Cart noodles (車仔麵) is a classic Hong Kong soup noodle. You get to pick your own toppings to go in the noodles. I picked cuttlefish balls, black pepper beef balls, and curry deep fried gluten with oil egg noodles. I also got some beef brisket sauce to go into to soup base which made it even more flavourful. The chicken wings are a must try, I can eat a whole bowl of those, i liked the thick egg noodles. The fish skin would have been better if I had it on the side because in the soup it became soggy. Finally something decent and HK style in the area which brings back memories of HK hawker food! Lineup was quick but I suggest you leave your phone number with them and wait inside your car since there isn't much room for you to stand inside. Here are my general ratings, with 5 being the best. Cleaniness was 3 out of 5, would be better if each table had their own sanitizers for covenience and safety. Service/Staff were 4 out of 5 & Food was 3.5 out of 5. My food would've tasted better with more sides and honestly there was so little chili oil that i didn't think was worth being charged for, but I guess it because it was made in-house and limited to customers? Been here twice and ordered different toppings on different types of noodles in soup, and the verdict, thick noodles for the win! Thick noodles were better than thin noodles and was more filling and more flavorful because it soaked up more soup! Their Swiss chicken wings were good, but a little expensive IMO. Would i come back? I really like this place, serving up HK cart noodles. They have a lot of options and customizations. They also have some preset bowls with the WORKS- abalone or pigs feet. I thought the food was delicious and its a very nice small space. However, cart noodles are generally a cheap "fast food" alternative in HK. The prices here would not suggest that. That's my only reason for knocking off a star. read more

We were thoroughly impressed with our meal here at The Noodle Bar! It was honestly SO delicious. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and waited about 10 mins for a table for two. The space is small inside but dividers were set up for social distancing. If you enjoy the concept of customizing your noodles, then this cart noodle restaurant is for you! After scanning the QR code to open the order page, you're prompted to choose either soup or dry noodles and then 1) the type of noodle 2) toppings 3) sauces 4) additional free toppings and 5) side dishes. While you can't go wrong with any of their marked recommended toppings, I do HIGHLY recommend to try the pig intestine, the best I've ever had in my life. It was bursting with flavour and just the right amount of chewiness. The slow cook beef brisket was also very tender and again, well-seasoned. I also had the braised pig feet and curry fish balls - a two thumbs up from me. For the sauces, I chose the recommended "TNB special sweet & hot sauce" and it did not disappoint. The only thing that I wouldn't rave about from here is the Swiss chicken wings as we didn't feel like they were marinated in the sauce enough. Everything else was on pointttt, not to mention, the portions are quite generous. I cannot wait to come back to The Noodle Bar!! This restaraunt really impessed me. Cart noodle is suppose to be more on the ghetto side of things but this place really stepped it up a notch. The food was absolutely amazing. Anyone who likes cart noodles from back in china or hk willl love this place. Wide selection of noodle types and meats. Only thing is This place is mainly focused on organ and exotic meats so it might not be for everyone. ( pig skin, hand, stomache, curry fish balls, chicken , etc..) This place is absolutely amazing! We loved it so much that we had it twice during our short trip to Toronto. The " pig oil" rice reminds me of childhood comfort food. Been here twice so far and I like the noodles. I got the 4 topping one both times. The beef brisket is so good - sauce is amazing and very soft. I also like their curry fishballs. Haven't had a chance to try the honeycomb tripe yet as it was unavailable both times I went. Their house soup broth is good too - My husband tried the spicy broth but it wasn't as good. It was a trip down memory lane of Hong Kong when I had takeout from The Noodle Bar today. I ordered 4 toppings: duck gizzard, beef brisket, abalone, and curry pig skin, along with thick egg noodles and sweet and hot special soup. My family had 全家福 with 6 ingredients. I ordered ahead online to be picked up at a specific time and food was ready when I arrived. Payment was only by cash or debit. You could see through the kitchen and the staff working inside. Dining area looked small and tables seemed quite close together. Soup was separated and still hot by the time I got home (10 minutes). $13 + tax for a bowl of 4-toppings noodles is really not bad at all considering the inflation after pandemic. The sweet and hot flavour everything together was on point. Portion was generous. The options for ingredients reminded me of what we would eat growing up in HK that might not be as common here. My folks chatted about their memories of portable noodle bar in the good ol' days and street food back home in general. They were quite happy with the food as well. The food proportions are out of line with the price charged on their menu. When placing our orders with the specified QR code, in the special comment/request box, we wrote "hotter food/broth please" in Chinese language. As soon as submitting our orders digitally, I also reminded the waitress the same request, "hotter food/broth please." Upon hearing our conversations with the waitress, the female owner came over to check what we were talking about. I literally repeated the same request, "hotter food/broth please!" What a surprise, both bowls were really barely room temperature only!!! The waitress came over to ask if our orders were hot enough for us. We were just left speechless and no point to ask for anything from that moment, even reheating our bowls with their microwave????? Furthermore, the portion of food in our bowls were such a shock to us. We could sense that the owner knew why we were not satisfied after all the effort/ attempt made. She seemed not care about it at all. Maybe they have enough business/orders everyday to sustain the business. But let's see what happen then!!! I always emphasize that the food taste preferences are really personal and subjective, and very hard to control whether they are able to satisfy or please every single customer. Being said, the food temperature is the easiest element to control, out of all the factors for a successful business to be sustainable and with good reviews among patrons. Finally, this was a very disappointing experience and we will definitely NOT come back for anything from this place.
