A large, soft, salty pretzel and creamy, decadent dip made this app a 10/10. Then we tried a couple of cups of gumbo which had the best roux I have ever tasted... Another 10!!! I could just order a pretzel and a bowl of gumbo and be completely satisfied with my meal here. For our mains we got the sticky chicken and fried catfish. Sticky chicken was a little sweet for my taste 7/10 and the catfish was perfect, another 10/10. The sides were good but the jalapeno blueberry coleslaw stole the show. If you're ever in the area this restaurant is a must try! They'll be moving to a new location soon and I hope it has the same cozy feel as this original location.

This was my third visit and my last. The wait today wasn't more than 45 minutes. I do recall the…read moregnats previously but it seems to be a out of control issue, even ROACHES. A small one crawling on the wall near our table and someone from my party saw a larger one crawling near the kitchen. And boy was it stuffy in there. I asked our waitress if she could move a floor fan near for some relief and to detour the gnats, she said she go ask but she never came back and when she did she completely forgot my request. We weren't seated in the greater eating area where it was cooler and maybe where the gnats were less of a bother. The food was delicious and homemade, you can tell it was made with high quality ingredients and that Southern skill that you can only get from helping Grandma in the kitchen. BUT the roaches made us lose our appetite. Such a shame. It seemed like the building went down. They don't seem to put as much effort into the condition of that place as they do the food. Dusty ceiling fans and crummy floors. I appreciate the homey vibe but it looked really junky, more stuff piled in unoccupied corners as before. I gave a lot of things the side eye, I mean it there has to be maintained asthetic. They charged an 18% gratuity on my tab for a party of 8 but I arrived with 4 people, the other 4 had already been there, paid and was almost done with their meal. Then of course the cashier/waitress still mentioned an additional, optional tip. I didn't think that was fair. At the end of it all she wasn't the best waitress.

Jacob and Matt took exceptional care of us and made our experience so much fun. Their energy, attentiveness, and hospitality were unmatched. We started with a dozen raw oysters and a half dozen Oysters Bienville, and baby... when I tell you they were to DIE for! Fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Chef's Special: Linguine Alfredo with shrimp and crawfish, topped with fried red snapper, served with green beans and garlic bread. Whew! Every bite was seasoned to perfection. My wife ordered the Salmon Latiffe with Brussels sprouts and rice, and it was BOMBBBB. Cooked perfectly and full of flavor. And of course, 4 reposado tequila lemon drops later, we were having the time of our lives! The drinks were amazing, the food was phenomenal, and the service was exceptional. Overall, this was an incredible lunch date with my wife. Amazing food, amazing drinks, and even better service. We will absolutely be back! 10/10 highly recommend.

Disappointed by the lamb lollipops, it's criminal to drown them in what tasted like teriyaki sauce straight from the bottle. Nonetheless, Abby our server was great and is one of those people that just seems happy to be alive! Mike: Hands down coming back here for the gumbo and drinks! Oysters were good, but they went too fancy on mignonette sauce, stick with simple red wine and shallots. Favorite was the crab and asparagus! Abby was amazing as well!

I've had versions where the celery flavor is very prominent, but I thought this one had a lighter flavor since the celery had been chopped smaller. The rice had less of a bite than other étouffée I've had and was similar to regular rice, which I like. There was only (2) plump shrimps and several tiny but well-cooked crawfish in it, but I understand that's what is available right now. The shrimp and grits comes covered with a creamy sauce and slices of andouille sausage. I had a bite from my sister's shrimp and grits and thought they were pretty good but creamier than the other dishes. The grits were kept more basic as flavors of the sauce and meats were already heavy.

They made a Thanksgiving dinner for 90 employees on Friday of this past week and hand-delivered to our plant. Everything Cajun Smoke makes is seasoned to perfection and hits the taste buds just right! Marc is our neighbor and he occasionally sells plates.
