I ordered the meatball sub and a small soda. 17$ and I couldn't eat it all. I tried to finish half to have food in my belly lol but it just wasn't enjoyable. I'm giving it one star for the bread. I'm from New York where they had the Original Soupman Stores. I really enjoyed how hearty there soups were. This location is small and unfortunately did not meet the mark the last time i stayed at the casino for a quick bite. When you're staying at Mohegan Sun you expect great quality food but unfortunately this was not the case. Soup was very watery no flavor highly disappointed only restaurant so far I did not like at the casino. Thankfully this restaurant is now closed. read more

I wonder if the serve hamburgers? When I want something lite I come. It's a nice little place that serves nothing but soup and sandwiches with a couple of salads. Now it's nothing special but it's quick and simple. And remember sometimes simple is best. I got clam chowder and this time a meatball sandwich. Clam chowder was fine nothing spectacular but good on a cold night. The meatball sandwich wasn't anything special either. The marinara sauce soaked through the bread and became a mess really quick. It's because I let the sandwich sit while I was enjoying the soup. I think if I dug into it quicker it would have been better or if the bread was toasted longer it would hold up more. While at Mohegan Sun on 2/16/2020, I made the choice of getting a couple of sandwiches here for my Girl and I. Big mistake! It was later in the evening so options are limited there. So I order a corned beef Ruben, my girl orders a turkey and cheese sub with no tomatoes. The 2 sandwiches and one drink comes to about $27.00. Total rip off!. Took about half an hour to make the food. The servers where nice younger people. Just moving slow. Get to our room to eat and the sandwiches are terrible! The corned beef in the Ruben is like beef jerky. Too salty and dry. I ate a few bites and through it away. My girls turkey sub had tomatoes LOL! But the sub itself was a lot better than mine. But not $13.50 good. Avoid this place when you go to Mohegan. read more

Terrible, the lobster bisque literally tasted like warm water. I've never had soup with NO taste.

About a week ago I went to the NYC location and it was by far the best soup I have ever had! I was really craving some of this deliciousness yester day and said what the heck let me drive to this location, which was 43 miles out of my way. Yes that is how good the soup was at the NYC location. So I arrived and was immediately disappointed that they has a super limited selection of soup. What was even more disappointing to me was the quality of the soup, it did not taste like it was fresh. Nevertheless, I decided to settle on a soup (the Squash and apple soup) I mean after all I had to order something after that drive. I decided to order a quart of it. Here is where it gets good, the cost $21.00 FOR A QUART OF SOUP! A quart of soup that was not even fresh! The kicker, they give you a piece of bread that is sliced as thin as it could be and crackers! Well let me say, when I went to the NYC location, I ordered a quart of soup and a pint of soup and paid about the same amount, got fresh bread, crackers, two pieces of fruit, 2 pieces of chocolate a col looking bag and utensils not to mention the best soup I have ever had! How is it possible for two of the same franchises to be so different. I am so disappointed with this Connecticut location and will never go here again! read more

Let's just say the food court was crazy when we went. This line was the shortest so we thought it would be the fastest. When we got to the counter to order we were told they were out of half the menu such as the pulled pork, meatballs, hotdogs etc. We ordered a turkey club at the end of all of this. Our order ticket said 6:53 and we watched the one guy making sandwiches leave the half made turkey club for a solid 10 minutes on the counter until finally topping it with the last slice of bread. The women working their looked beyond miserable and I almost felt bad. When we finally got our sandwich it was 7:20 though it was done at 7:05. The only reason this place got two stars is because the turkey was actually pretty good. read more

My favorite go to side every time at Mohegan Sun before or after a concert or Bellator event. I always get the same thing the Eastside chicken sandwich. Melted provolone cheese, grilled chicken, lettuce and tomato with a honey dijon dressing on a toasted sub roll with a garlic sour pickles. $9.75. If you go on the weekend when there's an event and you go right before it starts you'll wait but it's definitely worth it. read more

Ick! Now staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. But the soup...Ick! I had broccoli and cheese and it's way better at Panera. When j got the charge card receipt, I figured out why the quality was lacking. It's not owned by Johnny Rockets. If the original guy were involved, I'm sure the quality would remain. But when a chain takes over, the love, care and quality, fly out the window for the profits. Now I did like the ability to simply get a soup while at Mohegan vs. a full on meal somewhere. The lobster bisque looked great in the pictures.It was bye far the worst lobster bisque I've ever had in a restaurant.There was a sour taste to the soup and NO lobster at all in the cup.Took the soup back and the girl did give me a chicken soup two replace the bad bisque. We went here while at Mohegan Sun a couple of days ago for lunch. I got the Hudson sandwich, which was steak and cheese, and my boyfriend got the turkey "thanksgiving" sandwich that had cranberry sauce on it. We shared and both sandwiches were great. Now this is at a food court so there is no service to comment on. I know it's Mohegan Sun, but over $20 for 2 sandwiches and 1 large coke to split, just to keep the bill reasonable. And nothing came automatically with the sandwiches (like chips or fries). But, I must say the meats were plentiful and hot, very tasty and the bread was pretty fresh. We were quite happy despite the price tag. I would recommend a sandwich here if you find yourself at the food court. read more

With the name 'Soup Man' they should really focus on the soup. The cup of lobster bisque for $8.50 is really a disappointment. It was separated with oil floating on top and had zero lobster and zero flavor. I almost paid for it in a bread bowl but am very glad I didn't because it's way too thin and watery to be put in a bread bowl. If they want to have subpar soup and serve cheese fries, meatballs, Greek salads etc...just change the name! I say take away all of the crap and focus on truly delicious HANDMADE soups! There are enough options in Mohegan for the other stuff. I ate here twice. The first time I had the chicken parmagiana sandwich and it was nice. I liked it. The second time I came here and it was bad. All my life I relied on a turkey sandwich as a safe choice to order when I am unsure. I felt it was impossible to screw up a turkey sandwich. After eating here, I can no longer say that. The Thanksgiving Day sandwich was gross. It had so much cranberry sauce that was all I could taste. My friend had the plain turkey sandwich and I tried a little turkey and it was gross. Whenever I try to come here there's always people in line taking forever trying to order and I can't help but think of Seinfeld and how all of these people would be left soupless and hungry if it was the real deal. But as for their soups, I wasn't really impressed. The lobster bisque was good and meaty, it actually had huge chunks of claws in it. But the minestrone was disgusting. Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. it was only 2 ppl working the line and it was super long. The guy making the sandwiches did not change his gloves btwn touching the food and dealing with customers. Also, his nails were disgustingly long which is super unsanitary. he changed his gloves by the time he made our sandwiches though so i was happy with that. Still, that boy needs to be groomed! $4.95 for a bfast sammich consisting only of whole wheat, cheese and an egg is freaking ridiculous. Tucked away inside the food court at Mohegan Sun.....today was probably my third or fourth time enjoying the "real soup nazi's" soup. had a bowl of the mushroom barley and it was very good. not a big bowl.....priced way too high but at the casino most folks seem to be using their "points"...so who really cares. They only give you a few packets of crackers to go with the soup...sort of bare bones. They also offer sandwiches and salads I think....but can't comment on those. perfect on a cold new England afternoon....when you want to do a quick re-fuel.... and run back to the blackjack tables in the casino of the earth. read more

Do not go! I have been a regular customer at your Mohegan Sun location for years. After today's experience, I will NEVER spend a dime nor will I encourage my friends and families to patronize. The way in which their 3 staff members behaved was deplorable!! They talked about sexual encounters, whistled at passing females , screaming out "happy sexy day". They even screamed out to me that they don't discriminate against age and they can "handle me". To top it all off they called each other by the "n" word at least 20 times, used the "f" word in the presence of a family sitting with children and A lot of other inappropriate language. The family, clearly disgusted moved. They also broke out in musical renditions that included expletives. This was done in a loud manner. So loud on fact, I continued to hear them as I traveled up the elevator. The soup Is not worth it. I would rather eat soup out of a can. Disgusting experience!! read more

It's about as good a microwaved food gets, I guess... I had a bad experience here a couple of weeks ago. I ordered their mac and cheese and they gave it to me cold. I was actually under the impression they had a warm batch but no it's microwaved. I hate the way microwaves cook to begin with (unevenly). That said I think it's a mortal sin for any food service place to use them. I can do that at home. If you can't cook on the spot, don't serve it, period. Anyway, I digress... After the second time getting the same mac and cheese served cold, I asked to get meatballs instead. Surely those had to be simmering in a warm pot, right? WRONG! Microwaved again! This time they were scalding hot on the outside and lukewarm in the middle... So typically microwave. They were okay tasting but after eating way better meatballs in the same price range at other well known places in Connecticut, I can only give these a two. Microwave starts them at three so I'm being somewhat merciful. I will not be eating here any more... Especially with Pepe's across the way. read more
