This restaurant is dreamy, the ambiance is just everything you need or a perfect date night or in my case to bring in my birthday month! Everyone was so friendly Demi helped me set up my reservation and accommodated me when I was running a little late due to traffic. Juan Carlos who was our first waited was so welcoming and helped us pick our drinks and dishes, Britney took over when his shift was over and little did I know she also shared my birthday month. I really recommend the espresso martini with tequila instead of vodka (thank me later. For our starters we had the Golden Crunch Calamari, which comes with your choice of dipping sauce we went with lime aioli which really complimented the dish. Then we moved onto the Ave Caesar the croutons are so crispy and. crunchy, just an overall must have. For our main dish The Pacific Kiss Per Due it is not only tasty but beautiful the prawns are huge ( go with the fresh graded parm ). We were comped the beautiful tiramisu dessert. (THANK YOU! ) I love tiramisu is usually my go to and this one doesn't disapoint. Overall this place is perfect for social media pictures. Clean, modern with a touch of old money aesthetic. Had dinner recently at Viva La Mama and overall it was a mixed experience. The hostess was genuinely warm and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right away. She left a great impression. Service though was a bit slow, even though the dining room was pretty empty when we arrived since this was a random weekday dinner, we had to flag down our waiter a few times to ask for basics. If the place was busy, it would make complete sense but there were only 2-3 other tables with guests Food-wise, the pasta texture stood out in a good way. We really liked the truffle pasta especially. However we added chicken to the dish wish we had one bite of and couldn't eat unfortunately. It was on the cold side and tasted like it wasn't seasoned even though it had the truffle sauce on top.... The Ragu had a bit of an odd flavor note for us. We added the meatballs to the dish and it definitely helped, but the meatballs were cold too. The sauce for the regular was amazing though. The garlic bread focaccia was nothing special. I'd probably skip it and get something else. We also got the Caesar salad which which a pretty large plate. Also average. I do wish the dressing had more of the anchovies flavor but I think its still worth getting. We also got the Some Like it Hot pizza. I think they nailed the thin crust and their cheese was that perfect pull cheese and tasted great. Feels like they might still be working out the kinks since they haven't been open for thaaattt long, but the atmosphere and decor is nice and it has potential. I'd say it's worth trying again down the line. P.S. parking is annoying. It's either valet or reading street signs that are so complicated it's like solving a math problem just to figure out whether you can park there or not so plan ahead read more

Wow the vibe and the stylish interior here is just phenomenal! Came here on a late weekday evening to fill my pizza cravings with my s/o. And once we ordered it was maybe around 15 minutes that we got our food order, it came all at once piping hot. The food here gave me a slice of Italy nostalgia that was enough to bring me back to the good times there. I recommend: - queen margherita - great for 2 person! I love how fluffy the edges and taste the cheese and tomato! the cheese didn't trigger my lactose. 100% fulfilled my pizza cravings. - carpaccio per due - very thinly sliced beef with argula, pine nut, tomato and salsa di latte. the meat here was more thinnly sliced than i expected so it was a bit of a challenge to grab all the ingredients - Ragu della mamma - slow cooked beef ragu, a family recipe with red wine and plenty of parmesan. this is probably our absolute favorite dish of the night! it came in a heart-shape pot and they let you decide how much parmesan to add on top. It came together so perfectly, I swear I almost got lost in the taste. Never went for pasta refills so fast. - drinks - limoncello - perfect after all the food we ate! It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and the service was absolutely spectacular. It was honestly one of the best restaurant experiences I've had. I especially want to highlight Chef Matthew. The flavor and seasoning he brings to his pizzas really stand out. I had the chance to talk with him for a bit, and you can genuinely tell how much he loves what he does. Viva La Mamma came up for me on Instagram recently and I knew immediately that I had to go. I booked a dinner reservation for last week and enjoyed one of the best meals I've had in months! I came in with my mom and one of our good friends and we were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in the door. We shared multiple items on the menu, including the Summer Romance Salad, Queen Margherita pizza, Ragu Della Mamma, and the Foccacia Della Mamma. Everything was absolutely delicious! The focaccia was so good that we devoured it in seconds, got a second order, and promptly devoured that too. The pasta was presented in a Dutch oven and was steaming hot and perfectly al dente. We were also celebrating my mom's birthday, and they surprised her with tiramisu -- and it was, quite frankly, the best tiramisu I've EVER had. So flavorful, sweet, and delicious! I also love the menus, which are designed to look like record covers. Such a fun and unique touch! This is such a new gem on West 3rd. I know the space has been home to other Italian restaurants in the past that haven't lasted, but I truly hope this one does because it's absolutely worth every penny. Food was good, ambiance and vibes are cute. It kinda reminded us of a restaurant in Vegas with decor. Service was quite slow but know it was their opening night so think they'll get better. We celebrated our mom's 65th birthday here on a Tuesday night and we had such a blast. Since it wasn't anywhere near the weekend, it wasn't very busy when we came. The restaurant itself is pretty vibey and every spot is a good place to take cute pictures for your socials. I had high hopes for this west 3rd street Italian. It's housed (and thankfully preserved) in the same airy space as the original AOC with its long, beautiful bar. The place was packed with a lively crowd. The food, however, was a bit disappointing. I'm not one to post a bad review -- and won't go into the details here -- but wanted to provide this feedback for the kitchen just in case something was off that night. Everything started off great. We were treated extremely well by the hostess, who was amazing! Unfortunately, our experience went downhill from there. From the start, our server did not have a good attitude and seemed bothered to be serving us. The pizza was disappointing, although the truffle fries were delicious. What really put a damper on our dinner was the service. At one point, our server dropped a knife on my arm, which then landed in my lap and got my pants dirty. His only response was, "Sorry about that. Did I get you?" I was surprised by how casually and unprofessional the situation was handled. Absolutely my new favorite restaurant! Randomly saw and decided to stop in for dinner! My boyfriend and I chose this place for date night and boy did it not disappoint. What a great Yelp find! It's rare to come across a spot where the service, ambiance, and food all hit a solid 10. The attention to detail was impressive--from the vinyl record-style menus to the magazine-inspired cocktail list. Some might call it kitschy, but honestly, the presentation felt thoughtful and on point. After seeing their Instagram, we probably should have tried the pizza, but the homemade bolognese was so comforting--it genuinely reminded me of my mom's cooking. The playlist throughout the night was also a highlight and really elevated the whole experience. We went on a Wednesday around 5:30 and walked right in with no reservation, which was a win. Scarlette our server was very attentive, kind, and good at her job. No job is too little for anyone the GM Sonny kept checking on us. Bus staff all professional attentive and caring! Again no job is too little for anyone here. The quality of the service and the quality of the food 10000/10. I rarely eat out of my traditional places and this experience transported me somewhere else. The ambiance is a delight and chic. It gives aesthetics without the influencers. A hidden gem! We had salad, pasta, and pizza! None of it disappointed! They have only been open since March! This is a hidden gem that is bound to blow up. I'm glad that I was able to try it. I felt compelled to write this review after my positive experience and after seeing someone - who must have been dining near me at the same time - left a 2 star review, which is absolutely insane. Came in randomly for a late dinner at almost 10pm. Ambience and vibes were immaculate - tons of cute detail. Hostess was super friendly and welcoming. Everything we had was great (ragu pasta, some like it hot pizza, and ricotta tarte). The pizza is not well-done/crispy, it's a great tasting dough/crust and more flop - but I'm sure they would cook it longer if that's your thing. My husband said he would probably ask next time for it to be a bit more well-done. My tequila gimlet martini was one of the best I've had. Considering this place opened less than a month ago, I was impressed. Typically in the first few months, you see a restaurant work out the kinks but they were few and far between. My feedback notes: the food was super quick but the drinks took a while - we had both dishes before we had the drinks. When I looked over I saw the bartenders were kind of chilling and laughing with one another, so that could be improved. I think we also came in late and they had cut the other servers because our waitress looked like she had all the tables and thus, there were some service delays but nothing I would consider "bad service". Such a beautiful restaurant, yet the food was such a let down. Calamari portion is ridiculously small & was crumbling falling apart. Lost in Italy drink was missing something... maybe its just not for me although the description sounded really good. Meatballs were super tightly rolled they were tough to eat. Focaccia is very different from traditional, more like pizza bread , tasted really good. BROCCOLICIOUS was far from delicious, tasted like steamed broccoli tossed in pasta. I asked for salt and lemon because we were trying to fix the flavor but it really didn't help. no pesto or gremolate notes RAGÙ DELLA MAMMA was good, my husband ordered it and he enjoyed it. Service was ok, if the waiter didn't take so long to check in I would have ordered something else but she didn't check in until the end just to drop off the dessert menu, so i didn't get the chance to order something different. Viva La Mamma is a great new spot that's definitely worth checking out. The truffle pasta was incredible. The fresh pasta had a perfect texture and you could really tell the difference. The Some Like It Hot pizza was another highlight some of the best Neapolitan I've had in outside of Italy. The ambiance is classy and the bar is beautiful with extensive drink menu. The staff was a little unorganized, which is understandable for a new restaurant, but everyone was very friendly. First time here! Got the Cloud N5 cocktail and it was delicious! The tomato garnish with basil was chefs kiss. Brett was our bartender and we really enjoyed his clear passion for the specialty cocktails. The entire aesthetic of this spot is adorable and quirky from the mugs of popcorn to the fun vinyl menus! I had such a great experience dining here, and a big part of that was thanks to our incredible waiter, Austin. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. He took the time to walk us through the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal. Came in for a quick drink at Viva La Mamma and ended up staying way longer than planned. The vibe is so good--warm and little elevated without being pretentious. Food is solid. I had the Sweet But Psycho pizza and the calamari. LOVED the pizza. I want to try the pastas next. Drinks are on point, Brett behind the bar recommended a Nebbiolo and a fantastic gin cocktail. I walked by the restaurant several times before it opened and loved watching its mural come together, made a note to myself to get out there and try it at some point soon, and finally got some friends together and went last night! The thing that impressed our group the most was the attention to detail that was put into curating the atmosphere -- a menu designed like the liner notes of a record with a "vinyl" inside, a drink menu designed to look like a fashion magazine, plush seating, romantic lighting throughout, etc. We tried a lot of the food! Highlights were: the focaccia (with garlic), stracciella (I hope I spelled that right lol), the "some like it hot" pizza (my favorite from the night), the ragu, and the squid ink pasta! One of my partner's favorite meals of his entire life was a squid ink pasta he had in Venice on a family vacation over a decade ago, and he said that this one was the closest he's had to it. Other reviews mention service being slow, but that didn't feel like the case at all for our group. Our server, Brittany, was attentive and thoughtful, and it felt as though we were not rushed and able to have a relaxing evening eating and catching up together as a group! read more

The restaurant being fairly new we were one of three tables seated in the whole place. I was underwhelmed by the food. We ordered a salad and there was barely any salad in the bowl, and a few of the ingredients were missing. All the drinks and food was just average to mediocre.
