As expected there was a wait, but the person at the counter gave the impression that they didn't want any more business, she was very short with her responses and flippant about the hour-and-a-half to two-hour wait time she suggested (turned out to be about 35-45 mins max) The people at the greeting counter were also rude to the families behind us saying come in or go out the door is open, when the other family was saying time and again that we just want to be on the waitlist, (they left without ordering) Once we were seated everything went smoothly and we had good service from our server, the good was made quickly and without any issues. It was a little on the higher side given the limited portions on the sides or bacon or sausage, but the eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancakes were delicious. I only wish they were a little more friendly to the tourist community, they want our business and depend on our tips, at the bare minimum I would expect a friendly smile and a little patience, as we are willing to be patient for their food and service. read more

I got an egg white omelet with feta, spinach, and ham. It came with 3 sand dollar pancakes. It was delicious however they used WAYYYYY to much oil and butter. I mean everyone at my table was shocked with how much better we could see soaking on it and around it. I had to use more than 10 napkins to try and soak some of it up to taste something other then butter. However the pancakes were great, and so were the bites I got of omelet that didn't taste like straight butter and oil. Secondly, the waitresses aren't very nice. This is a great place to eat breakfast but be forewarned, request a table indoors if you ha e time to wait. Outstanding service and food ! When we first walked in we could see this was a busy restaurant. The hostess immediately greeted us and told us the wait time would be 30 minutes. We agreed to wait, and just sat outside for some scenery. We got a text message saying our table was ready. But if you're going to name a restaurant after one of the most notable breakfast foods in the US, you've GOT to bring it...every time. So let me first say that the pancakes are good. They are solid cakes that absorb syrup nicely and have some nice griddle markings. But I expected great. I expected life changing pancakes from the Pancakery! I'm a huge critic of breakfast places because I make a pretty mean breakfast myself and if I'm going to pay for something it had better be better than what I can make myself in the comfort of my home. These were as good as mine but I would have liked a little more vanilla in the batter to give it that decadent taste. I ordered the traditional eggs Benedict because I won't go to that trouble of making them at home. They were good but not great but they came nicely plated. The muffin on the bottom needed a bit more toasting to hold up to the hollandaise but was otherwise good. I had a side of small silver dollars and a side of hash browns. The hash browns were very good. They were flattened on the griddle and cooked in butter so that had the crunch and taste that you look for. This is the way that you make hash browns! Perhaps the "hash brownery"? My husband had the small stack with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. No complaints there and he sighed with fork and knife in hand when I asked him to wait until I took a picture. That's a good sign when it looks so good you can't wait. This place is definitely a good spot to hit for breakfast and the coffee is strong, something that I love. The vibe is casual and the service very attentive. Pretty quick service and I'm excited to dive in when it gets to the table! Kind of confused though, it sort of tastes good but it's completely devoid of any salt or pepper or any seasoning whatsoever. Yeah there's salt & pepper on the table, but salting food after it's already been cooked isn't the same and you know it. And then I noticed the hollandaise (which again, good flavor) had broken, which means they made a big batch in the morning and it was sitting in a tub with the heat too high and it separated. Same theme with the Bananas Foster French Toast. Looked great, flavors were good, but no seasoning. The sauce had broken on this as well so seeing a mess of sugar separating from the butter in the sauce was pretty unappetizing, to say the least. Service was friendly and attentive though!
