It was my first visit to the Peach Cafe all the way from Virginia! It's a cute little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, nestled in the Monrovia area. The food was delish and the menu has a variety of food to meet everyone in my parties needs. I had the best vanilla latte of my life. It was hot, creamy and just good! The croissant friend toast was a tasty treat. The buttermilk pancakes and strawberries was a fan favorite for my son. Came on a Wednesday for a late brunch and the wait was about 10 minutes. We were seated outside/patio which was fine they have a ceiling fan and we were in the shade. Our drinks arrived and then we were surrounded by flies, landing on our legs, whizzing past our ears, just plain BUGGING us! So we asked for our food to go. Service was friendly and when we got home the food was good. We love Peach Cafe but didn't like it when they turned us away when we got there at 2:20pm because they were busy and closed at 3pm. There was only one party waiting at the time. We were very disappointed to rush there before they closed and got turned away like that. read more

20 minutes wait on a Saturday (we came at 12:55 pm). It's hot outside and there's only two chairs, so park close. The food was average, pretty bland. This is a delicious brunch place and like all delicious brunch places, you can expect a wait. Went during a Wednesday morning and was told the wait would be an hour but luckily it ended up being 25 minutes. I wouldn't expect the same luck on a weekend. They will take your number so they can text you when your table is ready. I ordered the nuts + bolts which has your choice of bacon, sausage or ham steak. (The description on their menu reads a bit differently). It also comes with your choice of side or half order of pancakes. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was not an extra cost to get the blueberry pancakes instead of the basic ones. Overall the food was good. Also had the mimosa flight which is not on their menu but I also recommend trying. Loved the guava and watermelon flavor. Hated the mango flavor and mixed feelings about the peach which tasted really artificial to me but reminded me of peach rings. Check it out. You can't go wrong coming here for brunch! The egg white panini was a nice and light sandwich, but the flavor of the spinach seemed to be stronger than all the other ingredients. The Peach Cafe is solid. It's not the best. The food presentation is very good and pleasing to the eye, but is sort of bland taste wise. The coffee is decent. The vibes and music are great. There's something about this place that reminds me of a simpler time in the 2010's. When Portland Oregon was so fun to go to, and food trucks and brunch spots were the thing. Didn't expect there to be a wait but nonetheless had to wait about 30 minutes for our table. When we got a table though, the waiter was super helpful and first asked for drinks and then came back for our dishes. I opted for the Farm House Hash that was a vege hash that came with a side of and a bread of choice. Decided on the fruit over the other potatoes based sides and go the cornbread. The hash was fine. Not much to truly highlight here. I think the best part of the meal was the cornbread. Grilled, crumbly, and full of flavor. I could've had it all if it didnt feel so fatty (but in a good way). We also shared a croissant French toast that also checked all the boxes but also felt somewhat ordinary. I can see the appeal with their mimosa flights and other unique drinks and dishes but felt like a pretty diner-y meal that I could have at more chain places. read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is enforced at this establishment. All of the staff wears a mask. All customers are expected to wear a mask too. The staff also wear gloves. I don't remember seeing any hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some outdoor seating available with limited capacity. They are also sanitizing in between customers. While I was eating my food in this establishment today, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: There is a public parking lot near this cafe. It's like a 30 second walk from the cafe. It's super close and the lot is big. However, if you come here during peak hours, the lot may be full because there are a lot of popular establishments near this cafe. If the lot is full, try parking on the street. If that's full, good luck. So, don't come here during peak hours. Tip: Come super early in the morning like right when they open to avoid the ridiculously long wait time. My friend and I went at 11:07 AM and we were not seated until 12:45 PM. So we waited over one hour and 35 minutes to be seated. Yikes! Like the only time I waited that long for food was for a 3 Michelin star restaurant, which was well worth the wait. Food: The food here was very delicious and mouthwatering. Love it! My best friend and I also got the $14 mimosa flight. Our favorite mimosa was the blueberry one because it had a bitter and sour taste to it, which we just loved. Staff: The staff here are very nice and friendly. Just wished they would have told us that we would actually have to wait close to two hours to be seated. Had we known that, we would have eaten elsewhere. The host told us we would wait about one hour, which was a lie. We got there around 11:07 AM and we were not seated till 12:45 PM. It took over one hour and 35 minutes to be seated. Like holy crap! I don't think I've ever been driven out of a restaurant so quickly than this establishment. My friends and I have been planning to come to this restaurant for so long and the stars aligned that we could all meet up on a beautiful Thursday morning. We had no idea of the horror ahead of us. I wish they would've advertised far in advance that NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS are allowed. Here's your courtesy warning: NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED!!!!! We arrived with our own coffees out of sheer ignorance of their cardinal rule. No shirt. No shoes. No outside food or drinks apparently. Upon our arrival, we were respectfully greeted by a server who reiterated that our drinks wouldn't be allowed inside the establishment but we were welcome to sit outside. We proceed to sit outside to wait for the last member of our group. Another server acknowledged us but passive-aggressively spits out, "Oh do you guys also bring your own alcohol to a bar?" STRIKE TWO. Ok.... My group and I were willing to overlook that one. We requested ice waters all around. This particular server comes back with plain white coffee cups to mask the coffee cups we initially came in with. STRIKE THREE. I had no idea this establishment would take such grave offense towards our personal coffee choices. Had I known this well in advance, my group and I would not have dared to insult them with our putrid java. God forbid my young child came in with his own happy meal. We certainly would've been waterboarded for such a violation against humanity. My group vowed to never come to this place. We never got to taste their beautifully curated menu. What a shame to be shamed so vehemently for bringing in our own coffee. Come to think of it.... Why would they be so defensive about controlling the outside coffee if they were so confident in the product they produce? That rude server could've challenged us instead by selling their coffee. We wouldn't have hesitated to try it if they were so well known for it. Huh I guess we'll never know since we'll never come back to this place. The moral of the story? the food was subpar. the only positive note i have is the hostess was helpful with reserving a table. our wait time was about 30 minutes like we were told while signing in. from what i heard, the wait time went up to 1.5 hours, which seems like far too long for the food quality. our server only came out for the menu and brought our waters out 20 minutes after asking. then she forgot the other drinks we ordered. food wait was in the longer side -- about 40 minutes. the server was nice but she only came over to take our orders. we never saw her again. the prices on the paper menus were apparently not accurate to the online menu, which was strange. i would usually be more understanding, but the hostess emphasized we use the online menu instead of the physical. turns out, the physical menu had the actual prices we had to pay--which were more expensive from the menu we were told to use. won't be coming here again. honestly i was really disappointed because the reviews on here were mainly positive and the vibe of the place seemed positive. read more

I dropped by here on a Wednesday morning. Check in is only accepted in person, and there is a significant wait time tied to booking this location. I waited about 40 minutes to be seated (party of 2) I ordered a blended mocha and the Chorizo and egg scramble. The mocha was okay, but tasted more like chocolate syrup and didn't have much of a coffee taste to it. The Chorizo scramble was average, I was hoping it would have bolder flavors, as upon receiving it, it looks rather appetizing. Perhaps my palate is used to more intense flavors, but this unfortunately did not live up to the wait. I will, however, shout out the extraordinary service the wait staff provided, as they were rather personable and made the experience a bit better. All in all, I don't know if I'll be back again. BF wanted brunch and I wanted to stay close and try a place we haven't been to before. Thanks to Yelp, we found Peach Cafe and surprisingly, we've never been here but have passed by countless times when we were in Old Town Monrovia. The wait on a weekend at 12:30 pm was around 30 minutes. We put our info down, walked around Old Town, and got a text to return for our table when it was ready. We got a spot in their outdoor patio, perfect for some fresh Saturday air while still in a covered spot with a little sun in our face. There's indoor seating too should you want some more distance from the outdoors. BF ordered the Monte Cristo ($12) with a side of crispy scalloped potatoes, as well as a cup of Americano ($2.95). I got the peach omelet ($11) with side of waffle. The omelet does not include any peaches (lol, just reflective of the name of the cafe), but does include ham, peppers, tomatoes, scallions, and pepperjack cheese. The menu worded this weird, but your side can be 1) a side plus choice of bread, or 2) a half order of pancakes or waffle. Breakfast sides include breakfast potatoes, crispy scalloped potatoes, seasonal fruit, or bourbon smashed sweet potatoes with candied pecans. We enjoyed both items we ordered and their waffle side was one of the best I've had -- light but crispy. Being one of more trendy breakfast/brunch restaurants in the area, Peach was always a go to for me and my friends if we were from American food. Unfortunately, a lot of other people feel the same way and you'll more likely than not have to wait in a line to be seated. I've tried a free menu items here and they were all solid, though the bennies were a little underwhelming. We did like the Maple Bacon Waffles, the Chorizo Scramble, and the unlimited coffee refills. And for an app, definitely order the tots! With a solid menu, excellent service, and easy free street parking, Peach has a lot to offer to the brunch scene in Monrovia. If I had to summarize my experience with The Peach Cafe, I would chalk it up to excellent customer service. I was a server for only two years but I know really exceptional care when I see it! My mom, sister, and I were having our first girls' day out after months of being super busy, so we wanted to eat at this place because my mom recommended it! We were all super exhausted from a long week and were looking forward to a brunch after a busy morning. My first impression of the restaurant was that it is really well-loved by its community. We saw a long line and a lot of happy customers seated in front despite the rain. There was a ~30 min wait for indoor seating, but we didn't mind, so we stood in line outside under a patio umbrella. After a completely random gust of wind (going maybe like ~5 mph?) blew the patio umbrella we were under, the stand portion hit my sister's forehead pretty hard (she was still conscious thank goodness) which shocked all of us, since it happened so quickly. What felt like the entire staff (manager, hostess, a couple of servers) stopped what they were doing, asked if she was okay, got her an ice pack, put the umbrella away, and kept asking if there was anything they could do. After we were seated, the manager (I wish I'd gotten his name!) insisted that she get a complimentary meal for her injury and apologized profusely. I reassured him and the other staff checking in on us that the injury was no fault of theirs; just a freakishly strong gust of wind! Normally I cringe at being given extra attention, so I was slightly embarrassed by how much the staff doted on us, but I knew that they meant well, going above and beyond to ensure that we had a good experience. Lexi, our main server, even got my sister a pack of Ibuprofen, and replaced her ice periodically throughout her meal. We were really touched by how much concern and attention we received. We had planned to have The Peach Cafe's home-brewed coffee towards the end of the meal, but our check was given to us before we had a chance to order any drinks; the staff then let us know that our 16oz espresso and 16oz chai latte were on the house, which they totally didn't have to do! We left very full and very satisfied. The drinks themselves were delicious too; probably my favorite part, food/drink-wise. If you're looking for a cozy spot that's very family-centered with service-oriented staff, please pay this restaurant a visit; it's worth it. You can imagine my animalistic delight when my friends and me arrived to The Peach Cafe, only to see the words "Today's Special: Cinnamon Roll" scrawled across the menu board. I ordered one, brimming with both excitement and a cautious reservation borne of past experience. In short, I've been burned before. Cafes and restaurants across the country serve dry buns and biscuits they call "cinnamon rolls", but deliver a product wholly unworthy of the title. Not here. Not The Peach Cafe. This place put wind under the wings of my tired heart. The roll was generous in size, comprised of a dough that was soft and melting, but sturdy enough to support a respectable posture. But then, the frosting!! So many places show up to the party with some dumpster trash glaze or icing. To this I say: go back to the fiery pit from whence you came. THE PEOPLE WANT FROSTING. Cream cheese frosting, actually. And that's what The Peach Cafe did. They showed up, rolls in hand, frosting to boot, ready to change lives with their daily special. Wait - I don't think our wait was too long... maybe like 30/40 mins for about 5 people. Since you are in downtown Monrovia, you can walk around or just hang outside since it's beautiful Decor - Super cute as I stated before. It's pretty small so that's why you'll need to wait sometimes.
