Been driving by this food truck for a month. TODAY, was the day we tried the food. I got the Pork barbecue Banh mi and my husband got the beef. Both were good but the pork was better, an explosion in your mouth, so tasty! Also had an order of egg rolls, would pass on next time and had a Vietnamese ice coffee which was outstanding (I don't drink coffee).

A place I like to eat yummy food. Close up of the Vietnamese sandwich.yum.

I like Vietnamese food, and a very friendly man and woman took my order and talked with me. The food was super yummy..I even asked for added veggies on my sandwich and some extra cilantro. Also had egg rolls. The weather was very nice, warmish spring day.. for those who like poetry.. As I sit and feel Cool ocean breeze Against my skin, I spy in tall dune grass, Something yummy to eat. Helping me to enjoy some time off In a place that I like very much.

I looove their bbq vermicelli. Hands down one of the best in Oregon. Their meat pastries are awesome too.

What a great little spot for food trucks. There are three options available. One is a bbq truck, another is a Thai truck, and the one I chose was the Vietnamese truck. Astoria Banh Mi, to be precise. There are plenty of food options, so I went with the Pork Banh Mi. Let me tell you, it was a fantastic choice. The portion was substantial, I definitely didn't walk away hungry! The flavor was divine. I'm not that well versed with Vietnamese food, minus pho....I love pho! But I haven't really stretched my palate further than that. I'm so glad I tried the Banh Mi, the flavors exploded on my tastebuds. From the pork to the cilantro, to the egg butter to the fresh carrots, cukes and daikon to the crusty soft bread. So very flavorful, it was a tastebud delight. You won't be disappointed. We also got some egg rolls and a little bbq pork pie. Both were yummy! The pork pie was a flaky, pastry dough stuffed with yummy bbq pork. Two thumbs up! The man taking my order was pleasant and friendly. If you're wondering what to eat, I would encourage you to come check Astoria Banh Mi out! Good stuff!

I had the BBQ banh mi. Overall, the taste was good. The vegetables seemed fresh, but he meat seemed old and fatty.

Positives: -their prices were very good and reasonable. -you get a lot of food, great bang for your buck. It was much appreciated especially coming from California where everything still costs an arm and a leg. It's so bad in California that I would have to share with my wife when we go out to try and save money. Sure we can stay home, but we're on vacation and I want to give her a good time. In California I would have to decide between filling up my tank or going out to eat ‍ -we got the BBQ mix plate which had short ribs, teriyaki chicken, and bbq beef. Everything tasted great, I loved how the chicken wasn't too sweet. My wife loved the galbi, that's saying a lot because she's very picky with her galbi. It was just the right amount of savory and had just the right amount of fat. We also got the poke bowl, the fish wasn't too sweet very good and tasted fresh. -service was quick and friendly Ambiance: Note that this is a food truck though they gave a small covered area for rainy days and if you want to eat your food right away. It's that food. Overall 5/5 We didn't expect to find such good Hawaiian food in Astoria, can't wait to come back.

It's on property at a Shell gas station with a convenience store and Growler Guys branch. There is enough strategic parking spots for quick pick up and go. The ambiance of this spot is that there is ample outdoor seating for those brave enough to handle the weather, with most of them covered for rain protection. The service was authentic Hawaiian Style customer service. It always starts off " Whoa, what part you from"... And the conversation could go on for hours without even talking about food. Owner is from Wahiawa (Island of Oahu), his cousin helping him cook is from Waiahole (Oahu) and the daughter of the owner was taking the orders up front. The first test of any Hawaiian Comfort Food eatery is the weight of the take out container. If you need two hands to carry the package, then your in for a treat. The BBQ mix plate was on-point. The Teri-Beef had the right amount of sweetness and juicyness making it a must try for any first timer trying Hawaiian comfort food or former Kamaaina, craving for Island grinds. When people travel along the Oregon Coast, Fish & Chips or seafood is always on top of the eating bucket list. However, you may want to add Tuimato's to that bucket list, for belly satisfaction and enjoying a little bit of Hawaiian Style hospitality.

That said, I've eaten it ordered from ladies squatting next to rocket stoves on the street...and I want my Thai properly spiced, like my eyelids oughta sweat. American Thai food is adjusted to our tastebuds. So, I typically get it as hot as I can, and add my own chili dust. Folks, I have met my new go-to Thai! They offer spice levels one through five. I ordered it a six. The server told me she could adjust it up to a nine spice level, if I needed that. Um, no ma'am! Six is delightful! Phad Thai tends to accentuate the savory and sweet in most presentations. Not so, this savory, crunchy, tart, and fiery masterclass in Thai noodles! It was incredible. I cannot wait to go back and put myself at the mercy of their amazing presentations of what many will visually recognize as "Thai"......but your tastebuds are in for a treat! This is a destination food truck, people! Wow. I decided, on the strength of the Phad Thai, I should taste the Thom Kha Gai I ordered before I chilled it for my intended lunch tomorrow...... Yeah, so Dee Dee has spice DOWN! Her food also has the delightful flavor layering I love most in really good SE Asian food. The mushrooms in the soup? Buttery, and perfectly cooked. A delightful springiness. The tomatoes are bright and soft. The onions still have body, and onion flavor........and there's a lot of lemongrass and galangal floating around in there! Like the other entree, the Thom Kha is super special. I'm so glad this is a local option for me......my belly has a delightful burn, my lips are only slightly numb, and I'm really content with my Thai tea and mango juice. Love this place already.

It reminded me of two Italian spots in Seattle's Pioneer Square. Very popular since most of the onsite seating were occupied (6/20/25). No surprise after glancing at their menu, easily I could gravitate towards several of their sandwiches. Lots of merch and deli items are also available to select from. I ended up ordering a half pound of proscuitto (0.52 lb for $17.67). This was carefully sliced thin, packaged, and wrapped carefully, which was duly noted and greatly appreciated. We paused at window counter seats and had to sample the purchase before departing. Absolutely delicious! Helped elevate a meal the next day too. I may have to return to indulge in one of their Italian sandwiches. Update: we did return to dine onsite at the same window counter seats (6/22/25). The Homie had the Hot Meatball ($14). Meaty with zesty sauce. I had the Salami Panini ($12), which reminded me of a fave Italian panini at Irwin's Bakery & Cafe in Seattle. Both were fantastic, hit the spot, clean plate club worthy, and definitely no takeout boxes needed! Gaetano's Market & Deli, a terrific find in Astoria!
