I've gotten two peels from Nidah (owner) with my first experience with chemical peels being with her. She knows her practice very well and has good recommendations on products and how to take care of your skin and potential problem areas post peel. After my 2 peels, my skin was noticeably better with the most significant change being texture. I have been struggling with acne scars for many years which has resulted in a lot of bumpy weird texture that is now essentially gone -- with only two peels! However, not all of the pigment from my scars is gone but it has noticeably lifted to at least some extent and I'm sure if I would continue to get peels then it would be a lot better. However, I am no longer in LA so it is not as easy for me. Really recommend going here! Especially if you are just starting to look into chemical peels, Nidah is great at explaining what she is doing and making sure you are comfortable with the entire process. Honesty is the BEST policy, so here is my opinion of my recent experience. Not to worry, I was pleased with the results however, when it comes to the service, I didn't feel as though there was anything impressive about a person who purchases GREAT products and applies them without any special technique. The entire process should last 20mins, she's a great conversation and I guess she wants you to feel like you're getting you're money's worth. My experience wasn't bad, it was good however, it was not great (wonderful etc.) as some reviews are claiming. Nidah wasn't as knowledgeable about skin care as I would have expected as an esthetician, she seems knowledgeable on the product line that she carries and if all she does is apply a topical "peel" to your face and have you wait 15mins before you leave (no wash required), I can save myself the time and money by simply purchasing the products myself and doing this at home. She is a nice person, if you're unable to buy the products yourself, I recommend her. If not, its makes more economical sense to just buy the products and do the 2-step peel process yourself. I originally went to Nidah several years ago for my first ever peel. It was a quick, painless and easy process, resulting in a positive experience. One that even my husband noticed the results from and commented how my complexion had improved (this never happens!). Now several years later, I decided it was time for more focused treatment to minimize the splotchy hyperpigmentation on my face. It was easy to make an appointment, which I appreciate. When I went in this time, Nidah looked at my complexion, and despite getting regular facials, she was the first to tell me that what I thought was hyperpigmentation was actually melasma.
