Couples massage room
Maria L.

Not sure why this place had such a low rating. They did provide a very relaxing couple's massage at an excellent price point. We got a Groupon, but their prices listed at the reception area were not bad either. We made a reservation the day before and requested for 2 female masseuses. They told us while they only had one male masseur and quite a few masseuses, they wouldn't know which massage therapists would be available until the morning of, and suggested us to call in the morning. We thought we would take our chances and didn't call, but they did call us and informed us that if we would still prefer 2 female masseuses, we could go an hour later. We're very flexible on time and went an hour later. It actually worked out better for us as we could run some errands before our appointment. While the place didn't have a modern decor, it was very clean. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and I had time to use their restroom, which was very clean as well. I love that their massage tables had heated pads. Our masseuses were friendly and did a great job. We had a full hour of massage, despite it not starting at the hour. Wouldn't mind going back again.

We made a same-day appointment for two one-hour deep tissue massages. We arrived early, so we had plenty of time to undress and chat in the couples room while waiting, especially since our masseuses came in about 10 minutes later than our appointment time. They were very friendly and immediately got to work. My masseuse found and applied strong pressure and great technique to my knots especially in my upper back and shoulders. But she also did a good job on my legs with deep pressure the whole way through my session. One of the best massages I've had in a while, but that's because deep tissue is my preference, to me that's relief. You could probably ask them to adjust the pressure if you prefer a softer touch, but just know the massage therapists here are powerful. The setting was clean and inviting, typical decor for a massage parlor. And light melodies playing in the background during our treatment added to the relaxing atmosphere. Overall great value at the Paradise Spa.

Photo of expired vouchers due to The Paradise Spa not calling back.

I bought a Groupon for me and my friend to go relieve some stress and get a message but couldn't book an appointment. Once I mentioned that I had a Groupon I was hit every single time with "we will call you back" only to never receive a call back. The only time someone gave me the time of day was when I asked them to book a reservation and the lady was ready to book me one right away but when she asked how I will be paying and I mentioned a Groupon voucher she immediately switched up her costumer service and told me she would call back if there was any availability. This happened so much my voucher expired before I could even use them. After $100 later and no massage I can safely say that these people are not professional when it comes to prepaid vouchers. Beware of you come here from Groupon and some advice towards you, ask for the refund before it's too late!

I went to his clinic crying with pain. I go to his clinic all the time. During my recent visit, he went completely above and beyond. He noticed a rash and immediately suggested that the rash looked like shingles, in his opinion but suggested that I see a Primary Care Physician directing me to preventative medicine right away. Because of his quick, expert eye, I got treatment in time, which completely stopped the shingles from spreading. He isn't just a phenomenal chiropractor; he is a dedicated care provider who looks at the whole picture of your health. To top it off, his staff at both locations are absolutely wonderful. They try to accommodate you with appointments at either locations if possible. They always greet you with a smile, actually listen to your pain, and make you feel completely welcome and comfortable from the moment you walk in. I am incredibly grateful for this practice!" I told him an hour of full body and he said the Combo was better. The combo just adds the foot massage. Since reflexology believes that the foot has pressure points in different parts of the body, I decided to do it. During the full body massage, I told him I want it stronger, he said yes, but it only lasted for 10 minutes. It seemed that he worked on my back for most of the time as he did the same routine twice. I wish there was more on my neck and head. He also spent a short time on my legs. In the foot massage, it seemed more like a foot rub. Not sure why there was a lot of emphasis on my toes. Of course what they do is try to get more minutes out of you during the massage session. What I should have done was tell them 45 minutes to get the hour. Overall: Pass on this place. Although some masseuses differ, my first experience gave me a lasting negative impression. There are better places

The rooms are equipped with relaxing music, adjustable lighting, and a warm massage table. There are also cubies for you to place your items and hooks for your clothes. There is also a robe in case you need to step out during the massage. Bathroom is very clean and the space was enjoyable. 5/5 Service: I got the 60 min Swedish massage and I should have booked for at least 90 minutes! They have you fill out a form on areas that you would like to work on and she did just that. She was phenomenal at locating the exact problem areas I had circled and this was by far the best massage I have ever had. I felt so amazing that I ended up purchasing a gift-card so I could go for the rest of the year! 5/5 FYI $500+ get 10% off, $300+ get 50% off which is a really good deal! 5.5/5 would recommend!

I called around 1:37 PM on a Friday hoping to book a couples massage for later that day, but they were fully booked. Fortunately, they had two openings available which was 2:15 PM and 6:00 PM. My partner encouraged me to go without him, so I took the 2:15 PM appointment. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the receptionist, Josalyn (or Jocelyn... sorry if I misspelled your name!). Very pleasant on the phone and in-person. She had me fill out a form detailing the type of massage I wanted, pressure preference, areas of focus, and any add-ons I was interested in. I chose the 60-minute deep tissue massage with extra attention to my back, neck, and shoulders. My massage therapist, Gib, was absolutely amazing. Bless her hands because she really got to work on all the tension and knots in my upper back that I didn't even realize I had. There were even moments when we both laughed because the relief felt so good I'd let out an involuntary grunt. It was intense in the best possible way. The hour flew by, and I honestly wished I had booked a 90-minute or even 2-hour session. Now I know I'll need to plan ahead next time. Safe to say, I'll definitely be back, and hopefully next time my partner can experience it with me as well.

We first discovered these places in socal where they are only $15 for an entire hour of massages. Royal Health Spa is pretty good though, especially in the bay, $20 special for a food massage.. It has been advertised as this grand special for quite awhile. I've been here 3 times and I really think it depends on who you get... I'm sorry I never ask for names... but in my experience the guy that does the massages is better... I had one lady who actually made it painful.. like instead of just massaging my head she was digging her nails in and scratching my head... it really hurt.. she was also chit chatting away with the woman next to me. The man that does massages asked how much pressure I wanted and it was very relaxing. I had just had a hike the day before and definitely needed the relaxation. It is conveniently located next to the gym (which is how we discovered it). The place is very clean and this is a more legit massage than the ones at the mall for a cheap price. We recently brought our mom here for mother's day and upon leaving they gave each of us a boutonniere.. which i thought was very kind. When I'm looking for a cheap massage in the bay this is the place to be.
