Shower was beautiful and the faces the windows so you can see all the sailboats from the bed.

We received great service. They gave us coupons to some of the near by restaurants. Our cottage was cute and clean and looks like the bathroom was new, the shower was a beautiful ocean color tile and big! Our bed faced the windows to a view of the water with sailboats in the distance, beautiful to see laying in bed, didn't need the TV on, hahhaha. They offer free kayaks to use, they give you 2 hours to explore, we seen stingrays which was awesome. Very pretty place, sat on the dock with a drink and watched the sunset.

Cute property. We didn't stay long. We checked in late at night, and checked out early in the morning. So I didn't really get a chance to explore all that they had to offer. The room was really tiny. Just a bed and a bathroom. Which I guess was all that you need? We weren't mad about that. My problem was more so the air-conditioning. There's a window unit on the wall. It was very noisy. It also was continuously kicking on and off. So you couldn't fall asleep because it was making so much noise turning on and off the whole night. Finally I turned it on "fan only" so it was a continuous noise. Within about an hour the whole room was so humid I was soaking wet.... an impossible situation.

Pros - it's in Key Largo and has access to the water and kayaks. Room was clean and appeared recently updated. Cons - room had an overwhelming odor of some perfumed cleaner. The free breakfast was packaged pastries, cereals, and juice/coffee. Please don't advertise that you offer breakfast when you're providing little more than a cheap snack. In our room, the "hibiscus", the air conditioner unit was positioned directly over one bed in a window. It ran off and on all night and was loud as heck. It didn't keep the room cool despite setting it to 70 degrees F. There has to be a better place to stay in Key Largo - this just doesn't cut it at the price we paid for one night ($200).

This is an amazing place to stay if you really want a relaxing key largo get away with a homey feel to it! On our recent trip to Miami we decided to take a few days to relax in the Keys. I did my research and found these cottages tucked away in Key Largo. Which only a handful of cottages and a private beach, this was what I was looking for. We rented the SailAway Suite with a private beach, back patio with bar and dock. It's a perfect place for a couple or a family. It's 1 queen been with a pullout couch, full fridge and a 2 burner electric skillet. The dock had a daybed to lay out at the end of it! The property was so amazing we decided to head to the local store and grab a few things to grill on Weber grills proved. Kayaks were provided for a 2 hour period. We took advantage for that and did an evening/sunset tour. The only reason I can not give 5 stars, is because it is a little dated as far decor, furnishings and electrics. 5 stars for property, private beach, staff and relaxation. We will defiantly be back again

This place looks like something out of a 60's/70's surf movie. There are few things I love more than that decade of surf movies, so I was immediately smitten. It's a Bruce Brown film made into a little camp of palm trees and cottages. We were checked in by a cute hippie and sent to our tiny room that we reserved ahead of time called "The Banana Room" which I know sounds like a male strip club private suite, but I really like bananas...and dick, soooo.... Now when I say this room was "tiny" I mean that I could have folded it up and put it in my pocket. It was like 10x6...you know, the size of the large unit at Public Storage? Well this room would have fit inside it...with room to spare. I both hated and loved it. The actual property was beautiful. Right on the water, hammocks and kayaks (free for guests to use) and lots of places to sit and relax. We were able to walk to a bar down the way and dinner from here, but in general, there isn't much around this part of Key Largo. We bought a bottle of champagne at the CVS across the street and enjoyed it while we watched the sunset from one of the tables over the water...absolutely perfect. They have serve-yourself breakfast in the mornings in the little kitchen and it was superrrrr cute (just basic continental breakfast crap, but the kitchen and dining areas were adorable). I would stay here again I think, but I would probably book a bigger room and would again only stay for one night. It's the perfect place when you need a vacation from your vacation. Oh my god, what a spoiled little brat I sound like/am.

Great place to stay in the Keys! The rooms and beachfront are very clean and quiet, staff are friendly, and good vibes abound. Breakfast was disappointing -- sliced bread, cereal and packaged sweets, no fruit or protein, with lots of styrofoam -- but supermarkets are nearby to stock your fridge. There are both single and double kayaks to take out on the water, all of which seemed to be in decent shape. Water along the beach is perfect for wading or swimming, or just dipping your feet and watching the tiny fish swim around them. Check-out is a little early (11am) but you can stay later and enjoy the beach; there's a shower and bathroom near the breakfast area and the whole place is pretty empty between 10am and 3pm.

This place was the hidden gem surprise of our vacation. Here are just some of the perks: -super crazy clean -nice vibe -cheap -good location -nice hammock/lounge chair/dock -laundry facilities -cute decor -friendly staff

We really shopped around for a budget friendly place to stay and I highly recommend this place if you're ever in Key Largo. It's really cute and the least expensive place I could find during spring break season. It's an unbelievable deal! Plus the kayak rentals are free for hotel guests! And of course they have their own little beach and docks... it's a total steal! We are loving it! We are staying in a suite with two rooms and it's super nice with an amazing view. But this whole place is really tiny and cute. The staff are super friendly. Only complaint was there wasn't much soap in the room when we got here, but I bet if I go ask for more they would be happy to give it to me. They are very accommodating!

Pretty cool cottages that were probably built in the 1950's. Staff was great and they have kayaks that you can use. Easy snorkeling off of the docks and great location. The rooms are a little tired but they were updating while we were there. I think we will be back.

Awesome place...like others have said, very clean. My wife checked the mattresses and every nook and cranny. I love the vibe, we sat at the docks, enjoying the view, sunset and relaxing while drinking some cold brews from our cooler. Spectacular sunset! It's somewhat worn and it's the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star

Our daughter was recently married here and we did a full three-night resort buyout. While the property itself is absolutely stunning the nine months leading up to the wedding were incredibly frustrating. Communication was consistently poor--weeks would go by without any response. We were promised a Florida Resident Discount by two different general managers, but it was never honored. (This is a significant discount that we did not get as promised). In total, we went through four general managers, each making new promises that never materialized. Even weeks before the wedding, when we were trying to make final payment, we couldn't get a response. When I finally raised concerns with the newest manager, her response was, "I have like six brides all contacting me at once." With all due respect, that's not how you handle a time-sensitive, stressful situation for a bride and her family. To add to the confusion, their website still showed units available just days before our event--even though we had rented out the entire resort. The units themselves are not equipped as expected either--we had to go out and purchase basic items like dish towels, a dish scrubber, pot holders, and more. Their new lanai roof leaks and ruined a couple of the custom built items we thought were safely stored since it's a brand new structure. We unpacked the U-Haul when we got home and had cockroaches in a few of the things stored in the main house.

The Bungalows felt like a piece of Paradise. When you first…read morearrive, you are greeted by valet staff. Parking is free if you brought a car. We chose to rent and drive from the airport because we had a trip to Key West planned. It's about a 90 minute drive from the airport so, an Uber would have been pretty costly. The valet takes care of your luggage and places it on a golf cart while you check in. The check in process took about 10 min. The front desk staff wasn't super friendly but they weren't rude either. They are supposed to offer you a drink, but we were not offered one by our receptionist while the couple next to us were offered one. No biggie. One thing to note: when you book, 50% is due. Then the other 50% is due thirty days prior to your arrival if you switch your source of payment, they charge you 10%. That same card has do be used for gratuity or add ons. Keep this in mind when you plan. Also, they put a $100/day hold on your card when you check in. After check in, the valet takes you on a tour of the property and then brings you to your room. You'll want to have cash for gratuity for the valet. The Bungalows themselves are gorgeous and offer an outdoor area and outdoor shower. I don't think the beach view bungalows are worth the upgrade. After that, you're on your own for the most part. They schedule your dinner, but other than Bogie and Bacall, they are pretty flexible. Fish Tales is the main restaurant. They offer a four course meal. The food was great. I wouldn't say "amazing" but really well done. The service is impeccable. This is an all inclusive bur gratuity isn't included. This was annoying and probably my biggest complaint. At the end of your meal you are handed a check of all you consumed with a recommend range of gratuity. You put in what you want to leave and sign it and leave. The issue is, it's hard to keep track of how much you're spending. So if you're on a budget, that can be a problem. At night everyone gathers around the tiki bar to enjoy the entertainment. There is only one bad and it fills quickly. The bartenders are also filling drink orders for the pool, and in some situations, Sea Seniors next door. You can also order food at the tiki bar if you choose. It's basic bar food and pizza but quite delicious. There is live entertainment daily from 11-11. There was trivia one night, and karaoke another. But there were no real events offered. In the mornings everyone heads to Fishtales for breakfast. There is a good variety of choices, including a buffet. They do not change it up at all though. So it can get a little boring day after day. They also have a mimosa and bloody Mary self serve bar. Pro tip, bring your own yeti and take two plastic cups of minosa and some ice and put them in your yeti for the pool. There are no drinks served until 11 am at the pool which was pretty odd in my opinion. The tiki bar also doesn't open until 11. It was off season but I will say that the pool didn't really get busy. There are two pools. Ok is a zen pool with little cabana beds. It's more quiet there but the main pool was described as the party pool and he was really chill too. There are about 12 pairs of lounge chairs and umbrellas and two big cabanas with couches. It didn't seem like there would be enough but it ended up to be plenty. We w They have servers come around the pool but it takes quite a bit to get your drinks so pack your patience. They also give you a bill at the end with what you ordered and suggested gratuity. It was easy to forget and just leave so I hated this process. I would have rather been charged a daily gratuity to be split between the staff but that's not what they want to do. Bogie and Bacalls: you get a free night there if you stay for more than 4 days. If you don't it's $300 plus gratuity. This was their high end restaurant and it wand spectacular! You get a ton of food and premium drinks. Expect to tip about $100 here. There is an indoor bar/speakeasy called Hemingways. This is not included in your stay. It's premium cocktails and liquor. There is also the "Family Room" which is a giant indoor/outdoor game room. There are no servers there. If you have a yeti, you could grab a few drinks from the tiki bar and keep it cold. There is a huge TV so we were able to watch the USA game on it with a few other guests. I chose to get a massage. It's a beautiful area of the park but there's no way that 50 min massage was worth $300 + 22% gratuity. They offer water activities. No one was using them. There are some other ads ons but very few guests chose to do them. Overall this is a wonderful, very chill spot and I can see why many guest come back year after year. I wish there were more dining and bar options, and more events offered. The cost was pretty high for what they offer. But we had an amazing time and I'm so glad we did it!

    - Disappointing Stay, Misleading Photos, Poor Response from Management…read more My wife and I stayed in the La Palma Suite for her birthday getaway. We chose this property based on the photographs shown online and the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Unfortunately, our actual experience was very different. The biggest issue was that the room we received did not reflect the condition portrayed in the photos. While it appears the property may have been renovated years ago, much of what we found showed significant wear and deferred maintenance. Some of the issues we encountered included: * A bed that creaked loudly with virtually any movement, making it difficult to sleep. * Shower water that never became truly hot and had very low water pressure. * Mold or mildew buildup visible beneath the sink rim and inside the sink overflow opening. * Rust and corrosion on bathroom fixtures. * Upholstered furniture that was stained, worn, and damaged. * A closet door that would not properly close because it was off track. * Exterior areas that looked noticeably different from the photographs used in advertising. * General cleanliness and maintenance concerns throughout the suite. After reporting the bed issue, management acknowledged the problem and offered to move us to another room with a new mattress. We packed our belongings and prepared to move. However, before the move could occur, the replacement room was reassigned to another guest. We were later informed that because we had not responded quickly enough, the room was no longer available. What disappointed me most was not simply the condition of the room, but the lack of meaningful resolution after management recognized there was a problem. Once a room change was offered, I believe it should have been held until direct contact was made with the guest. To be fair, my wife and I still enjoyed our time in the Florida Keys and had a wonderful birthday celebration. The location is beautiful. However, the accommodations themselves did not meet the expectations created by the property's marketing photographs, and management's handling of the situation left us disappointed. I encourage future guests to look carefully at recent traveler photos and ask questions about the current condition of the specific room they are booking before making a reservation.

The first impression when…read moredriving into the place was, "What could possibly be back here that is going to work for a wedding?" However, the answer to that was surprisingly great. The villas have separate rooms with common areas and the one I was in had three bedrooms. The bedroom situation was similar to a hotel room. A nice comfortable bed, a private bathroom, generous closet space, and - most importantly - a good stable temperature even with the thermostat being out in the hall. A ceiling fan helps with circulation, which is great too. The only real downside I can think of is that two of the bedrooms are on the second floor, and you need to take this into account with your luggage as there are no elevators. Well, that and the fact that the finish of the stairs blend into the floor at the bottom so if you are older this might make for a physical perception problem as well. Anyway... Parking is a little tight when the place is full, but the location worked out really well for the wedding ceremony. Out on the point you can see the sunset across the water in the evening. Manatees frequent the dock which are a sight to behold. Across the dock there was a nice flat area on hard sand that was perfect for the reception. Yes, there are water activities including dolphin interactions across the boarder from what are the villas, but I can't make any comment on that part since I didn't manage to even visit over there.
