The Net Result came highly recommended for a tasty lobster roll. It was a little busy when we arrived but service was fast. Inside there is a fresh seafood market, freshly made sushi and a counter to order hot food - including burgers, fish and chips, etc. There is a cooler with drinks, ToGo food, fresh sushi desserts and other goodies. You can get a sautéed lobster roll (hot) or a chilled regular lobster roll (mayo based). I went with the sautéed version along with a cup of clam chowder. Others in my party ordered fried oysters, and fried shrimp. My lobster roll was good but the bread was a bit dry. Not sure if it was coated with butter (if so, it was a little dry but not a deal breaker.) The roll was packed with meat and was filling. The clam chowder was filled with lots of actual clams. Visiting family on the island and decided to try The Net Result restaurant. We placed our order and waited for them to call our number. As a deaf individual I have to rely on others in situations where I can't hear a number being called. It would be nice if they had an electronic sign with the number displayed. We ate our food outdoors on the tables they provided. I was very disappointed with the coleslaw which I discarded. The scallops and shrimp were excellent. I would have not ordered the fries if there was so many or an alternative option. The platter portions need to be shown more clearly for new customers. Overall the food was good. read more

The food is quite good and worth a stop (the sushi is meh/bland, but the poke bowls, raw bar, chowder, and fried foods are quite good). The service/process is the real problem with this place. There often is a long wait after ordering, which is to be expected at times. But good luck trying to get someone's attention at the to-go window (note: everything is to-go) if you are trying to check on the status of an order placed long ago. And be aware that if you place your order online they don't even announce when your order is ready (you have to ask at the window for your order, which runs into the same problem discussed above). Fresh seafood here! Pricey for a take out only place. There is some outdoor seating. We got fried scallops, fried belly clams, clam chowder, crab cake sandwich, and a sautéed lobster roll. The fried scallops were fresh! We opened it to eat within minutes but they were already soggy. I think they need to pat dry them out a bit more before frying them. Lightly seasoned. The clams were much better. Whole belly with lots of flavor. The tartar sauce was used for both of them. The sauce was amazing! The clam chowder looked watery upon opening it but it was thicker than expected. Flavorful and full of clams! Stuck my spoon in there and whoa lots of potatoes and clams at the bottom chilling. People only seem to come here to socialize. Not for the food itself. I'm glad I got a chance to go to Cape Cod, but the fish & chips I got were the worst/driest I've ever tasted. Good thing I didn't splurge on something pricier like the sushi. If you're from the area with a craving for fish sticks, then you're better off just buying their $0.35 fish sticks they have frozen in the fridges close to the entrance. There's seating outside and our food took about 20 minutes to arrive. Lots of families with kids. It's kind of like a deli when you walk in and the seating is only outside at shared picnic tables. Staff was nice and my food came out pretty fast. Overall, the selection of seafood forward options is fantastic. Went back for the 2nd time a few days ago and I must admit that the only thing preventing this place from getting 5 Stars is the fact that the cheese on the tuna melt isn't actually melted! The Net Result was a good place for us to grab lunch after getting off the ferry in Vineyard Haven. They are walking distance from the ferry. They are a fish market and they also have a small restaurant with outdoor seating on picnic tables. They were a busy place as we arrived just before noon. You order inside, when your order is ready, they open the window to call out your number and give you your food. We ordered a snack of fried clam belly roll and a crabcake. The clam belly roll was full of perfectly fried clams. It was large enough for my wife and I to share. I liked it. The crabcake was okay, I've had better. Down the tubes. I am not sure what happened to the Net Result fast food side, but it's not good. Over the last year we have gravitated to Sandy's during the summer. I did not take note but I was happy because the food seem to be going downhill at the Net Result. Today I spent $38 on a fried clam plate which is about average. I sent the picture of it to my family and to read immediately received responses that included a litany of other places that are way better. That is not the response I was hoping for, I was hoping to cheese them and make them jealous. Even worse the fried clams are greasy and tasteless. Well, the only taste is grease in fact this so greasy I think I'm gonna chuck the entire plate and go get something else to eat elsewhere. That is not something I normally do with a $38 plate but I can tell I was going to do is make me sick . The french fries have always been subpar. This is the last time I'll be coming to the net result for a while they getting a two star because they clam chowder is actually good. I wish I ordered that. read more

Almost a repeat experience of last year except without the poke bowl. It was a beautiful evening to be outside, and we were happy to be back. Our daughter got the fish-and-chips again--it's still very good. Fries are perfect, but the fish needed more salt. The two of us shared a cold lobster roll which felt like it came out with way less meat this year unfortunately. We also opted for the sushi "tuna pack" and we do have to say that it tasted fresh as hell. Really good. We also tried the edamame salad for the first time, which was nothing special but nice to have an option for some veggies. The staff is still quite brusque here, so customer service is still not a priority. This was really more of a 3.5 experience because service isn't great and they annoyingly have no booze, but we're choosing to round up this time around since the seafood aspect is still a winner. I have been going to The Net Result since I was little and it is always yummy. For me, it is an Island staple. I love the chicken tenders, they are so nostalgic. Their fries are also so so good (maybe they're battered? something makes them extra crispy). I will say, the food is nothing special, but the environment and vibe is what makes the experience really wonderful. We've been sailing the northeast on our boat all summer and this was sadly the most underwhelming food we've had. The lobster roll was the smallest one we've gotten, and the lobster was tough. Our recent experience was very disappointing. the three in our party ordered at the takeout window -- me, a "soft-shell crab roll" ($16.95) that ended up being 2 full-size crabs -- (shell, legs & all) fried-up and stuck between the roll -- absolutely NOT what I was expecting; it was awful! I presumed it would be 100% crab-meat in the form of a crab-cake or crab-salad form. My bad. If I had been warned what the sandwich contained I wouldn't have ordered it. One of my partners ordered "clam strips" which they said were "soggy and tasteless". My other partner ordered a veggie/garden burger and ironically reported it was sufficient; as the old saying goes, "two out of three ain't bad"; in this case only one of three was. I had lunch there on 8/2 and was excited to see they had hotdogs on the menu (love a good dog)! Wasn't super excited about the $9.00 price point, but I love a good hotdog so what the heck! The bun was overbearing for the short, thin dog. You don't buy a hotdog for the bun and that seems to be main focus. Be prepared for a long wait even after you place the order. We got the fried oysters, clams, and shrimps as well as the stuffed quahog. All were good but the shrimp tasted like it was slightly spoiled. My girlfriend didn't really taste it in that way, but it seemed like it wasn't fresh to me. Visited Martha's Vineyard for the first time in a while and stumbled upon this place. For the island, this was the cheapest you'll get for seafood that I could find! The food was good and it was served nice and hot. I got the fish and chips which were tasty; the seafood was pretty good quality. I also really liked their coleslaw and I'm not the biggest fan of coleslaw! It wasn't too wet or drippy and mayonnaise was not overpowering. You could tell it was made in-house alongside the tartar sauce. I really appreciated how they gave us multiple containers of tartar sauce. The tartar sauce was tasty as well. I got a crab cake as an appetizer and it was just okay. It was fresh and you could see bits of real crab, but it was on the thinner end and was missing the crunch/crispy factor I was looking for. I thought it was interesting there was sushi there, but I guess it's probably really fresh. The Net Result was tasty and is near where the ferry drops you off so it's a really walkable distance. I liked how there was outdoor seating as well (no indoor seating, which is ok). Service was good and we got our food quickly. Their lobster rolls are to die for. Seriously so amazing. Instead of mayo they use hot butter and I wish I could order one every night of the week because I totally would. They give you a massive amount of lobster on the roll; it's almost too big to eat! Besides that, their other seafood is really good as well. It all tastes fresh and their food is never overly greasy. You can get steamers at a bunch of restaurants now and they are CLEANED and served with white wine. the stuffed quahog was pretty good. Sizable with good bits of meat in it. Highlight of our MV trip! Delicious, remarkably fresh seafood for relatively cheap. We came here twice, it was so good. The calamari was possibly the best I've ever had--perfectly fried to a crisp while the calamari was tender and fresh. (Just wish they'd serve tartar sauce with it.) The steamers were INCREDIBLE. They were surprisingly sweet, and had been steamed for the perfect length of time--meaty but not overcooked. Dipping them in butter was like heaven. The fish without chips we could've skipped, but the fried oysters and scallops were also a delight. My friends who ordered the soft shell crab sandwich, which was a special, absolutely loved it. The bisque and chowder are also good. Their lobster roll is pretty good though not standout. We also ordered some salmon, sole, and steamers at their fish market--also super delicious and fresh! Definitely one of the cheaper options in Martha's Vineyard if you can believe it! Got lobster roll and clam chowder. The lobster roll was filled to the rim of the bun with lobster! Everything was fresh and delicious and it's conveniently located less than a 5 min walk from the port! Order inside and picked up outside through a pick-up window. Parking may be slim during the peak months. Only down side is they have one unisex bathroom, but it's a small place, I'm sure rent per square footage around here is through the roof.
