We had the mussels which were mind blowing. We always order mussels on any menu and we agreed that these were probably the best we have ever had overall. You could drink the delicious broth they are cooked in or just soak the wonderful House made bread in it and eat it like we did. They gave us complimentary champagne and pumpkin cheesecake which was totally unnecessary but speaks to the thoughtfulness of this restaurants staff and ownership. We had another dinner the next day at another respected restaurant and it was such a let down after Duner's. The wine list here is delicious and fairly priced. Our entrees were both fresh, great portions, and genuinely delicious. We both can't wait to come back here again and again. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts app was very tasty..had a nice kick to it with good flavor. The Halibut, creamy Shrimp & Sausage Pasta and the Coq au Vin were all very enjoyable. Fresh ingredients and just good solid dishes all around. What we really enjoyed was the Coconut Cake with fresh berries. Wow, fluffy cake with a nice berry sauce and fresh whipped cream. One of the best coconut cakes we've had. Been very impressed with the Charlottesville food scene and Duner's didn't disappoint.

My boyfriend's two favorite things are the biscuits and gravy and the French toast. He gets it every time and it's always good. I usually get a combo breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage links, corned beef hash and hash browns. Can't be beat! The food is hot and delicious. The prices are totally reasonable so you'll have to wait awhile if you come in person especially on a weekend. Expect to wait up to an hour. If you don't want to do that you can also order delivery which I've done a few times. Overall, this is a great spot for simple hot and delicious breakfast!
