The wait staff was very accommodating; but I came there for food, so ... let's get into it: Portions were "prison food" small. I got The Peach Plate ... 3 eggs, crispy fried potatoes, extra crispy bacon, a side of grits, biscuit, and a coffee and mimosa /Eggs were plain and the smallest assemblage of 3 eggs that I had ever seen /Crispy fried potatoes were just gross. Cold, so not crispy, and the first bite tasted a little like it could have been infused with pee (although total transparency, I've never actually drank pee). /The bacon was neither warm or extra crispy as requested. In fact, it flopped when I picked it up ... a clear indicator of it not being a crispy fry. Sadly only 2 (not very big) slices. /and the grits... good lawd the grits, were sitting in a small bowl, covered in (what I thought was) water. I bravely decided to taste it and was happy that it wasn't bland on first taste; but it was in that second taste that I realized that the this soupy presentation was standing in chicken broth! I thought "what in the tryin' to do too much", was this supposed to be! I had already sent the potatoes back and asked for a biscuit instead, so I just let the grit concoction sit there, pretending to be grits, that didn't understand that they were actually soup! /The mimosa was just as everything else, was portion sized for a child. It was served in a huge wine glass, so the pour looked like it was trying too hard to seem legit. ... the best part was the biscuit. So if you just wanna have a DEI morning, out n' about and having coffee and biscuits in a spot that is close to the lake, then that's a decent choice. But you have been warned (at least on The Peach Plate), it's really just mid and the food gives "glorified Denny's" Oh and be aware, they include an automatic 18% tip for the table! I was through. Went for breakfast with my son (8 years old)Saturday July 11. Ordered the Biscuits and Fried Chicken with gravy on the side and a guava juice my son ordered the golden pancake with a hot chocolate. In the middle of eating my son had to use the bathroom ( we were in the bathroom for about 5 minutes) and when we came back to our table they had cleared our food and cleaned the table. I had only eaten half of my meal and my son about a 1/4 of his meal. I was offered an apology from the host. He also offered to remake our meal but both my son and I were upset at this point and refused the offer. I asked for the bill thinking I would receive some sort of discount but to my surprise was given the full bill. I paid the bill, did not leave a tip and left. The cabbage app was very small as well but also delicious. Considering these were just apps, the portion sizes were not a deal breaker. For the entree, my friend and I ordered the chicken which was very large and shareable and juicy and delicious. I normally don't like to order chicken because it can be dry or basic but this chicken was pretty special and came with different dipping sauces. There was a previous table that got seated behind the hostess stand and moved to the patio due to how sunny the table was. FOOD Smashed fried chicken and pancake - pancake tasted mushy, almost like undercooked. It was flat wasn't fluffy. Didn't taste ricotta at all. The chicken batter was weird, not what I had expected for fried chicken. Smashed Laab burger - another disappointment. The patty was bland and just tasted like ground pork. Lobster club - this was probably the best dish, just toasted bread, bacon with lobster SERVICE was what meh. The runners that brought out the food did not bring butter and syrup with the pancakes, and we had to ask for it but they brought back ketchup and syrup instead. AMBIANCE & DECOR. Yes, it's cute and modern. But they should consider getting some blinds and shades installed. I'm sure lots of people will complain about the sun. Everything sounded better than it tasted. The food was good and solid except for some stellar exceptions like the Thai tea cinnamon roll and the French toast that were delicious. The waitress said the congee was spicy and I found it mild (and I have a low tolerance for spice). The restaurant is super cute and Instagram worthy. We had a party of 4 and 3 of us sat while we waited for the last person to come about 5 minutes later. Before he came, we put in our pretty standard drink orders of coffees and a sparkling lemonade. He came and sat and ordered a Bellini and got his drink before any of ours. Then when ours had come, we had the tiniest splash of milk for 2 cups and the sweetener that I asked for instead of sugar wasn't there. I had to ask 3 times before someone brought it out!! So I basically just had to wait until my coffee was cold to drink it. Then we started to put in our food orders just to be told that one of the items was out. Oh and she added what else wasn't available. I don't understand why we weren't told that at the beginning. So we asked for a minute to regroup and when she came back, we gave her last item on our order and she went over what we ordered and missed items! We were nervous when she didn't write it down. Oh and once we ordered the bulk of our items, 3 of our menus were taken because "it's getting busy and we need them." Then we waited... and waited... and watched people who sat well after us get their food. Then finally food comes to our table, but it wasn't our food! It was for the table next to us! Finally all but one of our items comes out and the waitress tells us that the cinnamon roll was 86'ed because it was taking too long to come out so they stopped servicing it and she would take it off our bill. Then 30 seconds later, what comes out?? A cinnamon roll! We had to ask for small plates to share our food 3 times. The food was delicious but once again, it took multiple asks to get boxes. Then we finally put a card for our bill and paid and the waitress leaves and then a second later, another person comes around to help us close our bill!! We didn't get that much service for things we needed but extra service to pay???? Also there is an 18% gratuity pre added and the option to add more. Our party joked that they have to add it ahead of time because the service is so bad that they may not get tips otherwise. It's self Parking on the street, you do have to pay, but I'm not sure what the hours are or how it works. It's also bigger than what it looks like from the outside. But they were!!! So I ordered the open omelette with all the veggies on it and added extra bacon, now babbbbyyyyy!!! The bacon texture and taste was ON POINT - not fried too hard or too soft and the part that is cooked well have a nice nice little bite to it... uhm, the omelette was little cold for me, and I had to add salt and peeper and siracha ( hopefully I spelled that correctly ).. they did not have hot sauce no crystal you guys.. lol and the open omelette came with some potatoes on the side... I wanted some sour cream so bad with them. But they didn't have sour cream ... but I wish now they had a little bacon , cheese, sour cream and chives on them!!!! They would have been FIRE... but they were so good!!! I HAD THE SWEETEST WAITRESS NAME KENNEDY, she was so pretty and her eyes were amazing. She was so attentive and professional !!! My first time here came in with a friend for breakfast. My first time here. My friend arrived first they allowed her to sit and order a beverage until I arrived. I arrived and was greeted and order taken quickly. There were only a few people inside but it filled up quickly. I had the chicken and waffles. It was good. It could have used a little more seasoning but that was not a deal breaker. My friend enjoyed her omelette. We also enjoyed the fruit which was very fresh. Our server Abraham was very nice and patient. Christopher the manger was very nice he came over once we had our food to check to see if everything was to our liking. He also spoke with us upon exiting to see how we liked the restaurant and the service. We encouraged us to come back and told us more about their menu at night and their sister restaurant. This cute restaurant was opened by the same owners of Jo's Modern Thai, I believe. The decor is so cute and they even have a semi-private dining area upstairs. The food was OH SO DELICIOUS! My girlfriends and I shared the biscuits (that honey butter was sooooooo good), Susu steak and eggs, the Sesame Cesar salad with crispy chicken, and a side of fries and fruit. The steak was cooked PERFECTLY and the Sesame Cesar was refreshing but also filling, especially with their crispy chicken which was also just as delicious. We all ordered mimosas and love that you get an option of puree (I opted for guava). The drinks took a while to make it to the table, but that being said, they did just open recently (maybe a month or two ago!?) I finally got to try The Peach after seeing it pop up everywhere in my algorithms this year! We were seated very quickly, which was a good start, but honestly, the service here is so disappointing. They definitely need to train the servers! The food here is the only reason to power through the service issues. I absolutely loved my biscuits and gravy! The gravy was so good with the biscuits, and adding the chicken sausage (a great recommendation from our initial server) was a chef's kiss moment. I love, love, love that they have chicken sausage and that it actually tasted good. My husband also really enjoyed the chicken and waffle. (P.S. My order was supposed to come with eggs, which I never got.) Our original server was nice and gave a great recommendation, but then she randomly disappeared with zero communication. From that point on, we were basically ignored. They never checked on us the whole time we ate. My matcha latte was another miss: I don't like spending the \bm{\$1} extra for oat milk (maybe that's just me?), and I asked for it to be sweetened, but it wasn't. Since nobody checked on us, I had no one to tell. The worst part was trying to pay. I had to ask the same guy twice for my check while I was still eating. I told a "manager" that the eggs were missing when the check finally came, and asked them to discount the bill accordingly. I had to wait a full 30 minutes just to get the check, despite checking in repeatedly. When it finally arrived, it still wasn't correct. This was so, so annoying and completely ruined the experience for me. I also don't like the gratuity being automatically included, especially because the service was so horrible. I get the business model, but if the service is that bad, you should be able to remove it. The food is amazing, and I will definitely come back. This place is absolutely gorgeous, my friend and I were admiring the aesthetics here, a very clean, modern, and contemporary vibe. As for the food we went with our server's recommendations: Biscuits with honey butter - Biscuits had nice, flakey layers but the house made honey butter was truly the star! I am ADDICTED. Fried chicken & pancakes - The perfect dish for sweet & savory. Pancakes were fluffy, dusted with powdered sugar and served with syrup & peach jam. Do yourself a favor and ask your server for a side of their honey butter! The jam is quite tart but when paired with the butter and syrup, it's very well balanced. The fried chicken was also really good, very crispy, flakey, and airy, a unique texture I've never had on fried chicken. Steak & eggs: We ordered this dish medium rare with scrambled eggs and I was honestly blown away by the steak. The cook was perfect and the flavor was sooo good. It's also served with a side salad and crispy potatoes. Overall, I had an amazing time dining here. I love The Peach's Asian twist on traditional American brunch. Came here for restaurant week with the girls and had a wonderful time seated in the back patio. We actually didn't know it was Restaurant Week in Oakland so we were pleasantly surprised. I got here about 30 minutes prior to the meet up time to put our names down for a table of 6 and they were actually ready for us a lot faster especially for a Saturday at 11am. Originally they said they were going to give us a private room since it happened to be empty, but by the time the entire group showed up, they seated us outside instead. Oh well! The patio was nice, a little chilly and they didn't turn on the heat lamp even though we asked a few times. Still, it was a nice space and didn't feel crowded. The food was really good and was definitely such a good deal for 1 drink, appetizer, and entree. Highlights for me were : - Char Siu Toast - Thai Tea Cinnamon Roll - Curry Shrimp and Congee Sooooo good and so much flavor. Definitely a fan of asian fushion brunch. One thing to note is that on Saturdays there is a farmers market right around the corner, so the parking situation in the area is not great. Please plan for parking accordingly! read more

The Good: 1) I was offered free white wine since the peach at night started a few weeks ago. 2) the roti isn't oily 3) the cornbread is tasty The bad: 1) the Lamb shank entree was underwhelming. It comes with roti at the bottom and gravy all over it. The roti gets soggy the way the dish comes. There are no vegetables just a shank of meat. The lamb was not flavorful. I had to order rice since it doesn't come with anything but roti. Very disappointing dish. In my opinion, and entree should have some vegetable, some semblance of being healthy-even if it's just arugula, it's something. Their lamb dish was just meat and one roti piece. 2) The Peach at Night automatically added an 18% gratuity to my bill then they had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to tip. What's the point of you charging me 18% if you're going to also ask me for a tip? I didn't get service that deserved 18% I got service that deserved a 10% tip but since they forced me to pay 18% I did not leave a tip. I do not like when businesses use customers to subsidize their wages. Pay your employees a living wage instead of forcing me to pay 18% for a subpar meal that was forgettable. It's a No for me dawg. Ooof another miss. Wanted to show support to this spot since it didn't open too long ago but I probably won't be coming back. There was a wait for Sunday afternoon. Arrived at about 11:30am and they said there would be a wait for about 45 minutes. No biggie! We could just walk around for the time being since it was a lovely day out! We finally got seated and we got to peruse the menu before we got in so we knew what we wanted and ordered right away. We were sitting there patiently waiting for our food and I noticed a few other tables who were sat after us getting their food first. So I made a comment to my husband like "hey didn't we come first?" And maybe someone heard us because one of the severs came by shortly after and asked if we put in our order, and we said yes. She had me point out who our server was. She comes back and tells us that our order was not put in by our server and that they would give us drinks on the house. My husband was pretty upset and didn't get anything but I just got a matcha just to get one. The sever who "took our order" came over and apologized for forgetting to put in our order, which I appreciated. But, the fact remains...we were sitting there for like 30-40 minutes waiting for our food that was never even put in! Food came out and it was just OK. We got the breakfast burrito and shrimp and grits. The server came over and asked us how our food was because she "valued our opinion". She was also telling us to come to another event and that she hopes we have a better experience THE NEXT TIME WE COME (the audacity). When we asked for the bill the matcha included which was annoying. We had to get the server to take it off for us. And to my surprise an automatic 18% gratuity charge was added to our bill. Hmmmmm...I am not sure if I would give this place 18% worth of tips on my food that was overpriced, mediocre, and service that was lack luster. They have changed their menu. Unfortunately I prefer the earlier version. Fried chicken and pancakes was much better than the fried chicken and waffle. Well actually I prefer the pancake over the waffle however the new fried chicken is actually good. When we went, there was no biscuits, apparently they burnt the batch. I had the new pancakes was kinda good but also unsure. The ricotta pancakes I think was much better. I do not foresee myself going back. I truly think they made an error changing the menu. read more

Every dish we had was executed perfectly, but what really stood out was the fish from the secret menu--easily one of the best fish dishes I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with intention. That said... the real star of the night was the miso cornbread. Hands down my favorite thing I ate in January 2026. Savory, slightly sweet, comforting, and unforgettable--I'm still thinking about it.
