough. The place was clearly packed but man I was impressed with their efficiency! Bada-bing bada-boom! I was in and I was out! Within that 20 or so minutes, this mommy got some pampered toes and knots loosened in that massage chair! For an unplanned pampering that was a great day indeed! My only hangup was the lack of price listings inside, $21 for a pedicure seem a little steep for me, and they charge $1 for debit/credit charge so definitely bring cash when you come here. The nail salon has been in the Granada Hills area for a long time. I started coming to them about 12 years ago. I come here for waxing and I am never disappointed. Customer service is great! Even if they are busy, they are so nice to their customers. Lily is exceptional and one of the only people I trust with my brows. If you are looking for an eyebrow lady, I recommend her! THE worst $52 gel pedicure i have ever received in my life. The polish was applied so clumpy and sloppy with no attempt to even clean it up. I had to get acrylic on the left toes due to them being broken and short and i like them long... didn't even matter cuz they put the acrylics on just as short... don't even ask me what's going on with the pinky toes. Im going to spend the rest of the night removing the acrylic and polish and go somewhere else tomorrow. read more

I called in for a walk in gel pedicure and was told i could be seen within 5 minutes. I was across the street already so it was very convenient. Am not too happy with the pedicure I was given. The lady rounded out my toe nails which 4 days later are already causing pain and were cut way too short. The gel polish was left all over my skin and not clean looking. Once it came time to pay I handed my card and told "u got cash to tip". This caught me very off guard/taken aback and made me feel pressured to tip. She walked across with the salon with my card I waited about a minute or two walked over to where she was because I wasn't sure what else to do. I was handed my card a receipt told to sign and told see u next time. read more

Find another place to go if you can. I came to this place right when they opened l to book 3 pedicures for 4 pm in the afternoon. They said they have the appointments open. They wrote down 3 pedis at 4 pm. We'll all go at the same time, the lady said. We arrived at the appt at 4:02 and saw them walking in two other girls. They finally had two out of the 3 of us sit at 4:30 pm. I am still waiting for my technician. What was the point of making an appointment? No one even apologized for the wait. Please note I have been here a couple of times and I keep thinking next time will be better. Their pedis are just ok which is why I gave two stars. If I were to base it on customer service alone it wouldn't even be one star. This will be the last time I'll be coming to this place. I've given them enough chances. Btw last note, they demand you pay in cash. If you don't have cash they'll ask you for a personal check and/or PayPal or Venmo. They do not want to take credit cards as much as possible. At 4:40 they finally got to me. The two other people I came with finished 10 min earlier. The girl is rushing to get me all done. So I waited 40 min and my pedi was done in 20 min. Half ass massage and they didn't scrape for dead skin. She literally finished polishing my toes and already putting on my flip flops. They're not even giving me a few minutes to let my toes dry. First off, We walk in and 3 women including the manager were grooming a dog by the sanitation station. There were 5 women working here and all were so preoccupied by this dog being groomed that they left my friend sitting at a station unattended for 20 minutes. They were sitting around on their cellphones with their shoes off. The dog is running around freely through the salon and they're so distracted and kept turning their heads to watch the adorable puppy. I finally got on yelp to see their reviews and it looks like they might be struggling as far as leadership. I asked who the manager was and brought up the bad reviews and stated "I'm sure things have gotten better, right?" All of them stopped talking about the dog and got to work. First and only time I'll be going here. Wish I could give it ZERO stars. Visited this place with my cousin for a gel mani & reg pedi. I was with Yen ( pretty sure that was her name). She was so rough taking the gel off my nails and during filing that she actually filed off my skin, right below my cuticles. SEE PICS! Just ridiculous. I hope I don't have scars. I've been keeping neosporin on them for the past 4 days so they don't get infected. They STILL HURT!!! Most of my fingers were bleeding when she was done filing! OUCH!!!! She apologized but that didn't help me get thru the mani any easier. I ended up just getting a reg. mani. She did better with my pedi but my sore fingers kinda overshadowed everything else positive about this place. I asked the front desk girl for some kinda of discount and she reluctantly gave me $5 off, which was the cost to remove the gel polish. Tina is the best for mani/pedi. She gives the best hot lotion massages, and is very meticulous. Free parking, receptionist speaks English so it's convenient to make appts. Majority of the ladies at the salon speak good English. The owner is the best with waxing. She has cortizone cream, antibiotic ointment in case of hives... Love this because I usually need all of these because of the hives.. read more

I went to this salon yesterday without an appointment to ask about getting my tattooed eyebrows redone because the last person at another salon didn't do a good job. I spoke to Lily who does the permanent makeup and after she debated over doing the job because she wanted me to be happy, we decided to have it done. She took so much time drawing the eyebrows showing how we could correct the mistakes and then we agreed to do the actual tattooing. Lily is one of the sweetest caring persons I have ever met. I have two words for you: HOT LOTION! I can't believe I never knew this place was here before. First, I loved that despite the fact that they seemed really busy, I didn't have to wait at all. Straight from the door to the chair. The woman who did my manicure did a really good job. And now, enter hot lotion: they give you a hand massage with warm lotion and then wrap your hands in a warm towel = AMAZING! My manicure came out really pretty and whatever quick dry polish top coat they use is much better than at other salons. My nails were actually completely dry after 5 minutes! So sad that the owner did my nails and this is what she charged me for I was in no mood to fight or argue or make her redo them I can just fix my nails basically my manicure was just an overcharged job for removing my acrylics. No massage after manicure horrible horrible horrible!!!!! Especially when I've gone there and gotten amazing work done by one of her employees! She should lead by example and make sure her work is as good or better than her employees. Will not be returning ever again! Clumpy and left nail polish all over didn't bother to clean anything. read more

Came in for a pedi, no appt, no problem. They were able to help me right away. Nice ladies by the way. Spa Pedi was 18 dlls, no option for regular cheaper pedi.... Which was fine bc I could use a little massage. Cleaned my cuticles, feet and massage/ exfoliate my legs all were great, UNTIL the nail polish part. The lady who did my nail was very, I mean VERY sloppy with them. I had asked her twice to fix my nails, but it was still messy. At this point, I was fed up and left it alone. Looking at my nails again, I should've said something bc she didn't paint my nails even close to the cuticles. Maybe I would go there again but definitely not with the same lady. I didn't get her name but she was older with glasses. Oh and free water bottle. read more

I've now been coming to The Nail Salon for over a year now and it is STILL my nail place of choice. I get a pedicure every two weeks and Tracy is my favorite technician! Tina is great too (she's my landlord's go-to lady) and Julie has taken good care of me also. The whole place is friendly and clean and they take good care of their customers. They provide cold water if you request and the pedicure chairs are awesome. Tracy always uses the lovely hot lotion and gives me a mini-massage for no extra charge. Ahhhh.. . I've had manicures and my eyebrows waxed also with great service all around. It's the perfect spot for some "me" time. read more

I'm still sitting in this nail shop. My experience was so poor. I popped in to get a full set before work because i work at the trader joe's right across the lot. I think the manager is the one in the first chair who rushed through my full set. The whole time she seemed as if she didn't want to do my nails. But was extremely warm and inviting to from the looks of it returning customers. She didnt do a terrible job, but the shape was clearly rushed and she slathered three thick layers of polish on and sent me on my way. Did not even attempt to assist me to the drying area. Don't even bother. There is a much bigger, much more inviting, and better quality nail salon right across the street! read more

I just recently moved to the area so I tried a new place and I'm disappointed. My nails aren't even lengths or shapes. I came for a full set with gel my total was $40. They are incredibly short even though I asked for medium length and I made specific that I don't want my nails done if they'd be short. Just went in for an acrylic fill. The place is very clean and decorated beautifully. Fill was $20, which is a bit pricier considering $15-$20 is the price point for this part of the valley. I was very happy with my nails. Quick and efficient but good quality work. Will probably go again. read more

The best time to come here is definitely in the morning for your pedicure and nail needs. My sister introduced me to this location since moving to this side of the valley going to my other spot was out of the way. Also I was looking for a location that closed late in the evening and that opened during the weekend early. She said 'for your pedicures schedule it with Tracy she is very good.' Sure enough Tracy has been great every single time I've come by to get a pedicure. She is very patient, knowledgeable, takes her time and she makes you feel super comfortable. What makes a client feel welcome and special I believe is when the staff member remembers your name. This time around I decided to get my acrylic nails done and once again my sister recommended someone. She said 'go with Mae and explain to her what you want and she will do it.' Mae definitely did exactly what I wanted her to do. I showed her a picture of how I wanted the shape of my nails once and that was enough for her to remember it all. I've gotten compliments and I would definitely keep getting them done with Mae. All in all my experiences at The Nail Salon have been great. I will definitely continue making my appointments with Tracy and Mae. read more

Have been coming here for 15+ years now. All the gals are great Mimi and Julie are a great team fir Mani / pedi (Mimi for mani). Mimi is really quick and my French manicure lasts 3 weeks! They keep up the decor so it has a nice ambience. The music may not be what you listen to at home but it is relaxing. I do suggest making an appt so you do not have to wait. read more

It's a really nice place on the inside and the staff is friendly but the lady who did my acrylic nails just did them really bad I asked for a fill and to shorten them. She over filled and painted them horribly one of my thumb nails is crooked and the drill hurt me twice. I've gotten my nails done at many places and like the lady there they just don't care anymore. read more

I walked in with no appointment and they took me in right away and started my gel manicure right away. A big plus! The lady who did my nails did a great job. The lady who did my eyebrow wax was a whole other story. She was called in to come since it was earlier in the day. When she came in she had a forced smile on her face, and was yapping on her Bluetooth headpiece during the entire wax. She was not gentle at all maneuvering my head like I was a rag doll. $7 for a color change to french tip is a great deal, yes? Well, not when two days later, it still feels wet and small bubble surface on you polish. The problem with this salon (and many others of its caliber) is that your first coat isn't dry yet (after sitting in front of a baby fan for less than a minute) and they're already on the second coat and eying the lady that just came in through the door. Honestly, I blame their selection of polish. (Definitely no OPI lacquer here!) As a patron that's waited and has some place to go, I'm grateful that you breezing through us. However, when you use poorer quality polish you have to take your time to let it set. And, the minute that I go under that UV and bubble surface, I cringe at the fact that I have to give them a $3 tip but still oblige. Anyhow, accessible parking and the sheer convenience of this place will have me return. However, when I do, I'm bringing my own stuff for them to use. read more

My frustration was with how the front desk attendant, Zoe, handled it. I was told I had to pay the Brazilian price even though I had booked and communicated that I wanted a Bikini Full. When I questioned this, Zoe brought Jazlyn to the front to discuss what happened in front of several other customers. Given the personal nature of the service, this made me extremely uncomfortable and felt unnecessary. I would have appreciated some acknowledgment of the booking/miscommunication issue and a private, professional attempt to resolve it. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and frustrated over how the situation was handled. I hope management uses this as an opportunity to provide additional training on customer service, discretion, and de-escalation.

After my visit, I developed an issue on my right toe, which is completely unacceptable and honestly alarming. From what I observed during my appointment, hygiene practices were not being followed properly. I personally saw tools being reused on multiple clients without being properly sanitized, despite the fact that they clearly have sanitation machines available. That alone is a serious violation and puts customers at risk. When I brought this issue up, the man at the front with the thick eyebrows did absolutely nothing to help. There was no concern, no accountability, and no attempt to resolve the situation. It felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially considering the severity of what happened. Because of this, I will be reporting this salon to the Board of Cosmetology. No one should have to worry about infections or unsafe practices when getting something as routine as a nail service. Please be careful if you are considering coming here. Your health and safety should always come first, and based on my experience, this place does not meet those standards.

My mom used to come to The Nail Salon when she was pregnant with me, and that was 26 years ago! Three generations of women in my family have been going to this salon since it opened: my grandmother, my mom, and me. We absolutely love it here. I've tried other salons, but they've never had as good quality of service as they do here. So now, I refuse to go anywhere else. Lily is so sweet, friendly, and very honest. She gives me a hug every time I see her. Since I was a teenager I started coming to get my eyebrows, lip, and underarm waxed. I like to get waxed every two weeks. Lily does an excellent job, and she's never burned me once. The waxing room is private, clean, and sanitary. She changes the sheet after every customer. Her waxing bed/chair is adjustable so she can adjust it to go up or down to get a better angle when she is waxing. I love the shape she does on my eyebrows. One time, when I was getting ready to go to a school dance, I came with a friend who was just getting her manicure and pedicure done. She didn't have enough money for waxing, but Lily offered to do eyebrow waxing for her for free anyway! So sweet! I like to get my pedicures done by Mimi. She is great. She does a nice, clean job. She always cleans the dead skin around my cuticles very thoroughly and takes off all my callouses. My feet feel so soft, clean and pretty afterwards. And the pedicure lasts for at least two weeks. I always feel relaxed and comfortable every time I come here. The price is very reasonable. I strongly recommend this salon to anyone. It is very clean, the decorations are nice and well coordinated. Unfortunately, my experience today was very different. The nail technician who did my nails seemed rushed, aggressive, and dismissive. I had to explain multiple times how I wanted my nails done because he kept trying to do them his own way instead of listening to what I was asking for. There was also a moment where I thought three coats of polish had been applied, but when I asked about it, I was told only two coats were done and was told I could "look at the cameras" if I wanted to verify it, which felt unnecessary and rude. Overall, my nails turned out okay in the end, but only because I had to repeatedly speak up and guide the process myself. The biggest issue wasn't the final result, it was the attitude and overall experience. Getting your nails done is supposed to feel relaxing, and unfortunately today it was stressful instead.
