The food is alright and the ice cream is amazing but the customer service is horrible!!! The server gave us the wrong order so I took it back and the owner asked me why I didn't address it while the server was still at the table giving us our food, as if it were our fault for their mistake, so I told her I didn't realize it until she walked away. What an interesting place. And good food! We live in the San Diego area but had some things to do in Porterville. We ate here at lunch two days in a row. It is so good. The lunch specials are great with sandwich, chips and ice cream (our group tried the Tri Tip, Turkey and and a few others. I thought the Veggie was perfect). The ice tea is good too. This place seems to be popular with the locals as the crowds kept coming. We will go back the next time we are there in a month. Yummy stuff and great service too! read more

We had two bad delivery experiences at two different schools last year. It took over an hour for our order to be corrected and delivered. But first I had to talk to several employees who were rude and said there was no way my order could have been wrong. Later in the year they delivered the food 1.5 hours early and the ice cream melted before the team could eat it. I do love the ice cream. read more

So I've gone to this place quite a few times...but today was the first time I was disappointed. I felt like a change so I tried their Tri-Tip sandwich...there was literally one piece of Tri-Tip on a huge roll...when I complained the woman that I spoke with got extremely "snarky" and stated that the meat is weighed and everyone gets the same thing. This is a great small-town gem that I've been going to since I was still living in Lindsay! Owned by the family of a good childhood friend, this place has come a long way from my early visits in 2002! The daily ice cream is always Orange, which Lindsay and Tulare County is so well known for! They also have another changing ice cream made each day, from banana to my personal favorite: pomegranate. They offer some really great sandwiches for lunch, and it's a cool little place to go on any day. Wish they opened 7 days a week! read more

They have this orange soft serve ice cream that is deeeelish!! It is smoth like ice cream but it has a nice orange flavor, sometimes with pulp and seeds! It is kinda like a mix between soft serve and sherbet I guess for those who haven't tried it yet. They make it in house and never talk about the ingredients, they say it's a secret. The only thing is this place closes at 4PM and I think they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. They are off 65 between Lindsay and Porterville. read more

This is one of my weekly spots and for the past couple of times we have called to order the females that answer the phone are very snappy and kinda rude ... For such a known and liked place I think the employees should be a little bit more respectful, I get sometimes it can be noisy but in no way should a customer be snapped at by employee. read more

Obviously a town favorite in the middle of nowhere, the place was packed. There's not a lot of options for food outside of gas station marts so this was a VERY welcomed discovery. The vegetarian sandwich was delicious, but the orange ice cream is definitely their thing. If you're heading up to or just leaving The Sequoia park this is an excellent place to stop. read more

You wouldn't expect much from this place if you went by appearance alone, but it's great! You have to get the lunch special, because it comes with their homemade softserve, which is the best thing on the menu. They always have orange, but also a flavor of the day. I had lime and orange. Holy shit, best freaking ice cream ever! The orange is so fresh and sweet yet tart with the perfect consistency! If you could squeeze and process a frozen orange you still couldn't get any better than this! The coffee ice cream was so flavorful and strong! Oh my freakin goodness! It was the first time that we ordered delivery and the service was horrid. We asked them to read off our order twice and they read it off wrong and over charged us. We called back to ask for clarification toward the order and they refused. The order came out was $60 that was over charged to the order, we once again asked for clarification and they refused. We calculated the same order multiple times to get the same take out order price. They also refused to cancel the order and order from us ever again. I stopped in to try this place because of all the good reviews. I tried the tri tip sandwich meal that comes with a sandwich, chips, and Jr. size ice cream. First off I was bummed that the only chips the offer are plain Lays. They could at least offer 2 types or maybe kettle chips instead of plain Lays. The sandwich is served on a dusty bolillo style roll which was tasty. Unfortunately the roll was the best part of the sandwich. It had exactly 1 small leaf of lettuce and some tasteless tomatoes. I'm not sure who's work boot they carved the tri tip from but it was the toughest piece of meat I've ever had I think and it was pretty tasteless to boot. It was a 100 degree day and it was hotter inside than outside in the shade. This place is always busy but from my experience I can't see why. They don't have much of a menu and the other meat options are just run of the mill lunch meat not even a top shelf brand. There are much better options in Porterville or Exeter so unless you are craving orange ice cream, which is tasty and the reason I gave 2 stars and not 1, do yourself a favor and drive past this place. read more
