We came here for the Super Bowl and the service started off amazing with our server Charday.. She went over and beyond the call of duty. I was simply amazed at how she accommodated us. I even told her manager Jamie I believe that she was superb. I wanted to try the Cajun shrimp first and she went and got ya both a small sample. Did I say OUTSTANDING service. I went with Cajun shrimp nachos and my friend went with the Cajun shrimp tacos. Before she left she introduced the new server and reassured us that we would be well taking care of. We spent over $100 and tipped extremely well. Now the Con: Charday left at 5pm and Lauren started her shift and she was the total opposite of Charday. She was inpatient and easily frustrated when I requested a follow up on some condiments that I requested. Fairly large sports bar at the Omni hotel. Big screens for the games and lots of seating. The apps were great and most of my companions really enjoyed their meals. We got queso dip, salsa and wings all were great. When my meal came I dipped my fries in the queso and was in heaven. I found the brisket sandwich a bit too salty but my friends who got the burger that is topped with it loved it so maybe that is the way to go. They have huge TV's, pool tables, nice bar and table seating, a nice outside eating area and cool customer service. I've tried the nachos and brisket fries, they both were yummy. I remember coming when they first opened, the menu has changed and the portions gotten smaller. The drinks are pretty nice, too. They are a little pricey but affordable enough, I get it...someone's gotta pay for that nice atmosphere. My sister and I went here for drinks to watch the March Madness tournament. We had a blast! The atmosphere and overall vibe was trendy but super chill. The menus look like a regular page out of a newspaper but are actually menus!! Lol, the drinks were really great, we ordered the red zone margaritas and they were very potent but tasted really great. I dined twice for lunch during the weekday as I was next door at the convention center for work. The first visit went pretty lame as we waited for a server to acknowledge us for about 15 minutes. We were actually gathering our things to leave when she finally saw she had guests. I suppose there was some major miscommunication with the hostesses and the waiter. Everything after that went pretty smoothly. My chili tasted actually pretty good, however the tortilla chips served with it was kind of weird. Either don't serve chips or go full Texan and serve some fritos! My colleague enjoyed his chipotle lime wings, which I ended up ordering the second visit. The second visit went smoothly, but the staff didn't clean up any empty glasses and just kept giving us more full glasses of beverages. Our table ended up looking like a giant mess, which started stressing me out. Another colleague's bison burger was overcooked which makes a lean bison patty seem extra terrible, though the others enjoyed their chicken breast and salad. If you're not in a rush and don't want to venture out too far from the Omni or convention center, this is an okay place to eat. This is a nice sports bar located in the Omni Hotel Lobby. Lots of TVs and the staff was kind enough to change the channels to what I wanted to watch. The service and the food is pretty good. It's a good place to get a late night snack also. The Hummus is pretty good with the flatbread and the veges. Also the Nachos are good. They are also good at accommodating large crowds. Great sports bar in the Omni Hotel! We had just arrived in Dallas and our stomachs were grumbling. Luckily they had a huge casual sports bar with a good variety on the menu. We were greeted and seated immediately. They gave us a comfy lounge seating area to enjoy some football and be comfortable at the same time. There are gigantic screens all throughout the restaurant which makes it nice for game day. It is very clean with a nice open feel. Our service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Drinks were always filled. I was surprised at how quickly our food was delivered seeing as how busy it was. We split the chicken nachos and some buffalo wings. The nachos were brilliantly done with a mound of toppings such as cheese, chili line sour cream, black beans and guacamole. These are definitely easily shared with several people. While staying at the Omni Hotel, we had the opportunity to try The Owner's Box for lunch. The menu had plenty of options that sounded good, but we had the hardest time deciding. I think we were all over hungry and one thing sounded better than the next. After finally placing our order, the chef sent over some spicy glazed meatballs to try. Spicy - yes. Yummy - not so much. I was immediately concerned about the good we had just ordered. When the BBQ beef brisket potato skins hit the table, I was apprehensive. After one whiff, I knew we were in for a treat. We shared this appetizer and the three of us couldn't have been more pleased with our selection. The chunks of beef were a very nice size and there was plenty of it. The jalapeño ranch dipping sauce was really just ranch with a piece of jalapeño on top, but it was still good. We tried the chili which was good. A shrimp flatbread with arugula was enjoyed by my coworker. She are every bite even though she was pretty full from those potato skins. And I tried a burger with their fries. The burger was good. It was a double patty on a nice bun. The fries were over seasoned and I only ate a couple before I have up on those. Overall, it was a good experience was fine service. read more

BIG farkin TV and lots of smaller TV's to watch the myriad of sporting events available. Coworker had reserved a table for us and our server Melissa was doing a good job, even though she didn't want to admit to being in the weeds; she was. I know what being in the weeds is, done that, got the shirt and this girl was in em. No fault of her own, they were flipping busy. So, over the past few days I've been eating a TON. We had our departmental lunch (from Ojedas - OMFG YUM) today on the heels of our trip to Pappas last night. I'm a trooper but I was ready to go home. I only showed up because Tina deserved my attention. So, I order a Buffalo Trace on the rocks. THEY DON'T HAVE IT?! Shocked I fumble, stumble and feel like a turd. Melissa mentions Woodford Reserve (my favorite) and we're SET! So we all have merriment and enjoy our time here, I'll tell ya these folks can fuck up a pour in a good way. Wow, the coolest sports bar I've ever seen in Tx. It's almost like I was in Vegas. As I designer, I will definitely give this place a perfect 10! Unlike many typical sports bars, this one caught my eyes. Its a great place to watch a game with a group of friends or just the two of you. I love the atmosphere, very lounge and cosmopolitan like. TVs are everywhere, big and small tastefully mounted. They have individual booths for groups or just you and your date. One classiest sports bar. They also have pool tables and outside seatings as well. I love their entrance. You walk on an illuminated newspaper prints, huge tile like. You can access to this place by main entrance or thru the Omni Hotel. I also love their restrooms. Whoever their designer(s) was. Great Job!!! This place is very nice! There is tons of room to move around. With Huge Flat Screens every where. This is a great place to kick back and watch sports. The bartenders are very attentive. We had two great servers that waited on us! I was very impressed. As I have not been drinking, the bartender came up with some amazing virgin fruit cocktails for me to enjoy while the rest of my party enjoyed their amazing drinks! I have a love hate relationship with The Owners Box. Although I love the Omni Hotel...the Owners' Box for me is a disappointment in food quality and service. I have been here on many occasion (more than 6 times in the past 6 months) and every time it seems very difficult to get server attention. The food is average at best - standard bar food with basic flavors. I would love to see their menu "spiced up" a bit by the chef's in Texas Spice - no pun intended. If you just want to watch the game and hang out with friends over an average alcoholic beverage then yes, I would recommend The Owners Box. In my past experience they are not prepared or educated on specialty drinks like a Mojito so I would stick to standard drinks like a Vodka/Cranberry. I was there Sunday night. The entrance is grand. The bar is really elegant with beautiful decor, lighting, seating, and floor to ceiling windows as a back drop. I have never seen so many flat screens in all sizes you can imagine in one place. At the back of the bar they had a huge movie flat screen. There is a area next to it with pool tables and a few private seating areas. This place is so large you feel like you need directions. I was disappointed they didn't have hostess. The bartenders were really nice. They kinda steered us in the right direction. Once we were seated the waitresses came to our table immediately. The wine list is minimal. They only had three house wines to choose from. We ordered nachos, and hot wings. The hot wings were cooked well, but they didn't have good taste. Our nachos were very salty. We came here for a late lunch after attending an event at the adjacent convention center. We put our name in and were told it would be a 20 minute wait. We headed across the way to see if anyone could accommodate us more quickly, but then our buzzer went off after a couple of minutes (nice surprise!). We started to be taken back to a table, when the hostess asked us to hold for a moment. So we were standing in the middle of the restaurant with no clue what was happening. After a few minutes they said they found another place and took us to this awkward back bar and tried to seat three of us there on these terrible barstools with no back. Um, we asked for a table. Upscale sports bar in the Omni Hotel connected to the Kay Hutchinson Convention Center. Went here while in town for a work conference. It was busy, but my party of 3 walked right in and sat down for lunch. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which was good. The service we received was par for the course. The menu items are a bit expensive for what you get, but that's to be expected being in downtown Dallas TX. The decor was pretty cool with TVs and projectors broadcasting games from across the globe. The menus are mock newspaper articles, both clever and unique. I had a good experience here and would go again given the other alternatives in the immediate area. read more

Owner's Box is a great Dallas sports bar. There are 4 massive TVs and one massive big screen, all showing different games. The atmosphere is more upscale but that's totally fine. Every seat has a great view, lots of natural light and is pretty cool at night. Prices are a little high but my main complaint is that the waitresses sometime take a while to deliver your drinks when things get busy. Otherwise, it's a great place to watch sports. read more

The positive is that our waitress was very pleasant and friendly. The negatives, and the reason for three stars, are: 1. I asked specifically how much Blue Moon was on tap and was told $4. When the bill came we were charged $5 per glass. 2. We sat on the outside patio because the weather was nice. The view, however, overlooks two parking lots. It's not their fault, of course, that Dallas has so few captivating views, but still, who wants to look at parking lots. 3. At Mexotopia I thought I had tasted the worst salsa ever. I was wrong. This was worse. It tasted like unseasoned tomato sauce and jalapeno. It was horrible. The menu said "charred tomato salsa." We tasted no char. Actually, we tasted nothing, which is truly odd because you could see pieces of fresh onion and cilantro. You have to be truly gifted, and not in a good way, to screw up salsa using fresh ingredients. For $6 w/chips it was a total waste of money. read more

I'm rating this purely for the Sport's Bar experience. I watched the Euro Finals here (Portugal stunning France 1-nil) and had the perfect experience. The service was perfect as the waitress was as friendly and reliable as could be. In terms of watching games, the monitors were huge and no seat had a bad view as there were multiple big screens in multiple spots. The food was very good. I had the fish tacos and at $13, was very happy with them and the ice tea that was refilled without me needing ask. The burgers were okay, but I've had better. They served two double meat patties that were the size of McDonald's double meat but charged more than McDonald's. The patties were dry and too salty. Our buns were cold. I did not appreciate the manager telling me that their burgers are served once they're cooked (as if I'm lying). The bun was not hot but the fries were warm. The patties tasted like they were precooked and had sitting in water even though they asked how did I want my burger cooked. The waiter claimed he would discount the burgers for the inconvenience. We weren't really hungry, so my companion and I ordered the Avocado Wedges, which was 4 wedges of avocado with bacon (!), brisket and cheese. They were fabulous!
