Brunch here is great! And the waitress was friendly and helpful. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich is to die for, with LOTS of bacon and a yummy special sauce. I first ordered a Bloody Mary which was not my favorite... tasted like shrimp cocktail sauce with a celery stalk that was not crunchy. However I later ordered Prosecco and that was great. Went here with a friend to check out their brunch offerings. After perusing the menu, I had my mind made up and then the waiter mentioned that they also had their regular burger on the menu--with an egg--to make it brunch. I love a good burger and couldn't resist this and was even able to swap out the french fries for Brussels sprouts. The burger was very tasty and paired well with the sauce, egg, and bun--all of the flavors came together nicely. The Brussels sprouts were also decent--and there was no upcharge to change from fries, which was appreciated. Overall, this place is still feeling its way around the neighborhood, but they put up some solid dishes as my friend and I both enjoyed our meal. In addition, the waiter was super friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. And last, but not least--we were probably the only people that did not have some sort of wine there since this place is currently BYOB and very open about it--so take advantage while you can. read more

I came to this café after looking it up on Eater. It seemed decent and it was somewhat new so wanted to check it out. I made a booking for brunch for 4 on Saturday at 11:15am. We got there on time and there was barely anyone there so we were seated pretty much straight away and ordered a drink. I just got an OJ and my husband got a cranberry juice. This was where it started going downhill. You could tell both of the juices were from a bottle, not fresh at all. Our friend ordered an espresso as well but she said it wasn't great either. Next came our food. We all ordered our meals but the food took a lot longer to come out than expected and the place wasn't even full. It was fine, we were there to catch up with friends anyway. When the food did come out, it didn't look amazing. I got the eggs your way with bacon and scrambled egg. The bacon was super sweet and the eggs... lets just say anyone could have done a better job with scrambled eggs. The potato hash also was not seasoned at all. My husband got the crème brulee French toast which actually looked alright but he said was super sweet. Our friends ordered the cauliflower bowl and the baked eggs. Both didn't seem that amazing either. As a place featured on Eater, I expected so much more from this place. The service was only so so as well. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon. read more

Came for brunch on a Sunday. Food was good but service left a lot to be desired. We had a reservation and stood by the door waiting for someone to seat us and after waiting for several minutes was told to go inside and check in with the bartender at the bar. We went in to do that and waited a few more minutes for him to finish mixing drinks and then finally got seated outside. We sat around for a good 10-15 minutes before anybody came to offer water and get our drinks order. Tried to order coffee but they do not offer any non-dairy milk options which may have been a blessing in disguise as my friend got the coffee and not only was it not hot, it tasted terrible. Sent it back for a hot fresh cup and the waiter actually said the coffee is not good here and he voided from our check. How do you not have decent coffee with brunch service?? After waiting for another 10-15 minutes, someone finally came to take our food order. The food arrived fairly quickly given how everything else was so slow. We both had the French toast and a side of bacon and fries. Everything was good, but I wouldn't come back again given the service. read more

Made a reservation for a Thursday evening, of course baby and I were running late. Spoke to the manager who was understanding and kindly held the table for us. Our server was Alex, patient and helpful with the menu. I started with the polenta cakes. They were light and delicious, loved the salty pieces of feta. Baby even had a few nibbles. For dinner I ordered the short ribs. The portion - huge! The meat was so juicy, just fell off the bone. Came with an acorn squash purée which baby really enjoyed!!! The kitchen was kind enough to whip up a 'kids meal' which consisted of chicken fingers and thick cut fries. By this time baby needed to leave so we asked for the Kahlua cake to go which was a perfect treat at the end of the night. The ambiance, food, and bar staff were great, however I had such a disappointing experience with the waiter who kept coming up to me on my birthday brunch to tell me that I needed to leave soon because another reservation was coming. How inappropriate? My friends and I were there just under two hours and spent over $230 on food and drinks. I felt so uncomfortable and it was completely rude of him to keep coming up to me when I was trying to enjoy my birthday celebration with many of my friends that I don't get to see often. The place was really uncomfortably cold inside and the server didn't really pay attention to our table- we had to walk up to the bar and ask for silverware. At the end of the day, the food was so-so. I ordered the North Fork Burger, which looked excellent on the menu - made with a blend of brisket and short-rib. I asked for whatever temperature the chef recommends. The burger was notable in a few ways: 1. The meat was mushy and fell apart. As I picked up the burger and tilted it to take a bite, the bottom quarter of the burger just fell out of the bun and onto my plate. I tried for a few seconds to fit it back into the bread, but was unable to. 2. The flavor on the burger was not bad - there was a strong cheesy flavor and a sweet-ish relish / sauce that came with the burger. 3. I wasn't a big fan of the buns. They were cold, and I think should've been toasted with a bit of butter on the sides of the buns. The fingerling potatoes that came with the dish weren't bad, but could've been crispier. I also would've loved to substitute another side for the fingerlings, but was told that wasn't an option. Overall, while I liked the vibe, the food experience was mediocre. For a much cheaper price and a better meal, there are a couple of places I'd go to first. read more

An amazing place for casual dinner and drinks with friends. Tried several dishes and my favorite has to be the Spicy Mussels! I really appreciate that they didn't shy away from the spice, and to find out it's actually based on the owner's mother's recipe, it's no wonder it hits very close to the heart! To top it off, I had the Mango Mousse Cake, which was very light, not to sweet, and the mango bits on the top just gave it a very nice texture - overall very delicious! A friend recommended this restaurant to us and let me tell you I will definitely be going back! The rustic decor inside is warm and welcoming. We went with a large group of people so we ordered a table in advance which was a good thing because the place was packed! The star dish of the restaurant is the Creme Brûlée French Toast! My friend and I were pretty thrilled about our impromptu chic dinner choice. We got a few things on the menu to share and I have to say that's the way to go here with so many interesting options. We chose the seared duck with maple brussel sprouts (which they said was one of the highlights of their new fall menu), the red pepper hummus with chips, and the cauliflower pizza. Anyone that knows me knows I'm the first to laugh at any creation from this cauliflower craze but the waiter swore by it so we gave it a go and I LOVED it. Cheesy, goey and delicious with the roasted tomatoes and arugula on-top. The red pepper hummus was smoky and creamy and a nice execution of such a classic. The duck plate was my favorite-- Such a thick cut of meat yet it was juicy and tender and the sweetness of the maple on the sprouts complimented it so nicely. We ordered the mango mousse for dessert and that dense mango bite on the soft mousse and cake bottom was dynamite. We finished our meals close to their closing time so a few staff members chatted with us after as we had drinks and their new executive chef, Brian Jawahir came out to ask how we enjoyed the food. He seems very passionate about his creations and this attention was very nice of him and the staff. 5/5, we really enjoyed ourselves and we'll be back for their brunch which I've read is very good. read more

North Fork to the rescue! The night got off to a bad start at another nearby restaurant - when things turned south, my friend and I decided to leave and come to North Fork. Great ambience and service. Unfortunately the food falls short of quality. I wanted it so badly to work because we love the ambience and that's its BYOB on some nights. But the chicken was not very flavorful and the side dish tasted like canned beans. The fettuccine was tasty and the burrata app was great. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the aesthetic is quite nice, what It was missing...was everything else. I went for Sunday brunch against my better instincts. A staff of very untrained servers seated us and from there all down hill. After 45 minutes waiting (with one glass of water) I'm brought a plate of cold avocado toast, the avocado had actually browned because it had sat out for what I can only assume was thirty plus minutes, the order was incorrect and when they brought me eggs the were cold along with even colder potato leek hash. No service. No infrastructure. Really piss poor experience. Go to little own it's down the block and considerably better. read more

The food was very good. But, the service was terrible. We're thinking maybe a server called in sick and they promoted a busboy to server with no training. Our entrees came before our appetizer, well three of the four entrees were served. We cancelled the appetizer and then had to wait another ten minutes for the forth entree to come out. The server never came back to check on our drinks, which were empty for half the meal. I finally was able to flag him down and ordered a glass of wine. He came back ten minutes later to get our dessert order, and I reminded him about my wine. Asked another server about it, and then when he came to check on us, I cancelled it. I read on Eater that this place just opened and thought we'd check it out since reservations were available for a last minute booking on a Saturday night. When my husband and I walked in, it took a few minutes before we were acknowledged by a waiter. The room was dark with dim lighting. I think the goal was to make the room cozy and intimate but the empty bar stood out and made the space look incomplete. There seemed to have been some confusion about finding our reservation, so we waited another few minutes while someone "ran across the street" to confirm (?). Once we were seated, a couple next to us informed us that it was BYOB and suggested a liquor store near by (2 min walk). Bread was not served. We ordered two starters (polenta cakes and burrata) and two entrees (short ribs and sea bass). We asked our waitress if getting a side of Brussel sprouts would be too much food - she suggested waiting until later in the meal to order since they only take a few minutes to prepare (wish we ordered right away because all the portions were very small). Polenta cakes were ok - a bit bland. Burrata was tasty but way too watery and difficult to scoop/spread - it also came with 3 small pieces of bread (way too little bread and odd number is not suitable for 2 people sharing). The sea bass was very well cooked and dressed but the portion was tiny (see pic). Same for the short ribs - while it looks like a decent portion, there is only small amount that is not fat and was edible to us. Upon receiving our entrees and seeing the small amount of food, we ordered the Brussel sprouts - unfortunately, 20 minutes later, they still did not come (it seemed like the waitress forgot to put it in). We cancelled the order and asked for the check out of frustration, deciding to grab dessert somewhere else (we were still hungry when we left so ended up grabbing pizza on the way home instead). With waiting, the meal took almost 2 hrs. Overall, I thought there were way too many kinks to work out and opening seemed a little too early. read more
