Worst customer service experience ever. It takes nearly a week for an order to be processed. When I found out that my order had not shipped 5 days after submitting (payment went through right away, though) I tried to cancel. At that point, I noticed that they had duplicated the order, as well, so I had to cancel both orders. I contacted the Orthotic shop through their web form from their official site. I also called and left several messages. 3 days later, the first order shipped after I thought they might read a message or listen to voicemail. I tried calling again and spoke to a human after several attempts. I was told their processing, shipping, customer service, etc. are performed by a third party, and that they had received no voicemails nor had the web form to email worked. They shipped everything and I must pay return shipping, as it is my fault. Later I received a message that they had responded to my emails and did receive my voicemails (there was no response to my emails, even in my spam and junk folders). I am trying to leave town and will now have to have a neighbor collect packages and try to get someone to complete this return within 45 days, plus pay for shipping on both orders, as they say it was me that placed the second order (it was not). This is precisely what I was trying to avoid. It is likely I will not return within their return window, so I have been robbed by the Orthotic Shop. Buyer Beware. I'm still not sure this is legit. Don't buy it unless you have a doorman!! My son's grandmother bought these boots as a Christmas gift but we've never received them. They arrived a day we were not home at the moment that I received an email it was delivered but I've never found them even though I asked all my neighbors. It was almost $90 and there wasn't even a note from the carrier that they missed us. I emailed them and explained the situation but they didn't help, they just said they don't have a policy that they'd resend lost orders. I'm not only angry but sad because his grandmom is from Turkey and his grandmother paid about 1700 Turkish Liras to buy this boot which is very expensive. First, it was hard to find something I liked in my size, but I did end up I ordering 5 pair of shoes for different occasion, that were showing available in my size, and an insert, that wasn't in my size but I'm trying to see how to make it fit. My credit card charged for the 6 items. My order split between 5 shops. But then 2 were deleted from my order as unavailable and my money refunded back to my credit card. They came one a day for 4 days. Then one didn't fit and there was no support fo me at all. I had to return it, I am still waiting for a refund on that one. Overall, my experience wasn't that great. I purchased a pair of slippers from this company. When they arrived the right heel was faulty and would slip off of my heel. I called customer service and they said to return them. They are not wanting to reimburse me because they were worn! I tried them on INSIDE ONLY! I complained and they told me to call a phone number of their supervisor. The phone number only allowed messages and they are NOT calling me back. I checked with the BBB and there are numerous complaints very similar to mine!! The pair of sneakers I bought, which are 9E (and sadly made in China), do look larger than they feel once they are on the foot. However, the sole of the shoe is hard and rugged, making for a confident grip that's stable and solid while walking. The inside of the shoe is soft and caressing at all times, with enough space indeed, to insert an orthotic, if needed, without having to remove anything. The shoe strings are easy to lace and do not slip out. Altogether, this is an extremely comfortable pair of sneakers, especially for sensitive, achy feet since they support the foot in every way to avoid any discomfort. I bought this footwear 1/2-inch larger than I usually wear just to ensure a proper fit since I was told black shoes, no matter if they're 9E or not, tend to be more narrow due to the dyes used in making them. I bought a pair of the Spira walkers from the Orthotic Shop, wore them walking ONCE, the tongue was digging into my ankles and was very uncomfortable. I called customer service to return them and explained what had happened. She issued me a return label. No mention was made that they resell the returned shoes. I tracked the return and they received the shoes back on 11/5 and I did not receive any notification as of 11/10 so I called them to get a status update. I was told that they denied the return because the shoes were 'worn' and they couldn't resell them. So, I'm out $128 for shoes I can't wear!!! I would not recommend doing business with this company since you are stuck if the shoes don't fit right. You would have to wear them around the house on carpet for a while so they would be in PERFECT condition or you won't get your money back. Danielle, the Director of Operations, told me I could 'break them in more'. I'm going back to Gravity Defyer - shoes I've worn for 8 years and did NOT have to break in! Ordered slippers before Christmas and still have not received. I believe that USPS has probably lost the package by now, no tracking update for the last week, and the package has only traveled about 30 miles since 12/21. They told me that USPS is pushing packages through manually, so there will be no tracking updates. My main concern is the lack of understanding by the staff at the shop when I emailed them. The only thing they say is to "please wait". I would love to order another pair of slippers from another company, (my feet are hurting me); but don't necessarily want 2 pairs of slippers, in case I cannot return these. I ordered something from another national brand, did not receive it within 2 weeks (just a week or two earlier than this order); and they promptly refunded my money when I told them I had no tracking information from USPS. Still have not received this package and don't expect to. Meanwhile, other packages from other companies have come through USPS with absolutely no problem at all; and with tracking info. (So not sure about their statement above). All I know is that I will not order anything from this company again, especially after reading all the negative reviews. I just lately purchased another pair, and they must have changed suppliers or something, but the same brand of shoe did not fit. I returned them because they were defective, and they charged me return shipping. When an item is defective the seller should pay for return shipping. I wouldn't buy from them again. read more

I had these same sandals years ago and except for the top strap I loved them. It cannot be tightened enough wear the sandal snuggly so over time it gets too loose and there is no way to fix it. I was hoping that when I bought these this time that problem would be fixed. It sure seems like a really easy fix when constructing the sandal and I know I can't be the only one who hates this part of the shoe. read more

Do NOT order from this store. I ordered shoes last October and had them returned them two weeks later. They insisted that it be an exchange, which I didn't want, as the shoes were for a family member in a nursing home in Florida. On 11/27/20, I cancelled the exchange and was told by a representative Dave that the return would be credited to my original form of payment. Four weeks later the shoes were delivered to Florida. Since then, I have been dealing with a manager, Danielle Broad, who insists that it is my fault that the shoes were not handled as refund. The issue is that they want these shoes returned, but my sister is now bedridden at a nursing so cannot return them. I live in NY so am not there to return. Yet this store INSISTS they are right. No problems with OS's placement of this order. At other websites, I could not find any wide sandals for my elderly father. The shipment arrived a little faster than I expected. Now the sandals are too wide for him but that was not OS's fault. He was measured at a shoe store and the width is due to a bone in his right foot, so his feet are swimming in this new sandal that is not adjustable. So we need to look harder at the selection. Adjustable sandals I saw elsewhere were out of stock in his size. The question is, should we/can we return these after a couple of days of wearing around the house? read more

The safety shoes I purchased were wide width, but because they feature a sock component and not a tongue, they were a little difficult to slide into. Once my foot is in though, they are pretty comfortable. I'm on my feet all day on mostly concrete floors, and I'm 59 with ankle and knee issues. These shoes needed little break-in and have worked out well for me. Using thinner socks has helped with entry and these will be perfect for the warm summer ahead. I got 9 wides, maybe could have gotten 9.5 but they may have been too loose. Overall I'm happy with the size, now that I've found the right socks. read more
