For such a high end wedding venue, the lack of consideration for dietary restrictions was extremely disappointing. The food overall felt like the weakest part of an otherwise beautiful experience, and it is the only reason I would hesitate to recommend this venue.

Being around rescued animals and knowing that our event fee was going to support them felt really good and aligned with our values and the Ranch had what we needed. Shera is experienced with doing weddings and knew had to direct them and had recommendations of vendors as well although I brought in my own mostly. This is a unique spot in the San Diego area and it was certainly very affordable at the time given what we got and the prices that things go for in San Diego for a 70 person wedding. It's definitely worth checking out.

The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. I could not contain my emotions walking down the aisle in the Grotto--it was the most beautiful setup I have ever seen. The space was perfectly shaded, and our photos turned out stunning. After the Grotto, guests moved on to the bar area and starlit lawn, then under the tent for the reception. The flow between each space was beautifully planned. Not to mention the giant lawn, perfect for sunset photos. Our guests loved every minute of it. The staff were AMAZING! You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. They checked in with us every step of the way. I tend to get anxious with events like this, but I had zero anxiety on my wedding day--which rarely happens! They took care of everything, from keeping the timing smooth to packing up at the end of the night. A special thank you to our coordinator, Alyssa Dubois. She has a natural ability to connect with people and make everyone feel comfortable, including my mother-in-law--which is no small feat! I was the officiant for my friends wedding here. The groom and bride rooms were spacious and really clean. The ceremony under the hanging ferns has got to be one of the prettiest ceremony spaces I've seen. The dinner area that was under the white tent was also very well decorated and spacious. Everyone working was very friendly and helpful. Kind of cool/helpful that they have walkie talkies to converse with each other throughout the venue.

Jenelle was also able to make some great vendor recommendations that worked out wonderfully. The venue itself was beautiful and many of our friends told us during the night that they would have gotten married here if they had known about it for their weddings. Every member of the staff was so helpful and two steps ahead of every single one of our needs for the day before we even knew we needed them. The ceremony was held under some tall trees which was perfect since it was a bit warm, even though it was 5pm already. The dinner was a buffet of salad, potatoes, short ribs and chicken parmesan. I wish I had taken two servings of short ribs and skipped the chicken parm. The short ribs were juicy, so tender and just falling apart with my fork. There are simply not enough amazing things we could say about working with Bethany. Bethany had great communication and since the beginning she had quick responses to our questions which made planning our wedding very efficient. She has a lot of experience in the wedding industry and would ask us questions about things we didn't even consider. She was EXTREMELY accommodating - my husband and I are both healthcare workers who occasionally work Saturdays with changing schedules throughout the week - this never was an issue when it came to planning our wedding. The location is extremely beautiful from the daytime to sunset and even to night time with all the lights and chandeliers. There are honestly SO many locations to take beautiful photos in and this was a big factor as we wanted a variety of places for backdrop - there's a lavender field, a bridge overlooking a small pond area, and a place with a sing - this is not including the picturesque house covered in vines and the ceremony site. Additionally, all the decor in the photos below were included (even the furniture, florals, and table settings). We chose the package that included florals and Bethany (who is also a florist) went ABOVE and BEYOND with the floral arrangements and bouquets, literally making my Pinterest autumn wedding dreams come true. The day of the wedding went as smoothly as weddings can possibly go and despite it being the craziest day, it was also one of the best days of our lives. We really owe it all to Bethany and cannot rave enough about her and her team. We've heard from many of our friends who got married about something they didn't like about their wedding planning process, but honestly, working with Bethany was completely smooth, stress-free, and an efficient yet detailed process. This team was AMAZING, they bent over backwards (without being asked to) to ensure our daughter's wedding was as magical, beautiful, pleasant, warm and dry as possible due to a major storm forecasted. Miraculously, as the day went on, the rain pushed away and the sun peaked out. Therefore, the ceremony was held outside as planned, it was absolutely stunning! We did end up having to rent a tent for the reception, which Bethany coordinated for us. The inside of the tent was decorated beautifully, with lights and flower arrangements placed throughout, as well as, special corner curtains to cover up the tent poles. The team gave us an extra surprise by hanging a chandelier over the bride and grooms table, they thought of everything! I truly believe that because the tent being warmed by patio heaters, is why the majority of our guest stayed to the very end. This team even took preparations for where the caterer and cake cutting would be, they made everything fit in as though it was planned that way from the very start. All the elegant / beautiful bouquets and flower arrangements were hand made by Bethany, they were simply breathtaking! All of our guests stated throughout the night how beautiful the venue was. Some even stated they want their wedding to be exactly how our daughters was. It cannot go unmentioned how Bethany and Julie were so easy to work with! This team hit it out of the park! THANK YOU!

We recently stayed several days at this venue, with a wedding party. First off, the grounds are…read moreabsolutely lovely. Unfortunately, everything else was subpar. When we arrived, we couldn't help but notice how filthy this place was. There were cobwebs in every room, including the bedrooms. There was filth behind the pedestal sink, in our room as well as others and the floor beneath the trundle bed had not been vacuumed in ages. The windows, kitchen floor, oven range hood, range top and dishwasher were filthy. I had to wash the coffee maker because it had old dried out coffee grounds inside. The kitchen floor was so filthy, I wiped up a small bit of water, with a paper towel and was nearly black. The oven would not close properly, which rendered it nearly useless. We were only able to use it by propping a trach can against the oven door, to keep it closed. The seal, for the freezer drawer, was literally hanging out of the bottom of the drawer. There were no dish towels and insufficient washcloths, bath towels and face towels for guests. Several bedroom smoke alarms still had the yellow "REMOVE TO ACTIVATE" plastic strips in them, which meant they were inoperable. I removed those strips, from several smoke alarms, only to find the batteries were dead and expired 22 months earlier. The pool was too cold to swim in. It was supposed to be heated and it was not. We had to request paper towels for the restrooms, in the reception hall, because both dispensers were empty. Several guest rooms smelled of sewer gas. We contacted the owner regarding the odor however, maintenance personnel were unable to resolve it. For the prices this place charges, they should be ashamed.

If you are looking for an intimate venue for a small wedding (around 50 people), this is your place! The two women who helped decorate for our reception were absolutely phenomenal. The entire staff was extremely kind, genuine, flexible, and helpful from start to finish. They gave us the freedom to decorate however we wanted and helped make our vision come to life. My husband and I had the best time ever, and our guests had an unforgettable night. It's the perfect space to make lifelong memories. I cannot recommend The Chandelier Room enough!
