As someone who worked downtown for a couple years, I had the opportunity to try every spot in town. The Nom Nom Deli is a place that I returned to on an almost daily basis. The customer service was phenomenal, the owner running his business and loving every moment of it. We always greet each other and he knows my boyfriend and I very well. The shop is always spotless and well maintained. The food, of course, is the best. We generally order too much and take it home with us for later (so good!). It is all very, very reasonably priced. I generally order a veggie hum bao or spring roll and a curry tofu banh mi. It's all freshly made; I will never eat spring rolls from any other place again. If you appreciate quality food, wonderful people and service, this is the place to go. Although we have moved to a different area, I venture to Olympia solely for the Nom Nom Deli. It is worth the travel and a wonderful experience every time. read more

Had the grilled pork bahn mi sandwich- not that memorable - lacked any sauce other than a dab of plain mayo - pork was fatty and may have been ok if actually grilled (would have crisped it up). Added hot sauce but was underwhelmed. As it was, we left most of the food on the table and went to Jakes for corn dogs. read more

This is the new incarnation of Nammy's Deli. As far as I can tell, they've kept the same menu and only raised prices a tiny bit. The quality is back to the old standard, which is nice because Nammy's was on a serious decline there for a bit. At $3.53 including tax for a tofu bahn mi, there's really nothing to complain about. The service was great but the sandwiches were just so so. Kind of plain with a little bit too fatty meat and very dry. They had a bit too much bread with how dry the sandwich was. If you're looking for a great bahn mi sandwich try out Little Da Nang, was thinking about there awesome food the entire time I was eating the food their. Friendly staff and nice and inviting interior. Unfortunately the banh mi was mediocre. Pork was Chinese style char siu and not traditional marinated Vietnamese style. Bread was dry, no pate spread and veggies were lacking flavor. Tough to find really stellar banh mi unless you travel to Portland or Seattle. read more

This is the former Namis Bakery..... And new ownership has cleaned it up, physicly and service. Location has always been known for great food...My son and I went in tonight and met the new owner. Food and service has improved 10 fold. The new owner is focused on service,quality and availability! The former owners failed at this. Worth a try if ya want a good bon mi sandwich. read more

Tasty, fast and affordable. Their menu is inviting and so are the prices! I like the smaller portions for smaller costs concept because it allows me to try multiple items. For under $7 I got 2 fresh spring rolls and a large bbq bao. The service was speedy and friendly. The guy taking orders must have used my name 5 times within our transaction. The spring roll had shrimp, bbq pork, noodles, lettuce and cilantro. The peanut sauce was light and delicious. The bao was tender and had good flavor. This is a very nice restaurant with a clean interior. When my husband and I visited, we had the pork lemon grass banh mi sandwich and pad thai. Both were extremely delicious! Fantastic Asian deli! Very laid back very casual, limited hours so check before you go. Wonderful won-ton soup, great fresh spring rolls. The Vietnamese sandwiches are filling and delicious, the fried rice dishes are great, noodle dishes I'm still not sure on which ones to order so I'll update later. This place reminded me of the many small cafes in Ho Chi Min City, but there, they are usually open to the street because the weather is hot year-round. I had the Singapore stir fried noodles for lunch. Service was fairly quick, order at the counter. Prices are reasonable. The stir fry was very good with tender fresh vegetables and white meat chicken in a stir fry sauce, not spicy or too sweet. I like to add some red sauce to my stir fry, but my table didn't have the usual Vietnamese condiment tray with soy, hot sauce, and hoison. Maybe I should have asked, but the waitress never came back and the line at the counter grew very long. They have a very large selection of Vietnamese sandwiches that I will be back to try.
