For a few years I have given Hideaway Pizza in Stillwater another try , time after time but it continues to fail in leaving up to the orginal owners 20yrs ago and is not even in the same league as the Hideawy in Norman or Tulsa which are 10x better. The ingredients are not as fresh as others, cheese is worse, toppings not as tasty, crust tastes totally different. IDK how a franchise can taste so much different than other great tasting ones, but the Stillwater location is the worse. The fried mushrooms is the only reason it gets 2stars as the pizza is 1star at this location (5star at others) read more

Great pizza. Food came out fast despite how busy they were. Close to campus and convenient location.

I give only three stars because the pizza was quite undercooked. Perhaps some people prefer this kind of pizza? Mushrooms were basically raw on top of the pizza. And especially the crust was underdone, chewy on the inside. And the pizza was room temperature, barely heated. The fried mushrooms were delicious. read more

We came here late Saturday night. It was after 10 when we arrived with a group of 8. I felt bad since they closed at 11. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We ordered a couple of pizzas and a pitcher of beer. The beer was ice cold. The supreme pizza had the right amount of cheese with lots of fresh topping. The crust was good. The cheese pizza looked really good. I didn't try a slice but everyone else in our party raved about it. We stayed past 11 pm but the staff never rushed us. Right up to the point that we left the staff remained courteous and professional. I would come back again, but next time a little earlier. read more

We visited some dear friends in Stillwater Thursday (8/22). They ordered pizza for lunch and it was delivered. They payed, tipped and opened the boxes. It sadden us to discover that the crust on two of three pizzas was burned black. It embarrassed our friends to serve us these pizzas but I made excuses for y'all. Why would you deliver these burned black pizzas to a customer's home that you couldn't sell in the restaurant? Menu looks great and offers variety including several yummy salads! Veg options which is appreciated and service was quick and friendly. However, for a college town with hospitals near capacity and ICU's primarily full of unvaccinated covid patients, I was shocked to see only one staff person with a mask on! We decided to have a family Christmas gathering at Hideaway in Stillwater. We made reservations for the back room and to have the specialty buffet for 41 family members. There was a little communication error on how many people would be there and the manager did a great job in accommodating us. The pizza, mushrooms, cheese sticks were all delicious. The cooks and wait staff did an excellent job also. The family had an excellent gathering. Nothing is better than the original Hideaway. read more

After being told the Hideaway here is *the* original and different than the ones in the Oklahoma City metro, I was eager to see what the fuss was about. Husband and I came on a busy day but didn't have to wait for a table. We were seated and greeted fairly quickly and ordered a large Pizza Supreme. One of the things we like here better than the other locations is the dough--it's softer and even a little crispier. The toppings were just average. I like sausage on pizza but definitely like it in larger pieces than the crumbles that were on the pizza we ordered. It was kind of a struggle to get our server to check up on us as there were a few things we wanted, like ranch for dipping, refills, and a to-go box to put our leftovers in. This Hideaway is simply a Stillwater staple but I think I may prefer the others. I know it's hard to judge an entire place based on one order and one pizza. But the large is very generous and good easily feed 4 people. read more

We were gifted with a $20 off coupon and ordered a medium Five Cheese pizza (which was about $20, yikes!) We we're expecting top quality, elevated taste to match the cost of the pizza... and it was mediocre. Dominos pizza tastes better to us. From the cheese, the dough, and even the sauce. Maybe we just order the wrong thing to try out the place... but it didn't leave us wanting to go back to try anything else. The cost of the food doesn't help us want to go back either. If the taste matched the cost, it would be worth it. Yummy - we had a couple bottles of wine and they were great!! Appetizers...OMG THE GOUDA MAC AND CHEESE BITES WERE AWESOME!! Get them for sure!! We also had the cheese bread - it was also a huge hit!! Love love love!! The cheese sticks were good as well, kids loved them! Finally we had some spinach dip - very good as well. Then we ordered pizza - BBQ Chicken pizza was very good - a lot of chicken!! The pepperoni pizza was also very good - those who ate it loved it! We drove to Stillwater from OKC to go to the Original Hideaway. My husband swears the pizza is lots better than at the other Hideaways. It was mom's weekend for OSU so I was afraid we wouldn't get in. It was really busy but they were able to find us a free table fairly quickly. They were prepared for the crowd and had lots of workers there. Our waiter was great. He got our drinks immediately and then took our order. Hideaway is never really fast so I was happy when we got our pizzas in a decent amount of time. I ordered a Canadian Bacon/hamburger small pizza. It was lots more than I needed but leftover Hideaway is always good. The pizza was awesome. Just the right amount of toppings. Tons of cheese which I like. My husband ordered a double pepperoni. There was tons of pepperoni on it. I have never seen that much pepperoni on a pizza. He loved it. I should have taken a picture. You couldn't even see the cheese there was so much pepperoni. We both graduated from OSU so this is a nostalgic place for us to go to. It was a little loud but it was cram packed full. It is almost always busy. Very popular place to go because the pizza is so good. If you are ever in Stillwater, you should try it. read more

We had to visit the "original" Hideaway while visiting OSU. It was Orientation for the incoming Freshman class. Thankfully it wasn't too hard to get seated for lunch. Service was a bit spotty which is not what we are used to from Hideaway where we come from. We didn't have a lot of time before we had to return to our meetings. We normally get the Paradise Pie and it never disappoints. Interesting; and it worked out, but not the service and quality we have come to expect from this franchise. read more

Good pizza but it's overrated and expensive. There's always a long wait though. It's not student budget friendly whatsoever. It can be a fun place to go on game day if you don't mind waiting. The bowls are small... too small... but they pile on the salad fixings... You may need to ask for extra dressing. Play a game of Pente and check out the cool murals and the kite collection adorning the walls. Great music adds to the fun atmosphere of this place, and the staff will make sure you are taken care of.
