Shrimp orzo salad was delicious. Lobster roll ( conneticut style) so good! Rivals the real lobster rolls I've had in Maine.

Food was amazing. Beautiful area outside right on the Mississippi River. Great lobster roll!!!

I had…read morechargrilled oysters at pretty much every restaurant we visited, and theirs were definitely some of my favorites... juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. We started with the steak tartare and stuffed mushrooms, and both were absolutely delicious. My hubby had the redfish, which he really enjoyed, and we also loved the desserts! We literally inhaled the food, I didn't even take many pictures because everything was that good! This was our second visit to Superior Seafood this year, and it definitely won't be our last. Great food, great flavors, and a place we'll happily keep coming back to. 10/10!

Still a Favorite, But Definitely Pricier…read more We went back to Superior Seafood Friday night with my husband and daughter. We've been here many times over the years, but it had been a while since our last visit. We started with the crawfish beignets and spinach & artichoke dip--both were delicious! I especially love the tortillas they serve with the dip, along with salsa and sour cream. For our entrées, my husband had the redfish topped with crab meat, my daughter had the 12-oz steak frites, and I had the seared scallops with green beans. Everything was good overall, and my daughter especially loved her steak. Each entrée also came with a small salad with a light dressing and a couple of marinated olives, which I really enjoyed. The one disappointment was the lentils that now come with the redfish. My husband remembered the dish coming with potatoes, which he preferred. I tried the lentils too, and neither of us was a fan. The restaurant was packed, but we only waited about seven minutes to be seated, and the lively atmosphere didn't bother us at all. Our server was friendly and attentive despite how busy it was. My biggest takeaway, though, was the price increase. Many entrées are now $35-$40+, and by the end of dinner, we realized we had spent quite a bit for three people--enough to make us think we could have eaten at a higher-end restaurant for the same price. Still, we enjoyed our evening and would recommend Superior Seafood. We especially like coming here for happy hour and sitting at the bar, which is probably our favorite way to visit!

A Seafood Spot We Keep Coming Back To!…read more My husband, my daughter, and I have been going to Boil Seafood House for the past few months, and so far, we've really enjoyed every visit. It's definitely become a place we keep coming back to. We usually get the seafood boil with snow crab legs, and this time we went with the medium heat and butter garlic flavor. Everything was really good and full of flavor. My husband and I got the potatoes as our sides, while my daughter got the boiled eggs. We also ordered a side of French fries to share, and let me just say... we ate those so fast that I completely forgot to take a picture! They were good! I also like the whole seafood boil experience here. They offer you a bib and gloves if you want them, which definitely comes in handy when you're getting into those crab legs. The service has been good every time we've visited, and the atmosphere is always lively. One of the coolest things happened after we had finished eating. Someone came around offering little samples for people to try, and they stopped by our table and asked if we wanted to try the soft-shell shrimp. I'm not sure if it's something new on the menu or just something they were serving as a sample, but we said yes -- and I'm so glad we did! That shrimp was delicious! It literally melted in my mouth. I'm usually not a big fan of eating anything with the shell still on, but this was so good that I didn't even mind it. Definitely not what I expected, and it was probably one of my favorite little surprises of the visit. I didn't take a ton of pictures this time, but I'll share the few that I did get. So far, Boil Seafood House has been a winner for us, and since we've enjoyed every visit, We'll be back again for another seafood boil!

But the star of the show for me was the lobster boil with Caribbean seasoning medium. The combination of flavors was absolutely perfect, with just the right amount of spice and seasoning! Our server, Christopher, was very attentive, suggested wine pairings, and gave us great recommendations. We started with the charbroiled oysters which is a must. They were large and charred to perfection on the outside grill, topped with parm and breadcrumbs. My friends ordered the filet and the gulf fish, and I had the charred cabbage entree, with a French gerwurztraminer blend. The mushrooms with the blue cheese sauce were so rich and delicious! Sweet treats were a no brainer. The blue cheese flan was creamy and decadent. A perfect ending to the meal. This is so far my fave restaurant in New Orleans. And yet again, I am so thankful for Yelp steering me in the right direction yet again! A short Uber from the French Quarter brought us to what I believe is such a special hidden gem! The moment you step into Atchafalaya, you realize it. Ambience is amazing, quirky, cool, homey and cozy. Staff is amazing. We sat in our own private room and were treated to a very special delight of a dinner. I tried the incredible fried green tomatoes, the seafood soup (?) and the incredible steak...wow, everything was amazing. And not only did Chef Christopher Lynch come out to say hello to my Autistic son but the owner Tony Tocco did as well and it made his day! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I can tell you that I doubt it takes me more than 40 days to make my 2nd trip. I love this place! Frankie and Johnny's has a typical Nola neighborhood restaurant feel with a little dive bar quality sprinkled in. I got a Jucifer Hazy IPA to start, and they probably have 8 or so beers on tap with even more in bottles and cans. They also have a full bar. I ordered a Ferdi (half ham, half roast beef) and a cup of gumbo. The chicken and sausage gumbo was delicious! The roux was dark, the seasoning was perfect and the temperature was piping hot. The Ferdi was equally delish. The bread came out crisp as it was put in the oven for the cheese to melt. Perfect. The meal was so simple but amazing. I will definitely be back to explore more of the menu, but it will be hard not to get the Ferdi and gumbo again.

It was super close to where we were staying, and since I didn't catch a seafood boil in the Quarter or anywhere else in town, I had to try this spot. My friend and I had our eyes on it, but once our Uber driver confirmed it was a bomb spot, we were all in and it did not disappoint. I even met a lady who drives 45 minutes just to get here, so if she makes that trek, you know this is the spot. I will be dreaming of this place! Being takeout-only gave it that authentic, local vibe, and I loved every bite. Unlike the typical mixed seafood boils, they bag everything separately, and I mixed it all together once I got back to my place. They have some garlic butter you can add, and I got it spicy! It definitely had a kick, and I loved it. I had a pound of shrimp, added sausage, two boiled eggs, the BOMBEST potatoes and corn, all tossed with the spicy garlic butter and I devoured it. Let me just brag on that shrimp and those potatoes for a second: both were amazing. The potatoes were cooked to perfection! Soft, not mushy, and seasoned just right. And the shrimp? Wow. I can still taste it. If you're in NOLA, you have to check this spot out! I will say one more thing though I wish I had room to try the gumbo! I would have loved to taste it here. Lastly, I didn't get to grab a po' boy in town, so we came back the next morning to try one. Sadly, the seafood section wasn't ready yet (we went around 10:30am), but the roast beef po' boy with gravy, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and maybe few other ingredients in it was incredible. I loved it! You'll definitely catch me here again next time I'm in town. 10,000/10. Thank you, cooks! A few practical things: if you're driving, there's parking. The service was friendly, prices were great, and while there isn't indoor seating, the waiting area is decent-sized. Just know it can get busy!
