I highly recommend getting the coconut duck skewers as an appetizer! It was so flavorful and the mousse sauce it came with and cucumbers was great. The chicken noodles and especially the crab curry noodles were amazing! The jumbo lump crab meat was very good. I also enjoyed my iced Thai tea. The workers are nice and the food came out pretty quickly. I would love to come back again!

Four of us came here for my birthday dinner back in November and split a bunch of things: E-san crispy rice: Great chewy texture. The citrus and trout caviar custard was tasty. Hokkaido scallops ceviche: You can never go wrong with scallops, and I enjoyed the slightly sweet red chili lime vinaigrette, but this didn't feel worthwhile for just four thin slivers of scallop. Rice cracker branzino: One of my favorite dishes of the night. The meaty chunks of fish were crusted with rice puffs and boasted a delicious chili-lime sauce similar to the one in the ceviche. It was also lined with a variety of pickled veggies like red onions, cauliflower, corn, and sliced cherry tomatoes for a refreshing balance. Such a flavorful and unique dish with lots of well-executed textural components. Colossal crab curry noodle: Sadly not so colossal. While there was a good amount of crab meat and the curry was tasty, we felt like there should've been much more noodles. Jasmine tea-smoked BBQ baby back ribs: My other favorite dish. The meat was so tender, and the sauce was delicious with a nice smokiness. The supposedly spicy basil fries weren't spicy at all, nor did they really taste like basil, but they were fluffy inside. Slow-braised lamb shank: Another well-cooked hunk of meat. I loved the lamb jus curry sauce. But yet again, the portion of saffron-raisin rice it came with was very small. Why so much skimping on the starchy bases, man? Pull-apart bread: This was probably my least favorite thing. The smoked crispy shallot butter was good, and I liked the bread's fluffy texture, but it was supposed to taste like kabocha and I didn't get that at all. It was a pretty forgettable bite and felt overpriced at $13. While some dishes let us down with their small portions, the flavors were almost consistently on point. While I'm not sure I would be a regular customer given these prices, I still had a great meal overall.

I randomly stumbled across this place while in Brooklyn. We were sat immediately without a reservation, which was great. The staff was super nice and I loved how intimate this restaurant was. We were unable to get those pretty dumplings, but we did see another table with them and they looked so good. I will say I am in love with that shrimp pad Thai perfect portion and this restaurant will definitely be on my list next time I am in town!

We typically order delivery from this place but tonight we decided to eat in. And it was a great decision! The food was very good and so was the service! We ordered the "CHOR MOUNG" Purple Blossom Dumpling ($12) - a novelty but not sure I would order it again. We shared two entrees- Jasmin Tea-Smoked BBQ Baby Back Rib w/ hand-cut spicy basil fries. Amazing. Meat fell off the bone. We also had the sautéed chicken ginger. Overall delicious! And service was excellent! The only issue I had was the noise. The restaurant has a lot of tile and high ceilings which makes it echo and carry noise. Other than that, a great place to dine.

I love Thai food and this restaurant delivered some of the best Thai food I've had. The dumplings looked so beautiful I didn't want to eat it lol and when I did? it was such a delicious satisfying bite. My friend and I shared 2 entrees. The short rib was braised perfectly.. it was falling off the bone. The crab in the crab curry noodle was so juicy and the curry sauce was to die for. I also had a drink (I think it's the lavender melon) and it was crafted beautifully and tasted even better. Great service. Lovely ambiance. Would definitely recommend.

Top dish is the lump crab curry noodles , bottom : spicy shrimp noodles

Friday night the space is filled with dates and friend groups. Sexy decor and lighting . Indoor/outdoor seating. The menu is simple not overwhelming. Its like elevated thai food. They have some of the standards then a twist on some classics. For appetizer we did the pull apart bread. It was described eloquently but essentially it was just a stuffed croissant lol it was ok. My friend ordered the lump crab curry noodles. It was good had a decent kick to it. I ordered the spicy shrimp noodles. It had a hell of a kick and nice jumbo pieces of shrimp. Its a good date spot. The prices are higher then a typical Thai spot. I had a whiskey sour it was good. My friend ordered one of the 2 mocktails and enjoyed it

Well balanced flavors, excellent portions, and reasonably priced. Sidewalk seating available, simple beauty inside. Beautiful presentation, creative but not austentatious. Server knowledgeable, handled preferences well. Refreshingly delicious.

A cozy intimate restaurant with good food. I wanted to get their recommended purple blossom dumplings but unfortunately they were out of them. I got the delicious holy basil minced chicken .. pretty good however if it came with noodles instead of the rice it would be perfect imo. The server Lisa was professional and friendly. I think this restaurant is worth trying once if close by.

interesting fusion dishes but nothing is ever crave. got the banana flower salad - unique and liked the subtle sweetness the flowers brought, ribs - super tender, and ground chicken. not too impressed overall.

PHENOMENAL THAI FOOD! Very friendly staff and the food was incredible. We ordered a good bit of food: the basic shrimp pad thai lol, the masamam curry, dumplings, and fried cheese wontons. All of these dishes were incredible. We also all got three drinks which suited all of our preferences perfectly! Definitely get drinks while you're here. The staff was also that perfect balance of there when you needed them, but not hawking over your shoulder. There's a nice patio on the street or a quaint and cute inside dining room inside if that's your preference. Good vibes all around! I'll be back:)

Absolutely fantastic place with fantastic service and fantastic food. The ambiance is date-night-y but not too romantic that you can't go out with buddies. The food is spicy but not overwhelming. The desert CANNOT be missed.

My cousin took me and my family here after ranting about how good this spot was. I ordered the banana blossom salad, my sister got the red curry, my cousin and his wife got shrimp pad thai and the short rib dish. We all tasted the duck sausages for our appetizer. The Thai tea could be a tad less sweeter and for the price point of some of the dishes, the serving size was a bit small. Overall everything was delicious though.

Nuaa was quite a nice experience for a quiet dinner in the neighborhood. With Vanderbilt closed on weekends this summer it's sure to be a hit. The star is definitely the slow braised massaman curry. Must get for sure. We definitely wouldv like to try some other dishes on the menu based on what we've had. Service was great, staff was nice. Will be back

Our group of 4 started with a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a few appetizers to share, namely: Som tum papaya salad and dumplings curry. For the main entree, my eyes caught the attention of clay pot mix-fried rice with shrimp, chicken, sweet sausage, and my partner chose shrimp pad thai. Nothing really stood out with the dishes; I found it to be a bit Americanized, having eaten in so many Thai restaurants around New York City. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here; our food came in timely fashion, and the customer service is good as well, but it's probably not your place if you are seeking a more authentic Thai-style cooking.

PLEASE get the mango stick rice cocktail omg it was gone in like 5 sips because it was so good. The tuna ceviche was so refreshing and the sauce had a little kick to it which I absolutely loved! It was like a sprinkle of Thai on a classic tuna ceviche. Note the taro chips are a little thicker than a typical chip! The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. We got pineapple lychee crispy duck, crab fried rice, and kana crispy pork over rice as our entree. ALL WERE SO GOOD! The curry for the pineapple lychee crispy duck was so creamy and flavorful, with the duck portion being huge and being the perfect texture. I loved that it was crispy and didn't get soggy fast in the curry. The crab fried rice was top tier as there were SO MANY HUGE CRAB PIECES!! You can definitely tell that it had flavors of seafood/crab.. they did not skimp out! And the kana crispy pork over rice was huge portion as well, but note that it was a big strong/saltier than the other dishes. For dessert, the pandan coconut pudding custard was SO yummy. It was warm and so flavorful and creamy!! I fell in love with Brooklyn even more after coming here. Highly recommend!!

The restaurant is tiny, so be sure to make a reservation. As a lover of spicy food, the spiciness in the dishes really brought out such a great flavor. Since my friend didn't eat as spicy, we found a happy medium getting just slightly spicy dishes which were all fantastic. We ordered the Khao Soi ($33) and Pla Tod Nam Pla ($40). The khao soi wasn't too spicy, especially since the broth has a creaminess and the spicies are on the side before mixing, which you can exclude. The chicken was so tender, but did come with bone so this can be trickier to share. Then the pla tod really surprised me, but I can definitely see why it's the best seller. It is a fried branzino with a marinated fish sauce which goes so nicely with all the crunch. There are a few remaining pieces of bone, so be careful. The fish had a nice balance of fish meat and crunchy skin. If you're looking for a unique Thai spot, this is it. Also, perfect spot for spicy lovers too. They also offer a huge selection of alcohol.

My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

I enjoyed the food and the event so much that I've returned and told others to go as well. What I like the most is that Chiangmai's expansive menu showcases aspects of Thai cuisine that you're probably not getting at your neighborhood spot. Many items are Northern Thai style dishes. I'd never had Khao Soi before coming here and I was blown away. The chiangmai sausage is also delicious. The roasted duck curry boasts deep flavor while also maintaining the crispiest duck skin. For appetizers, we started with the crispy salmon belly bites and the moo ping. Frying salmon is risky, but the fattiness of the belly keeps it from drying out. The moo ping is nicely grilled and served with a sweet sauce. You just can't go wrong ordering meat on a stick. As an entree, I tried the Gaeng Awm Nur, a soup-like beef dish served with a side of sticky rice. Our server had been really nice and welcoming, so I felt ok asking how I should eat my meal. She advised that I make a ball of some sticky rice with my hand, mash it a bit, and then dip it into the soup. Thai food achievement unlocked! Now I know what to do next time I'm served sticky rice. There's so much on the menu it can be hard to choose. This is encouragement to go with someone else who enjoys food so you can choose things to share! You won't be disappointed and in fact may find that your regular Thai spots could step up their game in comparison.
