Probably the best Indian in Galveston. Located in a gas station (yes, definitely not something you expect), with limited parking, a few seats inside (blasted by cold AC) and some amazing water views outside. Order at the counter - about as minimal service as you can expect. However, they had nonstop lines of people ordering or picking up so business is definitely booming. Ordered Chicken korma, garlic Nana, mango lassi, and the tandoori pomfret. Tandoori pomfret excellent flavor and cooked well. A bit hard to eat but manageable. Mango lassi was thick, delicious, and not too sweet. Definitely a fan favorite. Garlic Nanna about what you expect, fluffy and delicious. Chicken korma came with a ton of rice, and decent flavor. My group and I ordered 5 items, we got some Samosas, butter chicken, Chicken Tika Masala, Goat Tika Masala and Goat Biryani. The Samosas at first glance seemed a little small but there were not lacking in flavor. Personally I am not a huge fan of butter chicken and that was evident here, it just felt like it was lacking, the Chicken Tika Masala was good but nothing to write home about personally. The Goat biryani was exactly what I was expecting from it, loved it. The Goat Tika Masala exceeded my expectations; it had just the right about of spice, flavor and meat ratio to it. Came here literally hours after my classmates told me about the new Indian spot that opened in town. It's located in a gas station convenience store but you'll know as soon as you walk in bc the food smells delicious from the door. The workers were very friendly and the food is made extremely fresh to order. I got the butter chicken with a side of garlic naan (my go to Indian food order) and I was NOT disappointed. The rice was well cooked. The naan was buttery and the butter chicken was soooo good. The chicken was super tender and the sauce was flavorful. Plus the portions are biggg. It's enough for 2 meals. I'll admit, it is extremely unusual to use the words " Chicken tikka masala" and "Sunoco gas station" in the same sentence. But, after hearing that the owner, Videsh (formally of Curry House in Humble. See my review) opened his own place in Galveston and in a gas station, no less, I knew I had to try it. And wow, I was not disappointed. Absolutely fantastic. Now, I've only been here once but the food is just as good as it was in Humble. Very good. So far, I've only had the chicken tikka masala, but I will be back and will try other things. Here is even more good news... Not only is the food fabulous and although there are no tables on the inside because it is a gas station, there are tables outside on the water, which is a great place to sit while enjoying your meal. And who doesn't enjoy sitting on a deck once in a while looking at the scenery? Another positive is there is a pump in the back, on the water, to fill up your boat. So, while you're getting gas, run in and grab a meal. You will not be disappointed. A very unusual five stars for me considering we're eating at a gas station but I promise you will not be disappointed. With food that is this tasty, it will not be long before he opens a full standing restaurant with dine-in seating. It is that good. An easy five stars. This is my second time coming here and I got the Murg do payaza and Chicken Vindaloo. The Chicken Vindaloo is a spicy and has potatoes which tasted really good. The Murg had onions and was creamy. I'm so happy I got to try more of the menu. Service was fast even when it was busy. read more

The Indian flavors are great! The food came out hot and delicious! The service was friendly and patient. The vindaloo had a great spiciness, the chicken curry had that eventful spice to the dish, the mango lassi was creamy and mango eat not over the sweet. Yes, it's in a gas station but let that not deter you. We came in on Sunday afternoon and we snagged the last table. All the tables outside were full and there was a line of people ordering the entire time we were there. There is no table service and your food comes in take out containers, so if there is no place to sit, you're ready to take it home. The food itself is some of the best we've had, from Texas to Canada. It seemed quiet, even with everyone hanging around waiting. The chefs worked non-stop to give us such good food. Newly opened storefront several weeks ago. Very clean. Maybe one table for those wanting to eat in house. Very large balcony in rear off Offats Bayou. May have been some seating there but not sure. I wanted something spicy. Owner recommended Goat Curry with rice and garlic naan. $21 All food was prepared fresh with amazing toasted spices, ginger, curry leaves, red chili pepper pods. 10 minutes later, I was out the door. The wonderful spicy curry aroma filled the car and I was eager to try it. This goat curry was absolutely fantastic! The flavor of the spice was insanely good. It was also perfect from a spice level. Just enough to give you a good eyeball sweat. Basmati was excellent. They even have a tandoor clay oven for the naan that was being hand stretched in the kitchen and phenomenal. What can I say?? One of my best authentic Indian meals in years. A gem of a place in the middle of Galveston where very few options for Indopak food are available. I hope they get a following and perhaps set up an outdoor table with a sun umbrella or picnic table of sorts. I work at UTMB on the east end and would make the drive to pickup food here to-go. Delicious food! We had chicken tikka, lamb byrani, samosas, and naan and everything was fantastic! The chicken tikka is so rich and creamy. Lovely view outside, sit at the picnic tables, listen to the gulls and wave at the tourist boat go by! Very chill way to grab a bite. The cashier/owner brought our food to us which is not typical but I use a cane and steps were tricky so I appreciated the extra effort. Not inexpensive but good quality food. I ordered my meal via DoorDash so I can't speak to the service and ambiance, but I have to say: move over Rice N Curry, we've got a new Indian restaurant in town and boy does it not disappoint! I gotta judge my Indian restaurants by the mainstream dishes first, so I got the butter chicken (comes with rice), but they also offer a lot of regional specialties from both North and South India like vindaloo, different fish curries, biryani, etc. The butter chicken was great and the portions are big here - I had enough for two meals! We sat and waited on the back deck and watched the pelicans and seagulls as we waited for our food. They delivered the food to our table, and we ate outside on the deck. The food was excellent! We were going to pick some up the other day after all the food Facebook reviews, and then something happened. Then we saw today they were on Door Dash. Yayyyy! We ordered everything we have been missing in Indian food and we were NOT disappointed in any way. The meals come with rice (I called to make sure because not on menu) - a lot of rice! We ordered naan and roti. Both were delish. The Butter Chicken was so tender and flavorful and spicier than normal, but I loved it that way -- and probably the most tender I have ever had. Murg Do Pyaza was flavorful and full of delicious onions - some are even fried. Palak paneer is how I judge my Indian food and this was seasoned and soft and silky with delicious paneer. Everything was amazing! I even tried to call the chef back (after bugging him about rice) to tell them how happy their food made me -- and I hope he reads this soon.
