I got the basanagol and medagon and was pleasantly surprised at how big the portions are and how great the food was for the price and a welcoming staff is always nice! A winner! Probably deserves 3.5. The Italian boy is a good but not great sandwich. The mortadella is very good. The ciabatta is mid. The use of bitter mixed greens is a mistake with the other acidic flavors. I do like the heat of the peppers. The burrata is somewhat lost in it all. The chicken sandwich did well to add the peppers, but the rotisserie chicken was very dry. read more

At least once a week for the past couple of months I have gone by The Pass and wondered what it was all about. Today I made it my business to stop and see. I was there 5 minutes before opening but a staff member saw me looking thru the window and opened the door and invited me in. Being a little early I had the opportunity to talk to the owner/chef a very pleasant man who took the time to explain some menu items to me which I greatly appreciated. I ordered the little Italian boy took it home and enjoyed it while watching my Giants beat the Saints. A great way to spend my Sunday afternoon. I'll be back often and definitely next Sunday when hopefully I can enjoy another sandwich while the Giants beat the Cowboys. read more

Only issue is space, by the reviews thought it was a sit down place, since we were traveling had hoped to see but only a counter and one table. I'll start with the positives. First, let me say the sandwiches are phenomenal. I had the Italian boy and it was stuffed with meat and cheese. My husband had the cacio e pepe which was basically an upgraded grilled cheese. He said it was ok but that mine was better. 2 sandwiches, 2 chips, and 2 sodas set us back $50. Where I understand this establishment is located downtown and prices are going up and up, it's pretty pricey for a lunch to-go. The inside is quite small, literally a sandwich counter. One table for seating so you aren't really able to eat inside. There were able 5 other people sitting at the counter or waiting and it was beginning to feel cramped. Overall sandwiches are great but for me it's too pricey to justify it. Next time I would bring my water bottle and a bag of chips from the gas station. read more

We stumbled upon this special sandwich shop completely by accident but are so happy we did! The chef and staff are so kind, funny, and passionate about what they do. They were awesome to a group of six hungover women As far as the food- all was excellent. We were there for breakfast. The Mortys Brother (a huge lox and bagel type sandwich) was a group favorite. We got the Italian boy and the turkey girl or w/e it's called. The turkey some was so much better idk why, I liked the bread it tasted like pizza crust no lie, And the sandwich had good flavor. The Italian was okay, there was too much of one meat and it didn't have a ton of flavor..
