this place is absolutely incredible if you're looking for a romantic date spot to take your person. it's very dim inside and primarily lit by candles, and sets the mood, along with a frank sinatra kind of singer who sits in the corner serenading everyone the whole meal and the great thing is that it's not too loud and it's very warm and welcoming. parking was really chill but primarily valet so i would bring some cash for that. the food is amazing we got the shrimp scampi and the meatballs to start and the scampi had the perfect bite of heat and the red sauce on the meatballs is just sweet enough to cut through the acidity of the tomato we got the rigatoni bolognese and the cacio pepe for the entres and the pasta you could tell was made to order and in house - the bolognese was exploding with flavor and the cacio pepe had just enough black pepper and was not overwhelming the desert we had the chocolate chip bread pudding, the mascarpone on top was delicate and the bread pudding was not too heavy like it tends to be - absolutely insane i would give this place more than 5 stars if i could and will forsure be coming back read more

This is my favorite place in the area by far. Fabulous atmosphere, service, and food. We sat at the bar around 8 on a Saturday and got there right before it got busy. The bartenders were super personable and fun to chat with. Our main person was Joseph, he made the whole experience perfect. The food and the drinks were also stellar. I was skeptical just like everyone else of this place. Reviews weren't great but was interested to see why celebs kept coming back. I made a reservation for a friend's birthday probably a month in advance. Day of the reservation, you'll receive a text to confirm your reservation for the day. When we got there, we were terribly late (over an hour) due to car issues. We tried calling and even contacting them on social media to let them know we will be late but don't even try. They never answer the phones, which is ridiculous. However, when we got there, the restaurant was empty and they gave us no issues and seated us. So if you ever wanted to walk-in, as long as you're there rather early (6-7pm) you'll be fine. Once we got seated, we ordered some cocktails. Their drinks are pricey but quite good. (Tbh their saving grace) Service was good, extremely attentive. For starters, we got the cheesy garlic bread. They used some kind of whole wheat bread. It was decent. Marinara sauce was good. As for entrees, we got the few of the pastas and a salmon. Honestly, the food was OK, but for the price, I expected heaven in my mouth. But it wasn't heaven. It felt amateur-ish. I had the squid ink campanelle, and the mussels was grainy and the garlic was quite raw. All in all, it was alright. If you decide to go, just know that you'll be paying more than it's worth just to maybe see someone famous. read more

Great lowkey spot for dates and celebrations. Usually live DJ on weekends so expect a noisier vibe. Parking is $15 valet or street parking (very tight). Our reservation was for 9:30 and we were waited over 45 minutes until they found / cleaned up a table for our party. This was the second time we had come here and had to wait over 30 minutes after our posted reservation time, but hanging around at the bar and the drinks made up for it. Drinks: foggy memory & head huncho are my favorites. Both light and not overpowered with taste or alcohol. Spicy Silina was also great but incredibly spicy for my taste. Food: meatballs, any pizza & spicy rigatoni are pretty good dishes. Pizza is on the thinner side and crispier crust which I prefer, but pasta was cooked a little less than Al dente. Feel like it doesn't compare with other restaurants dishes, but you're getting the vibes and atmosphere which are fantastic. read more

My companion has a lot of dietary restrictions and the server was extremely kind and patient with checking on the make up of dishes she wasn't sure about and recommending others so we could have a good experience. My order got messed up (lobster pasta that somehow didnt have any lobster in it) but they more than made it up to me and were very apologetic. Mistakes happen. The food was good and came out quick. We definitely want to go back. Let me preface this with, the restaurant has very low lighting. If you get over me that, you're set. I'm also surprised many many of the other reviews. The food was so good. We (3 of us) had rib eye, a pasta dish and chicken parm, on top of a few apps and a salad. It was all outstanding. Two of those main dishes were recommended by our server and she was spot on. Drinks were on point as well. There was live music, which was not too loud, and was high quality. So talking during our meal was easy and we also had great tunes in the background. Overall a great meal and experience. I definitely recommend coming here. I thought it was a mistake when our bill had an extra line for "martini" under my $20 drinks, but our server claimed it was a Los Angeles law that they had to charge $6 extra for any drink that's ordered as a martini. As an LA native who has ordered many a dirty kettle martini, I have never heard of this so-called law (and neither has google). Super weird way to charge extra, but moving on to the food: calamari and chop salad were good, bolognese pasta tasted like a microwaved frozen dish. No complaints there lol For an appetizer we ordered the cheesy garlic bread and truffle fries. The cheesy bread was to die for. I could have eaten 9 pieces, but It comes with about 5-6 slices. Comes with a marinara type sauce for dipping. For the main course I ordered this mushroom pasta that was one of the most impressive, savory pasta dishes I've ever had. I don't believe it's a regular menu item because our waiter told us about It as a special. But wow it's a must try If you love mushrooms and decadence. Even topped with an egg!? We had a drink at the bar, it was lovely, then were seated at the weirdest table-facing a post and right next to the busy bar. We asked to be reseated because again, we were celebrating something special, we were in the crossfire of people sitting at the bar and the seating behind us, AND we were FACING A POLE LOL. They didn't reseat us. Service was slow and horrible, we asked for our dessert to go, it came plated to enjoy at our table and we had to ask for it to get boxed up. We ordered MILK AND COOKIES. Charged for MILK AND COOKIES. We look in the to go bag and there's only cookies. I asked for the milk, server said they don't have to go cups for the milk. Why did you charge me for milk then? Was also charged an "entertainment fee" that no one told us about prior. I'm not cheap but the service was disgusting and I hate not getting what I paid for. Don't get me started on the bathroom. Your not allowed to take any photos not of yourself or your food and to be specific with the flash on but if you've been you KNOW you need the flash to see anything because it's extremely dark inside, they make you use their Photo Booth which is free but still! And most of the dinner options don't come with sides when apparently they used to! Perfect romantic date spot!! Although I came with a group of girlfriends I highly recommend this for a date night. It's very small and intimate. The decor is gorgeous! Live music starts later in the night. There's no photos allowed which I loved because it forced people to stay off their phones. We got the garlic cheese bread, which was to die for. Noteworthy, the only people who actually eat here are newbies/tourist types who want to see celebrities. The rest are musicians or models who are rail thin. Met my musician friend here for a signature pear martini, which was very nice. The space is not as spacious, has few small dining tables and a couple of sofas and a long bar. Simple stylish decor, chill and cool ambiance. Buddha bar music background. At the bar we're some familiar faces, also in the music biz as well as many scantily clad, spackled makeup, desperate looking girls, eager to Star mingle. Because of the celebrities that frequent this place, you must have a reservation and absolutely NO Photos. Like most places in BH and West Hollywood, no photos is an unwritten rule, which I prefer. Glad to meet up and see my dear friend. After concluding my meeting, I had to make a mad exit as I was famished. Also important to note, this place is a tad small and will not help if you feel anxiety from claustrophobia, which contributed to my mad dash out of there... Probably not my choice for dining.
