Incredible brunch spot- I wanted to try all the dishes because they sounded so good! The only reason I took off one star was because it was so loud inside with the music and people's voices echoing off the walls with not much to absorb the sound. I was able to have a conversation with my friend, but definitely had to talk a little louder than normal. Service was great and attentive, cold brew was nice and strong. Yukon potatoes were perfectly crispy and salty- such a delight to eat! Also my first time trying bacon jam which was 10/10. Everything was so fresh and prepared correctly.

I went with my daughter. Baked cheese, croquettes, mushroom pasta, broccoli with hummus. They were little salty so matched with black beer. Outside patio was great.

Great atmosphere, great decor, great food. I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy so we were in and out in a timely manner. My food was so good, I cleared my plate. I had the chicken and grits and Omgosh, it was amazing! The grits were smooth and creamy with a little bit of texture, but you can tell these are the real deal grits, not that Quaker in box grits. The presentation is beautiful. The cheese and tomato sauce with the pickled onion were not a combination I would expect on grits. It took me by surprise but I loved every aspect of it. My mom loved her chicken and waffles. I have to come back and try that. Their mocktails were good but you have to give them a good stir before you slurp it down. Only downside is the bathroom is not wheelchair accessible; it's in the back and downstairs. They have a patio but that was full so we sat inside. I can't wait to come back and try something else.

Ok, I'll start this out by saying I was here for brunch and have not been for any other meal yet, so this is for you earlyriser brunch lovers like me. We were looking for a breakfast place and heard about the brunch at People's. Our friends said to get there early if you can because it's busy- and it was. The wait wasn't terrible, but there was a wait. Not sure if they do reservations for a larger party, but we were 3. The decor and ambiance is fun, fresh, and colorful. Makes you want to be there. The menu for brunch had a great variety and we tried to order a bit of everything to try. They make fresh whipped cream with different flavors, don't skip this on your coffee, it was sinful and decadent. The Mocktail was a delicious. The food was fantastic. The pancake name does not lie- and the homemade syrup- gah! Amazing. Portions were big. The meat on the Benny was tender and not fatty. The sausage gravy on the biscuit was definitely homemade and had such great flavor. The service was just as pleasant as the food and we can't wait to go back for a different meal. Totally worth the wait.

    Fish and chips. It's excellent.

This place is awesome. My mom and I came out to East Lansing to watch Jerry Neuheisal and the UCLA Bruins put the hurt on the Spartans. And we dined here after the game. What a great place! Super kind. Excellent food. Yall are great people in the Midwest.

The gnocchi was the best I have ever had, even compared to my travels in Italy. The blonde brownie was absolutely wonderful as well. The service was excellent from start to finish. I recommend trying the lavender cocktail or mocktail for a perfect touch.

People's Kitchen is a welcoming establishment with superb energy and decor. We have enjoyed them in the past for an occasional breakfast or work lunch. Most recently, we have appreciated the "pop-up's" they have been offering. We joined them for Caviar and Cocktails and were well pleased! Each piece of caviar was beautifully constructed and the melody of flavors was spot on. The French 75 was a perfect accompaniment for my palette!

If you are in the MSU area and you need a quick bite to eat from a solid burger joint, then People's Kitchen may be perfect for you. Everyone one at our table got the same burger and smash potatoes. We were all very satisfied. The restaurant is pretty big with both patio, indoor & bar seating available. Also shouts out to the waiter she was super nice and patience with us.

The food was amazing and the staff was great and helpful with suggestions. Drink menu seemed a little limited. Higher end prices so not the best spot for kids. I forgot to post when this happened in July so I don't remember much else. Worth a look though based on food, staff and ambiance.

There is accessible parking available which is great for east lansing. Also there are seats inside and outside. The ambiance inside is great. Plenty of colorful pieces of art on the walls. The service was pretty good. The server was knowledgeable on recommendations. We got the mussels as an appetizer and they were good. Nothing too great that I would order again but they were good. The ribeye on the other hand was amazing. Perfectly cooked to a medium rare temperature just like I wanted. The potatoes that came with the burger were also delicious. The burger itself was huge! The dessert is a must try! We tried two different ones and they were delicious!

I love the unusual menu and soda selection. The service is great. The decor is eclectic. The prices are just a tad high in my opinion.

I also liked the mismatched mugs. They seemed seriously understaffed, and service was very slow. We ordered drinks, and waited long enough for someone to come back to take our food order that we were starting to wonder if they thought we were only getting drinks. There was another long wait for our food. When it arrived, it arrived in batches. One person ordered three tacos, but the order was entered wrong, so they only got one to start, and they had to wait quite a while for the other two. The food was good overall, but the portions were quite small. I did like the Bourbon Street French toast, particularly the caramel sauce. It could have used more bananas though. The fried pickles were good, as were the spicy mozzarella sticks. The steak omelet's sauce was odd. The nachos were good. The coffee and lattes were good. The regular orange juice had less juice than one poured for our toddler. Overall it was alright, but I don't know that I'd go back.

Service was a little slow but did not alter our positive experience. We will definitely be coming back to try more things on the menu.

The salad someone else from our party ordered had a nice serving of beef on it and looked tasty.
