Painful full body massage. Left me with pain and bruises on my back for a few days. No real massage, mainly just rubbing your back.

It was an okay experience. The 30 min foot massage was better then the body massage. The body massage was half the time messing around with hot rocks, very hot rocks. This place is clean and quite with light and soothing music. The prices are fair and the receptionist was really nice and suggested I take a combo offer. Grace was my massage therapist. Been here 3xs for 1 hour massages. The first 2 times were pretty good with the same masseuse who seemed to know what she was doing. Today's experience was pretty awful. Felt like the masseuse was steamrolling my body. She lacked any technique, quickly & roughly trying to flatten my knots with 2 fingers/knuckles & going in the opposite direction of my muscles & bones. Thus, a steamroller feeling & me gritting my teeth on the table. Like another reviewer, I quickly put a heatpad on at home as a way to heal from the experience. It's too bad as the establishment seems clean & has a nice ambiance. I wonder if management ever has potential employees perform a massage on them before offering a job to determine their skills? I bought a Groupon for a 70 min massage and a 30 min foot massage with hot stones. It was seriously the best massage I have ever had! It started off with a bit of light stretching and then she gave the massage. Then she added the hot stones to the mix with a bit of exfoliation. She got out all of the knots that have been built up for a while with ease. All I can say is go in for yourself and ask for Lili. I took foot massage at this place and it was okay, so I bought Groupon deal of 100 mins massage (30 mins foot and 70 mins body) and now I regret wasting my money. The place looks good and may be other Masseuse will be better than the one who massaged me. 1stly, they don't do 100 mins massage, it was hardly 60 to 70 mins. the masseuse was doing so much time pass in between. she left the table thrice for more than 5 to 10 mins. She did not understand what I was saying. I told her to go easy on my back since I had surgery But, she kept on doing whatever she felt was right. She was just massaging only right side of my back so, I told her to do other side but she did not understand. I literally felt like dough and she was kneading so angrily!!! Its worst massage ever for me and I do take massage every week. I do not recommend buying 100 mins massage deal. The place was Great! My Girlfriend and I went here an hour before closing and had a couples massage, we both had a amazing experience. It is truly an oasis. They offer hot tea or water at the end of your massage. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We will be coming back. The masseuses really pay attention to what your body needs! read more

It's a brand new and very clean location. A lot nicer than most $20 foot massage locations. You can't compare this to a Burke Williams like most people have. You obviously pay for what you get. I was introduce here by a friend and i like it. lately we don't come together since we're both busy. i ask my male friend that the receptionist Long is asking about him all the time. and my male friend told me he doesn't want to come back there anymore because that receptionist was very nosy. He even told me that one time she called him to inform him that i was there. I was very upset about it because she does not have the right to tell anybody where i am. It's none of her business. I am giving them an extra star for having a beautifully decorated, spacious, place. Outside is really dumpy but inside is very nice. I got a full body massage for $29.99. The masseuse was polite but his hands shook the entire time... probably from some type of nerve damage or arthritis to his hands. I asked him a few times to be firm, but he was much too delicate (probably due to his hand problems). Meanwhile, the furniture store next door (same owner) was moving their stuff around the store, so I kept getting constant loud banging noises that shook the entire room. Needless to say, this was not a good experience (-1 star for the body massage). I was still achy and so dissatisfied, I decided to get the foot massage immediately following the completely unsatisfying body massage... also because it was only $15. It was much better than the body massage... this person was firm and worked hard to get the aches out of my hands and back. They then handed me 2 tip envelops and showed me a sign with recommended tip amounts from $20 to $50+... I gave them $10 each and left... I LOVE THIS PLACE. Very clean, smells amazing, beautiful interior decor. This place is wayyyy better than many of the foot reflexology places I have been! You can't help but feel relaxed! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind. I do not understand the negative reviews given to the Paradise spa. I have been to this place more than 20 times now, having had both the foot massage and body massage, and I have to say every time my expectations are exceeded, and I am so glad to have taken the time to stop by. The prices are very very reasonable and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The people are very skilled and know what they are doing. At this price I can afford coming here three times per week which has made a real difference for my health and relieved the stress from work and everyday life business. I bought 2 group on vouchers for this place. I called to see if I could come to redeem it at 8pm the same day and they invited me in. However, when I got there I found that I could not use it after 4pm. So I was tense had just driven across country from Chicago with an infant and moved here. So there was no words to explain my state of mind. So when the guy asked if I wanted to pay out of pocket, I said sure. I received a detox at $30 or so and a full body massage at about $60. Then He said do you have a tip. I was like no, he said, "how much do you want to take off your card for the tip." I was like before the service? He said, "I can give you the cash... I was like okay, give me $20 in 5 dollar bills. He obliged. I then waited for about 10 minutes then taken back to a chair where I observed the foot rubs and tried to relax. The environment was cool and relaxing before this guy kept walking through in flip flops making all the noise in America. So this detox lasted about 30 mins and it was okay, so then a lady came and got me and took me to the back I undressed and it was the roughest massage I had ever experienced. And I travel for work and out of every state and country that I have been to for a spa experience this one was not the best. But it lasted about 45 minutes and she skipped my lower half. So afterwards she was standing there with water and asked for a tip, so I gave her $10. Okay, the next day my husband went and used the voucher. And he stayed about 90 mins and he had a lady and had the same review. So he tipped her the other $10 from the $20 in change the guy gave me from the night before. So the next Sunday, I decided to go that morning before a play, and wanted to kinda get in and out so I was rushing trying to make my appointment and forgot to take my wallet. So I decided just to go in anyway, I was already there right? So I had a good session with this guy and I felt bad that I didn't have my wallet to tip him because he deserved it. So my intentions were to go home and return on our way to the play at 1500 (3pm) to give him like a $40 tip. So I explained that I didn't have my wallet to tip and that I would return. So while scurrying out the door to not be late because now I have to stop back by here to drop off the guys tip. I was chased down in the parking lot by the front desk guy and he said, "where's your tip?" I then stated I forgot my wallet. He said well you have to tip. I the. Began to get irritated because he demanded it. I said, "Wait... What?" And he said didn't you like the massage? I said yea it was good but I don't have my wallet I was rushing to get here and forgot it. The. He said so you don't have any money? I said, no, not on me. But I paid for the services I just didn't have extra to give right now. I said so I owe you for any of the services? He said, " No, but you have to tip. When you go to a restaurant, they don't have to tell you to tip do they?" I then said, "No, but They don't chase me down in the parking lot either." So then he said well we don't like your kind here, you are not welcomed here anymore because you don't tip! Lol! What? I turned around and got into my car. He will never get another dime from me. This has become our go to massage place. I think we've tried everyone in Milpitas and a bunch in San Jose and Santa Clara. This place has the best atmosphere hands down! So I came in last night to get a massage for me and my mom and sister in law. Don't get me wrong I had an amazing time. I love the person that gave me a massage it felt good. The only thing is I dislike when the reception had to run out and run us down for tips? Like really? I gave her the tips and she said how do you want me to split this? Uh duh split into 3 $5 each. I did pay a lot for a massage I'm not gonna pay $30 more to give a tip. Smh and one other thing if they don't get there tip and you tell them to wait you have to go to your car they will stand outside of there business door and watch you go into your car to make sure they get there tip. Right there just make me feel so uncomfortable and really upset that they will stand out there door and watch you. SMH don't expect people to give a big amount of tip. If they don't have cash on hands do not come and say oh we except credit card. Smh take whatever cash was given and split upon themselves. I will come back for massage but there service I do not like. Trust me I will not be tipping high. I decided to try Paradise Spa for the first time today mainly because my neck and trapezius area of my back was hurting me (also because of fair reviews on Yelp). I called to schedule an appointment and I immediately got an appointment, within 30mins as requested. The gentlemen on the phone was very professional. The establishment is exactly like the pictures, very clean and relaxing. The gentlemen at the counter took me into a private room as scheduled and within minutes, Lisa came in. I described a couple of areas that I wanted her to concentrate becauser I was in some discomfort. I normally do not get deep tissue massages, but today I felt it was necessary. Lisa was very attentive to my needs and asked a couple of times if the pressure was ok and to just let her know if I wanted the pressure changed. The massage was awesome. Afterwards, she brought me water (tea is also available) and asked how I was feeling and if the massage helped me at all today. I felt great after the massage as most of the pain I came in with was literally gone. The bottom line, Excellent Customer Service, Clean establishment, Great private room atmosphere, Awesome Massage, very Caring and most of all a Great Price. My first experience was good....the atmosphere is beautiful to look at but the restroom was out of order and they told me to run next store to the furniture store and it was noisy the whole time I was getting a massage...but the massage was nice. I've been back 4-5 times...Michael was great, but now on vacation for two months. I tried a new massage person Kim and she is excellent, probably to qualified for this place even though I'm really glad she is there. Each time I go I get a little more disappointed at how noisy it can be...the receptionist talks on the phone...sometimes on speaker phone - really? And for how beautiful the place is the receptionist should look that way too...sometimes I wonder if she's combed her hair...I'm just saying first impressions go a long way. I am turned off by their idea of tipping - I went one time and only had $5 and they were not happy that I offered $5 for a $15 service, and it was my least favorite massage person...not bad but not great...you could tell she wasn't even looking at what she was doing just going through the motion....so some days you'll enjoy your massage...others you might get a noisy experience...if you can pick your person ask for Kim or if Michael is back he has a nice touch. read more
