Noir Bar is definitely one of my top BARS to visit on my short list of bars I enjoy immensely. I've…read morebeen coming since it opened, and I really cannot say I've been disappointed. The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

I was immediately thinking that this place would not be out of place on Mills ave or downtown. I saw the coffee prices posted and they seemed about average or even maybe a bit of a bargain compared to some of the coffee chain prices. I was given a menu that highlighted some of their rotating seasonal drinks. I was surprised to see drink prices at $15 & $16. I know downtown that would not be unusual, but I assumed since this was pretty far out east it might be a few dollars cheaper. Still, I understand you get what you pay for an they bar seemed to have many top shelf brands and a good selection to boot. There were a few tables with people, and I noticed a few more seemed to be working on their laptops so great idea if you would rather work with a beer or glass of wine instead of a coffee.

I am absolutely heartbroken over this news. I finally got to see this incredible goth paradise for my birthday this year and was over the moon on how much they surpassed my expectations on theming. Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. However, we initially entered to get a picture in the photobooth for our friends birthday. There was no one at the door checking IDs. After we all piled into the photobooth, someone walked up and asked for our IDs. He wanted us to exit the booth to get them. Eventually said ok because we had already paid and on a timer. But he was very impatient. Let me add that there was not a single person in the entire place. NO ONE. Let me also add that almost our entire group is almost 40. So we're obv not underage. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. It was a weird experience especially when there was literally no one else in there. The music was good but I doubt and of us will to back based on that experience alone.

My girlfriends loved the carrot cake and the fourgasm (4 dessert sampler). Everything was a bit expensive, but you're paying for the expensive. We went up to the bar to order real quick, and to ask the bar tender about the drinks on the happy hour menu. There weren't that many people at the bar and multiple bar tenders, but it took us so long to flag someone down. One guy at the end of the night even said someone would be with us, then he went and cleared our table even though we were going right back to it. The bar tender we ended up getting didn't speak a single word to us and he disappeared midway through our short stay. We ordered our drinks and after so long of not seeing them we decided to look for them. Turns out they were left with a group of guys at the bar. My friend was so uncomfortable because she's had bad experiences with her drinks being left unattended. We still ended up drinking them after the guys eventually left the bar. They were very bland, weak, and sweet. For $10 happy hour getting a sus drink that tasted like melted ice- big nope. I will never be going back.

We didn't have reservations, so we put our name down and were told the wait would be about an hour. Luckily, it ended up being closer to 30 minutes, not bad at all! We'd been here before with friends for drinks and dessert, but this was our first time actually sitting down for dinner. To start, I got the fish dip and my husband got the ceviche with plantain chips. Both were really good and had us excited for the rest of the meal. For my entrée, I went with the mojo chicken. It had great flavor, but unfortunately it was a little too dry for me, so I probably wouldn't order that one again. My husband definitely won this round with the ropa vieja, it was really good! It was okay, but a little harder than I expected, so the tres leches was definitely my favorite. The space itself is small, cozy, and super cute, and the service was amazing.
