We had an early dinner here. Quite accidentally came upon this place because the Bistro St Michael was closed. The decor is amazing. So many antique and vintage pieces as well as authentic documents from the original Palace. The food was a step above pub food. Brussel sprouts with pancetta was delicious. I had the chicken with mushrooms and onions and my boyfriend had the sirloin steak. We were happy with the quality of our meals. Really tasty and well seasoned. Service was awesome. Amazing place to have lunch with my father and my son, a "boys day" kind of. We all had burgers and beers with cheese curds for starters, and everything tasted great. Food was really great! Unfortunately, the service was awful. After getting the text that our table was ready, we arrived at the host stand. He pointed across the room and said, "that table over there is yours to the left of the safe." That was a little surprising but okay. We walked ourselves over and sat down. It was pretty busy so waiting a while for a server wasn't a big deal. We ordered drinks from one server that came by, but then we were told that someone else was taking our table. That server came over to bring our drinks and take our order, but never came back....the whole meal. The kitchen staff that brought out the food got us ketchup and bread that was missing but the server just never came back. We could see her working in the bar so staffing must have been short. We would have ordered more drinks, but after about 45 minutes of no visit to our table, I went to the host stand and said we needed boxes and the check. The hostess brought us boxes and then we sat for another 10 minutes with no check. People were standing around waiting for open tables while all the tables around us just sat there waiting for checks too. I really love this restaurant, unfortunately, it is not a great experience when your server is also working the bar (especially on a Saturday night) and doesn't have time to serve the tables. read more

This place is awesome!!! Old timey and full of history! I don't get up to Prescott often at all, but made it up today to meet up with a high school friend. We walked around for a little bit as he educated me on all the cool history of Prescott and after walking around for a little bit, he recommended The Palace citing its history, how it's still historically laid out and just what a cool place it was. He was right! As we walked by the bar, I was mesmerized at what an incredible bottle selection they had. Unfortunately we only had a few hours and since my friend had his daughter, exploring their selection wasn't in the cards today. We were seated and quickly greeted by Shawna towards the back. Not only is this place decked out how you'd expect a 19th century saloon to look, but the staff also wears clothing representative of the time as well. Shawna was attentive to our table even tucked back in the corner and she was patient while we all decided what we wanted. The food here is pretty good, between all of us. We had Brussels sprouts, street tacos, a burger and a kids menu order of chicken nuggets. No complaints here and tons of stuff on the menu that I wouldn't mind trying on my next visit. We washed out lunch down with a couple of Buffalo Trace old fashioneds. Im super bummed that we couldn't spend more time up here before having to leave, but I would love to come back up here on a weekend and just get to explore all the cool places, museums and history! The historic Palace, across from courthouse, this place has a lot of history. You got the employees in historic western wear. The bar that had all the legends of the west drinking at it. A mix of locals and tourists. A nice place to check out in Prescott. The food was good. Service was friendly. Really nothing to complain about. I would go again. read more

Hanging out in the super cool Palace Restaurant & Saloon is about as cowboy cool as it comes on Whiskey Row! The ambiance is just perfect, the crowd is cool and waitstaff are attentive and friendly. We ordered Guinness for my bride of 10-years and a Rum n Coke for me. The Guinness... always good and the Rum n Coke, good with a decent pour. We ordered the Chicken Sandwich with fries. The chicken patty was kinda ' small and definitely dwarfed a bit by the warm bun. The chicken was topped with a bit of Avocado and, damn, I forgot to add bacon...grrrrr. the sandwich was okay, a 7 outta 10... something was missing (bacon??) But overall satisfying. The fries were string fries, which get cold quickly. I prefer "Manley" steak fries to whimpy, get sand kicked in your face skinny fries.... however they were tasty. So, will we be back? This is a go to when you're on Whiskey Row in Prescott. There's a huge bar, huge dining room and back patio area where you can enjoy a meal or a drink. On previous trips we've sat at the bar and listened to a performer on the piano .. there was no live music on our recent visit right after the covid lockdown but they were playing country music to set the mood. The place was busy and they did limit the amount of people they'd seat. With half the town still closed we were glad they were open and people were enjoying being out. This place seems like it had potential in the past and now it seems like a place to only grab a pint. The blackened chicken Caesar salad was decent but I expected a little more from the lettuce as it was not too fresh. The silverware was dirty. The corn chowder tasted like it was nearly out of a can, lukewarm, and not even filled to the brim. The best thing was the Palace IPA which was a cheap $6. I would only go back for the beer. The atmosphere was quite interesting but there needs to be some deep cleaning in that dusty place. The food needs rejuvenation for sure. read more

Historic bar but not much going for it. We went here for lunch on a Saturday. The vibe was chaotic. The server in our section was sat 4 tables all at once. I ordered the pecan peach old fashion to be told that the liquor was no longer made and it wasn't available-- ok, well why not update your menu? So I ordered a regular old fashion which came with a muddled cherry (which wasn't indicated on the menu) lots of small ice cubes and was super sweet. Would not recommend. My experience with old fashions is that you get one large ice cube and the cherry or cherries are intact. I ordered the prosciutto wrapped shrimp and my husband had a turkey sandwich with fries. I could not see the prosciutto when the dish arrived. If you had a microscope, you might find it. Credit to our server that she took it back and didn't charge us. However she also offered to refill a club soda with water. My husbands turkey sandwich was very meh. My guess is that they cater to tourists walking in for the historic bar (which is what we were) and don't really care about repeat business. read more

Really cool atmosphere of the old time west cowboy days. Walls are covered in old photos of cowboys like John Wayne and Doc Holliday. Has a good bit of history too. The actual bar is original to the palace, was carried across the street when the bar caught on fire long ago. Famous cowboys sat at the exact same bar. I visited this place on a trip to Arizona recently. The concept for this restaurant is pretty fun, it's a saloon theme with lots of stuff to look at. The wait staff all wear costumes and it has a ghost story to boot. I would say the experience overall was more fun than the food, which was slightly above average. The menu was very standard- burgers and sandwiches mostly with a decent choice of appetizers and a full bar. We got the prosciutto- wrapped shrimp to share and I ordered the Sonoran Salmon salad. I was satisfied but not blown away. The service was good and the space itself was huge, though we opted to sit outside on the significantly less grandiose patio (it was a beautiful day though). I would definitely recommend this place as a tourist experience but maybe less so if I lived locally. read more

We travelled from Buckeye to eat here. We were seated immediately but after waiting quite a while we questioned the waitress about our order. she very rudely and nasty told us "we are busy today, we got slammed". our food did arrive shortly thereafter...COLD, indicating it had been ready for a while, one part of our order didn't come out (a salad) and she went to get it. I saw her go in and out of the kitchen four times and never brought my salad.!. the manager told us he had four people call out and he was just going to close down the restaurant. No apology, no refund, no nothing. what a wasted trip. never again read more

We were excited to try The Palace. I love how all the staff dress in saloon costumes. The staff were so nice and I really enjoyed our waitress Stacey. She checked on us often and made sure everything was just right! They have lots of Prescott history on the walls that was interesting to read and see photos of. We ordered the grilled prawns with prosciutto as an appetizer, they were delicious! I ordered a bowl of the corn chowder. The corn was sweet, but it was missing a bit of flavor. My son had a bowl of beans and again, his was missing spice. We shared the Beast Burger with onion rings. The patty was thick and the burger was delicious. Everything was plated nicely. read more

We loved everything about this place! The western bar is so cool and so are all the historic items throughout the restaurant. It's huge inside and they get people in and out really well so even a packed square event you shouldn't wait long. The food is delicious! Recommend the wings, prawns and ribs but the star of the evening was the green chili burger. read more

This place definitely has a bit of a "tourist trap" feel. It's a large restaurant with servers in period attire and lots of merch for sale. That being said, it is a historic location (oldest saloon in AZ) with legit Western cred (the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday were patrons). I didn't eat much, just a shrimp basket. However, the shrimp were massive and the accompanying cocktail sauce was delicious (really well seasoned). The service was fast and friendly. I totally recommend popping in here, at least for a beer. oh my gosh!!! this place is something i've never experienced before. the atmosphere, the staff, the clothes, the food, EVERYTHING is outstanding. our waitress was adorable, had the most energy i've ever seen and you could just tell she was born to work there. all the workers had awesome outfits on, some even having fake guns and bullets in their pockets. super old style. the food was fantastic, but i wasn't a huge fan of the meat ball things (appetizer menu). i ordered the 3 battered fish tacos.. incredible. we walked in on a tuesday for lunch and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table to open up. please visit this restaurant, you won't regret it! read more

This was our 2nd trip to Prescott and we had to go back to this place. Great atmosphere, great food & great service. Their patio is dog friendly so +++ on our scale. My wife likes the pork sliders and their cole slaw. She added onion rings and they're big sized, good and lots of them. Unfortunately, the corn chowder was too thick and gloppy with tons of butter swimming in it, but digging around the melted butter for the soup parts, it tasted good. Wow, what an awful expensive dinner. Rib eye steaks were total fat. Manager told me he doesn't need customers like me in there. I never even asked for a refund. The waitress was the one who said I need to show this to my manager this is not right. The manager was a mean, nasty punk. It's our third time in and will never ever go back. Save your $$$ and go somewhere nice. Historic place but Wow, management needs a lot of work. Extremely expensive and simply not worth it. read more

We had a great experience here for dinner. This is a definite stop if you are visiting Prescott Proper in downtown. Our server Nate was great! Our steaks were grilled to perfection.
