Went here for brunch and had a great experience overall. We ordered the bottomless mimosas, which came with a few different juices that were all really good. I do wish the refills came around a little more frequently, but it wasn't a big deal and we still enjoyed them. I also tried their pancakes and I'm very glad I only ordered one because it was very filling. It had a super airy, pillowy texture. I would have preferred it with slightly less syrup. Nevertheless this is definitely the kind of pancake that could easily be shared. The ambiance was really fun and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. We were seated in the private space upstairs, which was great for our group since it gave us our own area to hang out. It did get a little warm up there, but overall it was really nice having a more private space. Overall, a really enjoyable brunch spot with good food, great vibes, and friendly service. read more

I can't even begin to express how wonderful this place is. The food is sooooo good and the service is impeccable. My daughter picked this place to have her Sweet 16 bday party/brunch. We bought out the back patio and it was super affordable. The communication went smoothly, even with them being a new restaurant. The restaurant is modern and the plants give it such a good vibe. They even have good music yall!! When I learned they were afflicted with Joe's Modern Thai, I knew we were in good hands. I want to personally thank Sam, Chef Juan and Kcyln. Our second time dinning at the new breakfast eatery "The Peach" and this has def became our new weekend spot. Reservations are highly recommended especially if you are a late riser. Kao was our server and honestly he made our breakfast experience 5 stars. Thanks Kao! He let us tour upstairs & gave us some of the history of how the new restaurant came about. I haven't written a yelp review in over 6 years and felt compelled to rave about this new place. Ambiance - 5/5 cozy, cute, & trendy. The patio isn't open yet due to weather but warm weather is around the corner! Food - 4.5/5 the flavors are amazing and unique to the non Asian fusion palate--like my bf. His go to is always shrimp n grits, happy to see this place has a take on it. If you're a fan, TRY THE CURRY SHRIMP & CONGEE!! Their pancakes have a slight lemon flavor and tbh I crave these along with the chicken Chinese sausage all week. I guess my only draw back is the inconsistency, although very minor. This is the second time I have been there. The first time was Mother's Day and my waitress plus timing of food delivery was excellent. I'm not opposed to a service charge in fact I tipped over for my first waitress. Not sure her name but she was a tiny African American girl with colored eyes. Today unfortunately it did not meet my standards for an automatic tip. My server was Fabio and I literally sat there for at least 20 minutes after I was done eating and my food and plates were cleared before I could get my check. Been waiting for a while for this place to open. What a great location this is, smacked right in the center of Lakeshore ave. Right near to chipotle and Arizmendi's . We started with the house made buttermilk biscuits, mmMmm those were soooo delicious!!! The biscuits also feels like a croissant and a biscuit had a baby. The warm biscuit topped with that homemade honey butter that just melts..... highly recommended! I ordered the "shrimps and Grits" and boy it did not disappoint! I love shrimp and grits and porridge has always been my comfort food. You put those bad boy together and...plus a nice kick... PERFECTION. This genius idea tastes as good as it sounds... then you go and cook the shrimp soft, crisp, and tenderrrrr!?! Absolutely recommend. My friend ordered the Lucky Peach Plate. He got the scrambled eggs and Chinese sausages. Of course he added the pancakes AND French toast... cause why not!?! Next up was the smashed fried chicken sando, the chicken was fried perfectly, juicy moist chicken... ohhh that honey aioli thoooooo . I've been to the peach once, and while I would give it 3.5 stars, the positive attitude and ownership of the service staff made up for a few issues during my dining experience. I can here as part of a party of two during Sunday brunch. When I walked up, they said they would add us to the waitlist and the wait the would be about 15 minutes- we would get a text when the table was ready. The ambiance was noticeably bright, stylish and clean, and the music was bumping. We went over to Arizmendi next door and got a coffee while we waited for our text. I think something is off with their reservation/wait system because I never got a text as I was told. We checked in 30 minutes later and they sat us immediately, without realizing we were still in their system. I hope they can work that out- and I'm glad we checked in when we did since we didn't get a text about our table being ready. We noticed different staff were rotating roles throughout service, so maybe this was part of what caused the confusion. Once we were at our table, we ordered mimosas and biscuits to start, and steak and eggs to share. Several other parties got seated 10-15 mins after us so we expected the entrees would take more time. Our biscuits came out first- dense but yummy with honey butter. The drinks took an additional 10 minutes to arrive. Our waiter checked in with us a few times and throughout the course of the morning and we kept checking in on our entrée. After we checked in the third time about our entree, about 45 minutes into service, our waiter realized she never actually put our order and told us they had to fire up our food because there was a miscommunication. The parties around us that were seated after us were already paying the bill. They were kind enough to offer us complementary coffee, which we took them up on. Our steak and eggs arrived and the dish was tasty, especially the chimichurri that accompanied the steak. I think they have to iron out issues with their seating and ordering systems. The service was kind, just slow/unattentive at times, and the food was delicious. I would love to return once they were out any kinks in their systems. read more

The food here is amazing! This is the best place in Oakland to go for brunch. My girlfriend and I came here last week for the first time, and we were sat down right away. We shared the rockfish, which was lightly fried, but very flavorful, moist and tender. We also had the pollo a la brasa, with a lightly charred skin, but also moist and delicious. Cute spot but subpar experience. Took about 20 minutes for someone to greet us and take our order. Ordered 2 burritos & chicken and waffle. When our order was brought out, one of the burritos had shrimp in it and the server let us know the chef hadn't told him which one was which. Luckily we didn't have allergies! Chicken was almost like popcorn chicken? Was okay. One of the burritos had shrimp, would've been delicious if I didn't have to dig for shrimps with shells still on it. It was my first time at the Peach and I got seated right away ON FATHERS DAY! It was great even though it was busy. Diego and Jackie were great servers! They always made sure we were okay and checked in on us whenever needed. They were super sweet and personable and helpful. The food was sooo good. Okay, where do I start? I'm a blogger, so I will try to make this short and bitter. I will start with the positive: Service: Kennedy, our server, was GREAT! My sister and I loved her. Very attentive & friendly. The ambiance was awesome! Open, bright, sunny, and welcoming. The coffee was strong and bold. However, they delivered with no cream, no sugar, and no spoon (I guess my fork will work). Food: YUCK. I got the chicken and waffles... let's deconstruct this meal, as it's served all on top of each other with some type of honey drizzled on top. (Not sure HOW this is one of their "signature dishes", more like a forged signature;o) The chicken was light, no seasoning, but served hot. I give it a 3/10. The bacon was almost raw, nothing but uncooked fat. 2/10. The waffle, OMG, YUCK, YUCK & YUCK again. It's made with cornmeal/ (who does that). The pancakes are also made with cornmeal. If you are looking for fluffy, you are better off eating your child's fluffy teddy bear; it will digest better. It was a dry, hard, cold, no-flavor cornbread disk, and they had the nerve to serve it with NO butter. 0/10 My sister got the Huevos Rancheros, let's just say 4/10. It was missing the salsa (then they said they don't have any). How is that possible? But had something close (lies). The salsa juice they brought over was the temp. of FIRE, and it was more like a thick liquid. The server said she would have the manager come over...well, we are STILL waiting on him to show his face ( 3 days later). We waited an hour, and he never showed up. I've visited twice now, and while the food has been pretty good, my second experience left me feeling a bit disappointed. After enjoying my second mimosa, about 20 minutes later, the waiter approached us to inform us of the 90-minute limit on our table. (we were about 15 minutes out from that mimosa glass still have full) I had also asked several times for a water refill and some condiments, but it didn't seem to register. Awkwardly, the lovely asian woman sitting next to leaned over and said, "Are they kicking you out?" It turns out she frequently comes here with friends and lingers for hours without issue. Honestly, I felt more hurt than anything else. I've always recommended this place to friends, but after this experience, I'm not sure I can do so with confidence anymore. The waitress simply said sorry and walked away. They then brought my cake out and then left to go clean. They didnt leave any plating, silverware nor even a knife to cut the cake. Small details make the difference between a sub par experience and a great experience. Customer Service and attention to minute details can and should be greatly improved. After avoiding breakfast places due to the cost increases that entered the picture in about 2019-2020, I was pleased to see the return of padded seats (after decades of hard wooden chairs being the trend). What was off-putting is the food quantity vs. quality vs. cost. For $28 (gratuity inserted into bill), I received a drink and an entree consisting of frozen dinner style tater tots with a splash of ketchup, two scrambled no frills eggs, and two "sausages" that were so skinny they were like were like those then useless bathrooms rugs that slip around everywhere. I miss the days when any given place had flavorful eggs, three pieces of thick sausages, home fries, fresh orange juice, and a coffee -- all with generous portions for $20 max out the door. Maybe the new name of the game for breakfast places is customers bringing the food and the restaurant cooks and serves. With the food loss overhead out of the way, the bill could be made manageable and profit potentially increased. Understandably, this may also be some ludicrous violation of some regulations that no sane person would ever want to read without their brain melting out their ears. I realize the restaurant business is hard, and I really don't mean to sound harsh, but all three key aspects being askew is challenging scenario. Hopefully, they can improve on things, as I really want to like this place otherwise. read more

The Peach is absolutely wonderful! The food, coffee, and drinks are all amazing, and the atmosphere is welcoming for everyone and any occasion. I have so many favorites that it's hard to choose just one. Today I tried the Chef's Omelette--perfectly cooked eggs with a subtle spiciness, mushrooms, and spinach that came together beautifully. You can really taste the chef's expertise. Even the bread impressed me--light, flavorful, and not heavy at all. We also tried their weekend dinner, and it was fantastic! The maitake mushrooms were so good we ordered them twice. Their popular chicken wings, pork belly, shrimp, and grilled chicken were all delicious.
