Food~My Family and I went after church service. I ordered the Garlic Shrimp Fettuccine (piping hot/flavorful) (each main course is served with) a choice of soup or side salad, up charge for a Caesar salad (super fresh w/blue cheese dressing) and a choice of 2 flavored ice creams. Service~ We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress was very sweet and, she was very attentive. Always made sure our waters stayed full, brought out another loaf of bread and, asked a few times does everything taste the way we imagined. Ambiance~ Very good vibes, lighting is just right, clean restrooms, and plenty of parking! I ate here 5 years ago and, it was just ok. But, I feel the best time to come visit is during early afternoon it was really good!!!

I love the Old Spaghetti Factory, it's so nostalgic for me. We went on my birthday which fell on a Monday this year and were surprised at how busy they were. The hostess mentioned that they were swamped and we noticed everyone was pretty busy. Despite the chaos, we still received great service and the food was so good. It's also it's about a 10 minute walk from the OHSU aerial tram, which was a perfect stop for sunset afterwards. I recommend making a reservation even if you think you won't need one, it sounded like unexpected weekday rushes are fairly common here.

Nice place for lunch or a lunch meeting. They validate parking in their private lot. The food variety is good and I have enjoyed both visits recently on the waterfront. They have a cool train car inside that you can sit inside to eat your meal. Service has been wonderful each time.

Secure, free parking, classic food, good prices and fun! I remember coming here as a kid, and thinking it was the fanciest place I've ever been. Those big double doors, chandelier and trolley car--what a great experience, and it's exactly how I remember it. For a holiday lunch, we got the managers special, chicken Alfredo, regular Alfredo and the classic Mizithra cheese. Each item comes with soup or salad and ice cream. Tell me this, where can you get three courses and free hot, crisp bread for like $20-25 a person? Like only here. Also, a giant, almost too big wine for $23 (6 nice glasses, wow). This is a great place for dates, groups, kids especially! Service is friendly and they have it down to a science. I really hope that you'll give this place a go or if you've been give it another go.

We came here during the protests just last night. No issues at all with the protestors, they were fine. We got seated quickly since we had a 5 pm reservation. I got the house salad with ranch, minestrone soup, and the meat sauce spaghetti. The salad was very fresh and yummy, the minestrone had tons of veggies and also flavorful. For my main, I got the classic meat sauce spaghetti and of course that was simple yet delicious. Our waiter was kind and I love the atmosphere. The only complaint was the women's restroom started flooding and it smelled of sewage :/ I would definitely come back!

Back in Portland's golden age, the Old Spaghetti Factory on the Willamette was a slice of magic. Those grand, old-school windows framed a city glowing like a dream, with the riverwalk shimmering gold. The service? Pure charm-waiters gliding like old-school crooners, refilling wine glasses with a wink and a smile, serving up steaming plates of spaghetti with flair. Every bite of that iconic blue-cheese dressin', every twirl of pasta, sparked memories of cozy Sunday suppers and clinking crystal. Those dazzling chandeliers, velvet booths, and panoramic views? Unforgettable. Grab a table, let the spag feed your soul, and let their timeless hustle keep you hooked. Oh, Spag, you outshine the stars-stay forever.

Came here with a party of 8 and the server was great. Prices were a bit high for basic pastas. Highly recommend the large broccoli side, we were able to split that between 4 of us with our pasta. Solid classic pasta dishes and good for large parties.

What a great place to take your family, especially young kids. The atmosphere at this OSF is awesome. The kids loved their spaghetti & meatballs. The garlic shrimp fettuccine I ordered was very good. We'll definitely be back.

Three hours here. I came with a group of 12 for a reunion dinner. After waiting for some time we finally ordered. We then waited for our soup/salad, then our entree, then our ice cream. Thank the lord we had bread. But also we got full on bread before any of our food made it to the table. Slowest service ever. It was a lovely dinner of catching up but if I was with people I didn't like, I would've walked to the kitchen to make the food myself. I don't think we should've been there for 3 hours for our dinner service to be completed. It wasn't even busy either on a Sunday night. The soup wasn't great. The lobster and crab ravioli was good and filling. The ice cream was good too. But jeez the service was so slow.

The food was very good... we have just returned from Italy so we are a little jaded. Pasta was good but not great. Our servers were wonderful and the restaurant is in a beautiful setting with n the river. We were a big group and they really took care of us. Great value and very pleasant evening.

My waiter was the best! Super friendly and helpful. I didn't have any expectations since it's a chain restaurant. Surprisingly the garlic bread was damn good! Patio view of the river was so relaxing. This was a perfect way to end my trip to Portland.

Dearest gentle readers,…read more A most scandalous correction must be issued how careless of me. The establishment in question is none other than the divine Grassa, a name that now rolls off the tongue with the same richness as its most indulgent fare. And oh, what fare it is. Here, along the lively stretch of Portland, one may witness noodles brought to life before their very eyes fresh, authentic, and handled with a confidence that borders on audacity. These delicate strands are then enrobed in a mac and cheese so decadently composed, so brazenly elevated, that it dares to redefine comfort itself. And just when one believes it cannot be improved enter the pig belly. Crisp, tender, and unapologetically rich... a finishing touch that transforms the dish into something whispered about in only the most exclusive of circles. Yes, dear reader, this is the sort of indulgence that lingers long after the final bite... the kind that ruins lesser versions without remorse. And so, with that final truth properly set, I take my leave once more. The tales of this fair city draw to a close, but not without leaving behind a most delicious legacy. Until our next adventure ever eastward. Yours most faithfully,

My personal favorite is the squid ink pasta with scallops - I've ordered this one a few times and it always slaps. Don't skip the focaccia. The bread with their olive oil is simple but truly unforgettable. The cocktails are consistently great, the atmosphere feels on brand without feeling stuffy like olive garden, and it's perfect for a date night, anniversary dinner, or catching up with friends.
