I'm a fan. This is only a few blocks from work. The prices were high, but it is a hotel restaurant inside the Omni in Downtown Dallas. So, no problem. I'd definitely linger around this place if I was staying at the hotel. The hostesses were polite. The waiter, I think Andrew, treated us to complimentary cheese dip (with bacon) and chips. I got the shrimp tacos and substituted chips for a Caesar salad - total $15. The portions were plenty. The tacos were really really good. The tortilla was warmed - and it was just a bit bigger than a street taco. I am too frugal to pay $3.50 for a soda, so I got good ole trusty ice water. I'd definitely go back for drinks or to watch a sporting event. The place has so many HUGE TV's. There are cozy booths. AND you know when you go to bars/restaurants and it always seemed impossible find a cozy pub table chair, but Owner's Box has the PERFECT pub table chair. This sports bar features huge TV's everywhere, and very good food, albeit a small menu. The waitresses are good, but don't expect the scantily clad uniforms that other sports bars offer... most likely due to this place being located in a hotel that hosts many corporate events. The Owners Box food was ok being we went after a Dallas game and again the next night. My husband loved their salad. The biggest issue is we had is our waitress obviously didn't want to be there. Our food took 45 minutes and she forgot the silverware. When she 'quickly' whipped around to leave our table. When I said, "excuse me," she IGNORED us! Thank goodness the manager walked by & helped us...When he left if I needed anything I got up and got help.... I hope she didn't have a problem with my ethnicity ( I try not to play that carbs but I couldn't think of why this lady had a difficult time serving us) -because, she was helping her other customers well. Conversation is easy to come by. Staff is attentive and friendly. Food is nothing to write about but tastes better after a drink. Outside seating if you want to get away from the noise. I went here for a drink last Saturday night and I was underwhelmed. First off there is no free parking. That is fine, I get it's a bar/hotel by the convention center but I refuse to pay 12$ to grab a drink for 1 hour. Once we got inside it was quite nice. Great ambiance, nice and trendy very well done. It definitely gave me high hopes for this establishment. We sat outside and after our server brought our drinks we did not see her again. The table next to us went in and found her so we did have an opportunity to get the check. After another 45 min we decided to track our server down so we could pay. At the end of the night we were at the bar for 2.5 hours and were only able to have one drink. Not too thrilled about the service. I hope the poor caliber service was due to the business of the establishment because if it is not I may never return. read more

Seating at the bar on a convention meeting was easy at 11:30am. Nice monitors all over to catch up with sports or Olympic games. Service was very quick. Stayed at the Omni hotel & The Owners Box was the happening spot. The food was great. I had the cajun shrimp tacos & some onions rings. Both were amazing. They were not skimpy on the shrimp. The onion rings were crispy & tasty. We ordered chicken nachos to share with our group & they were great. Although, if you ordered chips n salsa or cheese the chips were not all that good. No salt & not very crispy. The drinks were great too. But the most amazing thing there besides they attentive service was the BROWNIE SUNDAE!!! I thought I died & went to heaven. We lucked out and got a table across from the bar just as people were leaving, but the down side to that is that the seat was still WARM. Ick.... It was really WEIRD the people that were here. Everything from Ropers to Weightwatchers. I was trying to watch a game to avoid the girl talk going on, but there wasn't a good one on- even with all of those TVs. I have never been so infuriated in my life. I travel here to the Omni for at lease 1-3 weeks a month and I frequent this sports bar often. Today, I came in on a Saturday (which I never do) and I called ahead before my flight this am to make sure this bar has the PAC 12 network. The Cal v. Washington game was on and I wanted to watch. They told me on the phone that they, in fact, DO carry the PAC 12 network. So, I get off my plane and arrive at the hotel by half time. I check in and CAN'T WAIT to watch the game. I head to the bar and double check with the hostess: "you carry the PAC 12 network right?" The hostess responded like a smart ass saying "of course we do, we have 73 different TV screens." So, long story short, I sat at the bar and asked them to please play the game. They told me they would put it on as soon as some other "more important" games were over. Seriously?? 73 screens and you can't put ONE on the game I want? After a phone call and the hostess stand told me it would be on? 20 mins later (while watching the game on my phone) the manager comes up and says, I am so sorry but we do not carry that network. Information that would have been useful to me YESTERDAY. All in all, it's a decent sports bar but don't count on seeing anything or any game you want when you want it. There are 73 TV screens there, all of which must be dedicated to crappy Texas football teams. #yawn read more

Went here with friends last night for the first time for happy hour, and much to my surprise I left feeling blah. Pros: - nice decor - big screen tvs - nice waitress Cons: - $8 parking (unless you can find a meter) - drinks are horrible (just order soda or water) - had to fight gnats for my food. Overall the experience was not a good one. The gnats were unbearable, we literally had to order to go boxes, just to keep our food covered up. I think it may have been better otherwise. Every drink we ordered, was weak (and no we are not alcholics, lol). Even their long island ice teas tasted like juice. I ordered a cranberry/vodka and it tasted like nothing but cranberry. The waitress suggested that next time I order vodka with a splash of cranberry, but that it would be extra..WTH??? its the same damn drink, you just have to know how to make it. Not sure if we will go back, at least not as long as their feeding gnats!!!! read more

This place could be great if you are going just to watch some random sports or replays of some sports, but not if you are going to see something specifically. We called ahead of time and asked if they were going to be showing a boxing fight, which was on ESPN plus (side note ESPN has too many channels) and the host confirmed yes they would be showing it. NOT impressed with their brunch! For a high-dollar hotel's bar, this was the worst brunch I've seen. Only a few selections, including watery eggs, very little meat and a limited fruit selection. I love the atmosphere here. I would love to come with a group of friends and watch a game, I'm just not that into sports. If you are though this is the place. They have the hugest TVs and projectors surrounding the entire bar. I ordered the specialty margarita and thought it was absolutely delicious. The bartender was not stingy on her Patron pour. The beers are reasonably priced for an upscale sports bar. We decided for a light bite so we ordered the brisket nachos. The flavor was there, but we have never had such burnt brisket in our lives. It was more like beef jerky. It was as if that brisket had been sitting out for a full month. There were pieces we had to pick out of our mouth because we thought it was a bone or something. Nope, just dry as hell meat. That's all we tried here because we had an event at the Omni that night. We were just killing time. Restaurant is part of the Omni Hotel. I came here because I was at a volleyball tournament at the convention center and this place was a block away which I was able to walk in the crazy heat. This is one of better "hotel bars" I've experienced. It iiiis attached to the Omni, though, so who would expect less? Kind of on the swanky side for a "sports bar". I was in my friend's wedding at the hotel, and we had just finished a dance practice and had time to kill before the rehearsal dinner when I get a text to meet everyone down at the bar. When I get there, we have a table outside during some pretty perfect weather. We ordered a few beers and some appetizers and really just enjoyed some relaxing and socializing. We stopped in here one afternoon because it was right across from the convention center where we were spending our days. It was pretty busy, and it took quite a long time for our waitress to come over to us. I was pleased to see I could get a veggie burger, and once our order was put in, the food came out pretty quickly. Everything was very good, and the carnivores with me really enjoyed their meat-laden burgers. Service continued to be slow and unenthusiastic throughout our visit, but the worst part of the experience were the screaming women sitting right behind us. I get that this is sort of sports bar, but because of its proximity to the convention center and location inside of a fairly upscale hotel, the majority of the patrons were business people in quiet conversation. The group of women behind us were watching a Kansas basketball game (mind you, we're in Texas) and screaming and yelling at the game the whole time. Look, I get that you're excited about the game, but when you're in a restaurant full of people doing business, maybe tone it down a little. If you want to go scream at some random basketball game, go to a real sports bar or watch it in your hotel room. I can't fault the restaurant for that. The sheer number of tvs in this place is awesome, so if you are looking to watch a bunch of football games at the same time (or you're with a large group of people), then the Owner's Box is a great place to check out. As you probably know, The Omni Hotel is new in downtown, so the technology here is absolutely top notch and everything is super nice. I usually end up somewhere in the chaotic uptown area to watch football if I'm with with friends, but this is a nice change of scenery with a serious number of flat screens. In just about any seat in the house, you can easily see about 12 to 15+ tvs with a crystal clear view & that is something I can appreciate. The food here isn't anything to write home about. It is edible but nothing special. One word that comes to mind would be "lackluster", but if you're mainly just here to watch football and drink some adult bevs, then the food is simply a bonus. The drinks aren't particularly cheap either, but then again, nothing is really cheap in Dallas. So in a nutshell, if you're looking to do some serious sports watching in a futuristic environment and avoid the cluster of drunk idiots in uptown, then the Owner's Box is definitely worth a shot. read more

A friend wanted to come here to watch a game so I mentioned the next football game I wanted to watch and here we came. It's tough being an Ohio State fan in a state other than Ohio when it comes to watching games. It's usually the frustration that you are the only one who wants to see the game or someone else comes in and takes over your tv to have their game put on. We were seated right under their largest screen playing the big Texas game for the day, not ideal but we could see the game I wanted so I was okay with it. We ordered beer ($5) and were given these complimentary snacks (like a trail mix almost, little spicy, but good). But alas, my game was changed. Had to get the manager (I think) to change another tv. I content that 1. I was there watching that game before others came and sat down to change it. and 2. That he had a bit of an attitude about changing another tv for us. We eventually moved tables to accommodate our growing party and they were nice enough about it. We eventually ordered food to share...nachos with chicken, hamburger, and quesadilla. The nachos, in my opinion, were the best. The others were good but other places have good hamburgers and quesadillas. I'd go back but go early before your game and get a good seat. read more

You walk into this place and think to yourself "this is the coolest spors bar I have been in". It is a great scene - huge TV's, all over the place, great decor, hip and fun. Doesn't really have a sports bar feel to it, but it does feel like you are in the Owners Box. Lots of lounge style seats and feel. Not complaining about the ambiance or feel but the only sports bar feel is the multiple screens and the few HUGE big screens that kind of make it hard to focus at the rest of the smaller screens.. Had the sweet and spicy wings which is a good way to judge the food of any sports bar. They were goooood! They would have gotten 4 stars but the bartender tried to charge me an extra buck on the owners choice beer. It's not a lot of money but it's the principle behind it read more

This beautiful sports bar and grill located in the Omni hotel is quite an experience. Anywhere that has a large screen broadcasting a good football game, with dozens of other TV's around showing other games, in a clean, upscale environment, is a good thing to me. Even the bathrooms have TVs. I mean, come on, that's just cool. Our server, Haley, was incredibly nice, attentive, and never let our drinks get empty. The food was very, very good. I enjoyed the buffalo chicken flatbread pizza. The nachos were great, too. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because we had to pay for parking (yeah, I know to expect this in most big cities, but it still irks me) and the menu/drink prices are a little higher than I'd like. For three of us to have lunch food and some drinks came to around $120. But hey, if you're staying at the Omni, you can probably afford that. read more

I was in Dallas working an event at the Convention center and we landed in owner's box one night for dinner since it was so close. The amount of tv's this place has is nuts! There is even a tv in all the individual bathrooms. Great for watching games. All of the staff was super friendly and very attentive. Our waiter Eric was great and very personable. I would highly recommend the 75 yard line cocktail! Also the ranch dusted pretzel is a great appetizer to share. The turkey burger also very very good. read more

We were looking for a sports bar nearby in downtown Dallas to watch the UM game as we were in town for the cowboys game. Found this place through yelp and I loved it! Awesome sports bar located at the Omni hotel. Tons of TV's everywhere showing just about every sport that night. The service was amazing, wish I could give kudos to our server but don't remember his name. The food was delicious as well. We had the chicken quesadillas & the sweet & sour wings. Definitely the biggest and nicest sports bar that I have ever been to. You don't have to like sports to enjoy it, but if there is a game you want to see, it would be a pretty good place to watch it.
