Clean place, amicable staff, and great service. Highly recommend visiting! Great tasking food

The entrance and how it says it's open Monday through Sunday from 9 am to 9pm

I came on a Wednesday at 10:13am and they were not open yet online and their sign says open at 9 am.

Yucca Fritta: Called "yuca frita" in Peru, it is fried cassava (yucca), often served as a side dish or snack, similar to French fries.

Puro Sabor, Pero Mal Servico Let me tell you, the food at Puro Sabor was pure flavor--puro sabor--but the service? Well, that was a different story! Imagine this: I sit down, ready to dive into some delicious Peruvian food, and I notice there are no prices on the menu. So, I ask the waitress, and her solution? "Look on Google." Yep, you heard that right, Google! Feeling a bit adventurous, I asked again, and she confidently says, "Don't worry, I know the prices in my head." Well, I don't know about you, but I prefer my prices on the menu, not stored in someone's brain! When I mentioned I wanted to speak to someone about the menu, she passed the buck with, "You'll have to talk to the manager." Meanwhile, I'm sitting there thinking, "Is the manager also on Google?" To be honest, I've had way better service at Chio's Peruvian Restaurant, where they're on top of things--prices included! The staff there makes sure you're well taken care of, no Google search required. All that said, the food at Puro Sabor? It was delicious. If only the service had matched the flavor!

Got the food to go but it was all delicious! Definitely recommend Papa a la Huancaina. I also got the Tallarines Verde con Bistec yum! There was also this green sauce that came with the meal it was very tasty a little spicy at first but I adjusted. The portions were decent for the price I feel.

My favorite Peruvian restaurant in the valley. So authentic and delicious. Wonderful service. I always get the lomo saltado & an Inca cola. Perfection.

One of the best Peruvian spots in the valley! Been coming for years and the food always delicious. Plus, the service is a 10/10.

I made it in around noon so it wasn't packed. My waitress was pleasant and attentive. For starters, I had bread with chimichurri sauce and water. The chimichurri had a really good taste to it but the bread was not served warm. 3/5 I was craving a sangria so I ordered their red sangria. The drink was so refreshing and tasted delicious. Reminded me kind of like Hibiscus water but much better. 5/5 For my dineLA options: I chose the beef empanada 5/5 Delicious flavors of ground beef seasoned well and the empanada had a great texture to it with each bite. My favorite out of the entire course. For the main plate: (Food came out quick) I went with the "NY Champignon" a 6 ounce NY steak medium well done for me, (but over cooked) served with grilled zucchini and mash potatoes. The meat tasted low quality in my opinion, and the sauce was ok- nothing memorable. The sides were also not the best tasting; to me the zucchini was not fresh. The mash potatoes were plain nothing extreme that would make me want them again. I was disappointed in what was served today. Didn't even finish the veggies or mash potatoes. For my dessert: I went with the flan- the slice was thick and huge and they added a small side of caramel and whipped cream. The flan was not too sweet but also not outstanding. 3/5 I've been here before and I could swear my experience was way better than today. Instead of serving low quality on the dineLA weeks, you should try to impress the customer or make their experience worthwhile. That way they do come back eagerly to spend money at the restaurant. This was not the case for me. The expectations were low. The ambiance was not as expected, I was seated in the middle of two family parties which was not ideal for me. But can't beat the price $25 for that meal course plus dessert. The sangria was $10.

I could tell from the moment that we were led into the dining room and saw the big grill in the back that this was going to be a fun evening! Before we even ordered, we were offered a cup of vegetable broth as a starter. The broth was excellent, and appreciated despite it being a hot and humid day. I suspect that the composition varies based on the kitchen scraps, but we all agreed that it was great. After the broth, the waiter stopped by to walk us through his recommendations and some background about the restaurant. Even though we were doing Dine LA, he was able to give us some suggestions on pairings, and I apprecaited how he walked us through each item as it was brought to the table. For the first course, we tried both the torta frita with cashew butter, and the chipas with tomato butter. I was impressed with how everythign was thorugh out - the dishes, the butter knives carved out of single pieces of wood. The flowers that popped on the otherwise plain cashew butter, the (if memory serves) toasted buckwheat seeds on the tomato butter. You eat with your eyes first, and mine were feasting while they were laying everything out! The cashew butter was slightly sweet with the honey, and it paired well with the crispy torta. Spreading the butter was a bit awkward, but we made it work. The toamto butter was likewise great. With both breads and butters, what I loved most was actually the combinations of textures. There was thought given to how the ingredients paired together. The crispy torta, for exmaple, was paired with the smooth cashew butter, while the soft chipa was paired with the "crunchy" tomato butter. The second course was likewise impressive. We mixed and matched a number of different appetizers. I can't speak for the empanada (it was devoured before I could try it!), but the hamachi crudo was fresh, tasty, and delicate, and it was fun to watch them pour the sauce on tableside. What was most impressive, however, was the burnt avocado salad, which has the most unique preparation thad I had ever seen. What looks like an unpeeled avocado is actually a peeled avocado that has been charred so that the blackened surface resembles an avocado skin! The char on the fatty avocado paired well with the bitter salad greens and the vinagraite. The crispy onions and candied lemon bits sprinkeld through out were barely visible yet added delightful little flavor bombs and some texture. For the third course, each of the entrees was excellent. Two of us ordered steaks, and I noticed that they didn't ask us for our desired doneness. While some might be squeamish, I appreciated they made the call to serve the meat how they thought was best. Their choice delivered. The steaks were great, tender and well seasoned, and with no strong herbs or spices to hide behind. That said, I tried a bite of the short rib, and I think that was even better! Someone else ordered the pork and paired it with the peppers per the waiters suggestion, and that combiantion was delightful. At the end of the meal, we decided to get deserts, which weren't included with the Dine LA. We ordered a "Ode to DDL" which was basically like a dulce de leche version of molten chocolate cake. Our second desert was a chocolate & Sabayon. I didn't read the menu description carefully enough and didn't realize that the foam... icing? topping? would have a liquor added to it. On its own it was a bit much, but together with the chocolate and the caramel it worked well together. Speaking of which, I attached a photo, but the desert came with a massive piece of caramel crisp that was a lot of fun to break with a spoon! Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. The food was great, the staff was fun, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the whole restaurant was thoughtfully put together. It was a little pricey, but I think the experience was worth it. We're already planning our next trip back!

We had the cheese bread, the crudo, and empanadas for starters. They were fantastic. The decor of the restaurant is also really nice.. For mains, we had the rock cod which was good, but challenging to eat since it had a lot of bones. But the peppers were great. The avocado salad was good. The only dish that was so so were the artichokes. They just didn't have much flavor. Cocktails were terrific. Service was top notch, it's always nice to watch people work who are great in their job.

I would highly recommend the Baleada, it's just a handmade flour tortilla with bean & cheese, it sounds basic, but trust it's pretty good. Perfect for any occasion. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Finally I got the Carne asada plate, which I will say from the times I've been here. It never misses, always nicely cooked, seasoned to perfection, perfectly paired with these fried plantains called "Tajadas" topped with a creamy mayonnaise/thousand island type dressing. It's just a well-balanced plate. Sweet, savory, tangy and creamy! everything complements each other perfectly. My biggest complaint would be customer service, these waitresses don't know the first thing about good service, they don't know how to treat their customers, they come out as rude. We enjoyed the empanadas, I think for our group of 5 we ordered at least 20 empanadas and 3 plates to try. I asked a man behind the counter I need a order for 2/3 dozen on Sunday around 12pm. He said not a problem, I should call Sunday at 10 to place the order. I asked "are you sure" he responded it would only take 20 minutes. Problem number 1: No one was answering the phone Sunday morning, I called multiple times. Problem number 2: It take forever to place the order via the website AND there is a superfluous "support local fee" that cannot be opted out. I want this refunded. As someone who invited the group to dinner there Wed where we spent at least $150ish to my order for Sunday around $170, how dare a "support local fee" be added that could have been avoided if someone answered the phone. Problem number 3: The order was 30 mins late. Lack of personal awareness regarding your capability to answer phones and prepare orders on time is a problem. My first and second experience was so vastly different, beyond disappointing, on a day where I am putting things together to host a party it caused unnecessary stress I sent an email and didn't hear back and wanted to post my experience.
