The best Lao and Thai restaurant in Irving. I highly recommend for dine-in and takeout.

My beautiful wife and I really liked this place. It is nice having a place like this within walking distance of our house. When we went, I ordered the Thais Basil Chicken with rice. The food came out quick and it was delicious. Definitely well worth the visit. The place was nice on the inside and the service was friendly. Please check this place out.

So, this place certainly looks like a hole in the wall. The inside ambience is not remarkable either. However, the food is authentic. The chefs and servers know their food and we loved every item. Portions are not super great but decent. Spice levels can be adjusted as we wish.

Been wanting to come here for a long time and was fully expecting a 5-star review which makes it a bit disappointing I need to give it only 4. Perhaps the numerous, glowing reviews of the Crying Tiger entree raised my expectations... or maybe it was just a bad night. But I didn't find it to be anything special and actually quite chewy / tough. The Tom Yum soup was delicious and the steamed seafood was decent with somewhat rubbery squid. Service was fine. Ambiance was as expected. Overall a good place that I'm willing to try again.

You place your order on a electronic tablet. We ordered the Sizzling Lau Sausage, Crispy Zaap Wings, Pad Kee Mao and the Mango Sticky Rice. We ordered all of our items to go. When I took our items out of our bags when we got back, I was amazed at the portion size of the Pad Kee Mao because the weight of the container was SUBSTANTIALLLLLL!!!!! All of our items were out of this world fantastic but I have to give a big ole shout out for that MANGO STICKY RICE! This was first time to have it and my husband and I both enjoyed. I appreciated the variety of Thai and Lao items on their menu and would like to come back and try some other things. They had a lot of customers coming in and out with to go orders. You can tell this is very popular for lunch for folks who work in the area. I can understand why. All of the food is so fresh and piping hot. Oh and the chalkboard art is MAGNIFICENT!!!! I love it so much that i took more pictures of that than our food! I did, however, get a pic of the mango sticky rice because I had to try it immediately when we got back. WOWOWOWOWOWWWW! That's all.

The papaya salad came with big chunks of cabbage and marinated green papaya. The Lao sausage was good and the garlic riblets were okay. Overall it was fine but I'm not entirely impressed with the food. Wall decorated with chalk drawings was very nice, for a fast food type of place!

Solid place for authentic Laos food. Highly recommend if you're missing the taste of Laos food…read more It's not your normal restaurant. They don't ask you about a drink. You just get it from their fridge. I liked their beef larb. Level 4 was pretty spicy. We got it cooked. The Laos sausage was good but tasted like the ones you can buy yourself and cook. Their nam Khao had very good flavor. My only critique is that it could be even crispier and it would be perfect. Their Khao poon is okay not bad. I like my mother in laws better. Khao piek had good hearty broth flavor. Overall would come back if in the area! Their ambiance is a restaurant combined with a market you can get some pantry or frozen foods.

It's tucked away and attached to a small Lao grocery store, which honestly made it feel even more authentic. The moment we walked in, it felt like we were about to get a home-cooked meal. We ordered the organ soup with sticky rice, beef lahp, and nam khao, and everything was absolutely delicious. The broth in the organ soup was rich, clean, and deeply flavorful, exactly how it's supposed to taste. The sticky rice came out warm and perfectly chewy. The beef lahp was bright and herbaceous with the right amount of spice and lime, super fresh, and tasted just like what we've had in Laos/at family gatherings. And the nam khao was crispy, tangy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they don't cut corners on ingredients here. What I appreciated most is the authenticity. A lot of other reviewers mentioned that this is one of the few places in Texas where the food tastes "just like home," and I completely agree. Multiple people also mentioned the friendly staff and how the market side carries essentials and hard-to-find Lao/Thai items. We felt the same way, everyone was kind, and the grocery section is a nice bonus for anyone looking for snacks or specialty ingredients. Portions were solid, prices were fair, and the quality was amazing. This is exactly the kind of spot you hope to find when traveling. If you want real Lao food, skip the trendy places and come here instead. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Texas. Highly, highly recommend.
