I love this place. They have really good food, service is always really great. However, today going through the drive thru I placed my order and specifically said "No lettuce." As you can see on the receipt it clearly says "NO LETTUCE." So, as disappointing as it is to have hot wilted lettuce on hot food, it appears as though No= more? Stopped in during my visit to Phoenix. Found this spot while driving and it just happened to be that it was right what I was craving, Mexican food. This place has a drive thru! A full menu of deliciousness. I grabbed a carne asada burrito (beans, sour cream, carne asada, cheese, guca) + hand rolled tacos. Those hand rolled tacos never made it home. Finally tried their Taco Tuesday. First they charge $1.99 for side of sour cream. Second, the first hard shell taco I had was like mushy dog food. Wife felt like Fish Taco and wanted to try this place. She usually doesn't like Mexican food but what the heck. We each got a large fountain drink and she ordered the Fish Taco with extra onion. Listen, I was extremely tired and hungry when I ate here on Labor Day. I had driven 420 miles from ABQ to Phoenix, it was late, and I needed a meal. This place was close to the hotel, had a drive thru, and wasn't McDonalds. So, I went here. Pulling up, there were only a few cars in the drive thru. I figured it would go fast, but it didn't. It was a slow moving line. The gal took my order, and she was fine, but man, these guys need to step on it. I went with the tacos because I was famished, a pop and my friend got a breakfast burrito along with a drink. Total damage? $22 for both of us. That isn't actually to bad, which is about $11 a person. The presentation of the food was good, but I wasn't overly impressed with how it tasted. I should have gotten salsa and asked for sour cream, but the meat tasted a bit dry to me. The guacamole was nice and there was some spice to the food, but not the best I've ever had by far. I've been coming here for over a year. It was Saturday night, around 10:30 pm and I was craving chips and melted cheese. I specifically asked for CHIPS and Melted CHEESE. I got this mess. I come here so much for many reasons, but of course the main reason... IT IS DELICIOUS! My only regret this very moment is I have not been taking pictures of all the foods I have tried from here. I tend to do take out, because this location is near my job so I tend to do a pick for a few people and lose track of my food picture taking. So what I will do is tell you about the foods I have tried: Bean and cheese burrito - the tortilla is soft (possibly homemade) the beans are cooked perfectly and the cheese is fresh Chicken flautas with rice and beans - rolled tacos are crunchy as expected, the chicken is tender and you can tell freshly made everyday, guacamole has right amount of seasoning and made with fresh avocados (i know I'm an avocadoholic I have the shirt to prove it) lol Surf n turf burrito - Wow the combination of the carne asada with the shrimp is perfect! Their chipotle sauce gives it an excitement of taste. I ask to have the French fries on the side instead of inside the burrito and it also has their tasty guacamole inside Shrimp tacos - sooo good the shrimp is very fresh and they have deals on their fish and shrimp tacos on Wednesdays Those are the only things I have tried so far, but as I try more I will update and I will also promise to get pictures next time. Do not sleep on Señor Taco! On the outside, a quaint little taco shop like any other. Inside, some of the absolute best shrimp tacos I've had the privilege to eat. A rock solid Asada plate, and all the essentials you would come to expect from your favorite Mexi-zona establishments (except better!) I loved their salsa bar and their shrimp tacos were top-tier. I ordered 10 tacos from the drive thru Tuesday night for the first time because my family was craving tacos, and they had a deal for $1.50 each. When I got home and looked through the food, I realized that they shorted my order, and I was too tired to go back. Bummer. The tortillas were laid flat in a to go container with the chicken, a ton of raw onion, and cilantro just scooped on top. I had to make the tacos myself. The food itself was ok. Okay, it's located in a building that once was Jack in The Box so you know you're not here for the atmosphere, indoor seating is incredibly limited so good luck during the summer, but the food is pretty decent and your money goes a long way here. This place is also ridiculously busy, both ordering at the counter and at the drive-thru, so do yourself a favor and park on the east side of the lot to avoid being blocked in by the insane drive-thru line. Now let's talk about food, babie! It's fresh and hot and the portions are huge. One burrito is easily two meals for me. Still hungry? Get the Señor Burro! The menu said it was "mucho big" and mucho big it was. It was seriously the whole length of my forearm and surprisingly, everything held up well and tasted just as delicious as my smaller burrito. Your exterior, is nothing like what I remembered in Goodyear, you seem smaller here, accommodating most guests on the patio or serving them through the drive thru, but beauty is only skin deep and well, inside, you're just as amazing as I remembered: always generous (with portions), offering up tasty, tasty variety, and always tempting me with those cinnamon chips which I swear, are calling my name.
