We came twice during hours posted on the front of the restaurant, but they were closed both times. The first time the place was completely dark before 10 even though the sign said they closed at 11. The second time we were turned away at 930 by the manager even after calling first to make sure they would be open for their posted hours and the bartender tried to serve us. When we asked the bartender why the hours were not correct or even consistent, he simply smiled and shrugged, im guessing he'd like to know too. After finally making it when they were open, we could not have been more disappointed. We had been given two bartender recommendations by friends, both bartenders were no longer working there (not a good sign as the recommendations were stellar). We sat down for a drink anyways. The glass of wine I got was beyond undrinkable due to oxidation. The bartender replaced it but sadly it still wasn't nearly worth the $14, I found out after our meal that I was actually served a different wine than was listed. I guess they ran out, substituted something far inferior, and did not even mention it. It wasn't until I caught them pouring an entirely different brand that they admitted the mistake and took it off the bill. Pretty shameful. If that wasn't bad enough, there were three more errors on our bill, we were charged full price for happy hour items and one item on our bill was not even ours. Our server Christy was very flustered, frazzled, and I guess she was the manager as well? Could barely handle her tables let anyone manage anyone else. Our second round of drinks took so long we finished our meals and ended up canceling them. I'm really not sure what the hold up was, we ordered beer and there were two guys bartending for a mostly empty restaurant. We definitely won't be back. Very sad to see a new business continue to struggle so much while it's so new! From what I could tell management is the issue. A man saying he was also the manager came to check on us and apologize, which was nice but fixed nothing. The beer was really good. Might buy a keg for our next party but I won't be trying the restaurant again. Also just wanted to note that the place was not up to standards cleanliness wise. The bathrooms were pretty bad, tell them know the to was out when I first came in, it was still out two hours later when we left. read more

Great place to go. We made reservations and service to get seated was slow but when meeting the host we were instantly happy. Young gentleman spoke to us as we were seated and gave recommendations fitting for us. We ordered two appetizers. Chicken wings came with 6, we did buffalo and bbq. They were ok. Not fantastic but decent. The Brussel sprouts were great! I ordered something u didn't care for but everyone else's food was amazing. Two kids menu items and the brewmasters burger. I was in a hurry and so stopped into Noble Fox because it was close to my lodgings. The hot honey pepperoni pizza was one of the BEST pizzas I've ever had. I usually don't like that much crust but the hot honey (whatever it is) really gave the pizza a unique sweet (not spicy) taste. A wonderful surprise. read more

Our first time in Ashland and this place was such a hit for vegans, GF sensitivities and non vegans in our group!! Basically, anyone with food allergies (or not)- come here. We went twice in our 3 day stay here. I'm the vegan, and tried both the Buddha Bowl with Plant based chicken- so good and filling, and the next night we had the noble marg pizza & subbed vegan cheese- It sounds like they use Numu vegan cheese and it was amazing!!!!!!! They even offer Follow your Heart vegan parm to add on top- such a treat! Our GF member also got the Buddha Bowl with Salmon & our other guests got the Crispy Chicken sandwich & fish and chips which they thoroughly enjoyed too. Drinks were good & service was even better. I wish we caught her name- brunette & used to be vegan- she was phenomenal & remembered what we had ordered for drinks the night before. We'll be back! read more

We ate in the brewers nook for dinner and earlier in the week on the back patio for happy hour. The brewers nook is a small room just large enough for a large dining table and music player. It feels cut off from the restaurant, which is good or bad depending on your needs. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The food portions are very large but 7 people over two occasions found the food too oily and heavy. But this can be adjusted, as it's a new restaurant. House beers are serviceable and the IPAs (standard, hazy, double) and red were the best of the bunch. Happy hour prices were reasonable but menus for it had to be specifically requested. We are happy to have a new brewery in town and hope they continue to experiment with and evolve the beer selections over time. read more

I had the Peruvian Bowl and a Bloody Mary. Both fantastic, flavorful and exceeded expectations. My husband had the Farmers Market Pizza and a beer. He described it as "a beer for mature adults". We had wings as an appetizer-- ordered "extra crispy" and they listened! They were exactly how we like them :). We sat at the bar and the staff were amazing-- friendly, helpful and efficient. We had a fine dinner experience at the newly opened restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff was personable, friendly, and on taret. The space is comfortable, if sparse and a bit industrial -- it's the same scene as the previous Sanding Stone Brewery. The brussle sprouts and smoke fries appetizers were more than enough for four, and the main courses and pizza were ample and tasty. The restaurant is still going through start-up trama. Looooooong waits for drinks and appetizers and then the main courses appeared after we just started the starters, even though we ordered the mains ten minutes after the beginning course and specifically asked that there be time between courses. I look forward to coming back in a few months when the oil has gotten into the moving parts and things are running smoothly. Right now, if you are not in a hurry and want nice food that arrives when it is ready, try out the Fox! read more

Went to Noble Fox on a Sunday morning for brunch. It was excellent. My only complaint: the portions were HUGE! :-) They had a very interesting Bloody Mary bar. We didn't try it but were told they bring you a glass with shot of Vodka and you go to the bar and add all the goodies you want on a skewer - including shrimp. Looks like fun. read more

My husband, aunt, and I ate lunch here on Friday. Gigi was our server and she was an absolute rockstar. She gave great food recommendations that the whole table enjoyed and even though she was clearly busy, she made sure to check on us often. She was on top of it from start to finish. Everything we ordered was delicious! The ambience is your typical brewery. Pretty busy but nice! The patio looked very cool but it was raining when we went so we stayed inside. This place definitely has a unique style with cooking and combining different ingredients which can be tasted in their prosciutto and fig pizza. We also got the Brussels appetizers and they were well seasoned. The cauliflower appetizer had alot of different ingredients which made it harder to enjoy. We were lucky to arrive after the lunch rush, so everyone was pleasant and ready for us. Our order arrived quickly and looked lovely. We did have to ask for eating utensils. The menu is perfect for larger groups, with plenty of shareable dishes. A great idea for a wind-down after one of the local plays. My husband ordered the Steak Bites which were great for sharing. They forgot the fries, but brought a whole new serving as apology. So we now have enough steak for another meal. The dish was a little salty without the fries. I ordered the Roquette Caesar. It was full of ingredient I love, but the combination was very salty. And I usually like my food on the salty side. Still, a very filling meal, as our server very kind accepted our feedback. We ended with the Iced Banana Coconut Cake, which was very refreshing. If I could subtract a half star for the saltiness, I would. But I wouldn't take off a whole star, and I'm confident those little glitches will resolve with time. read more

Most servers seem overwhelmed and unhappy) I was told no when I asked to leave the hot sauce off the fish tacos. It was boiling hot outside so we opted for inside seating and it was nothing special. We had high hopes for this place but we were disappointed. The good: service - our server was very friendly as was the hostess who seated us, and the fish and chips. Huge piece of fresh fish fried in a delicious batter. Not greasy at all. Tartar sauce was nice. The bad: garlic Parmesan fries, and Brussel sprouts. Fries had absolutely no garlic flavor whatsoever and were drowned in powdery Parmesan. (Think green can). Brussels sprouts were described as crispy but were very soggy and absolutely doused in Balsamic - way too overpowering. The so-so: burger and beer. As a brewpub aficionado, I'd like a wider selection of beers from which to choose, but the pilsner, hazy, NW IPA, and stout were all good, if not outstanding. Fish tacos and BLT were of a good size and well-prepared. Price was fair. So what was missing - not sure, maybe ambience? Not much has changed in the decor/layout from the Standing Stone days. The bad is the food just wasn't very good. The wait to get food was over an hour. Our seat was next to a back door that was constantly being opened by staff and brought in a strong draft every time. All servers were friendly, informative and enthusiastic. Felt there was something for everyone on the menu. We like a little spice to our cuisine and the food did not disappoint. The 'starters' we got, crispy sprouts and spicy cauliflower were easily large enough to share. We began with the chilled Caprese salad which was again a good sized portion and vey shareable. Our favorite dish of the night was the spicy Salmon tacos that paired well with wine and in-house craft stout we chose. There was food to take home and since we did not have room for dessert we plan to return for an evening of drinks and dessert in the very near future. As a confessed semi-snobbish foodie, I never imagined I would rate a brew pub five stars for its food execution! But the outstanding quesocarnitas tacos deserve high praise. Earthy, warm spiced, succulent pork and melted cheese all wrapped in house made tortillas that have the texture and flavor of an Oaxacan food cart. A range of toppings and sauces on the side allow the diner to navigate bites that are tangy (pickled onions and radishes) or hot (chile sauce) or umami (rich pork broth reduction) or bright (crema). This is Mexico on a plate. Our server was top-notch, making several trips to our remote table on the deck to ensure we were having a positive experience. Note: Light, budget-minded eaters could easily share this entree, perhaps with a side salad? Though it is tempting to hog these tacos (pun intended) and fend off any wandering forks! read more
