I needed scrapple. My friend told me I was driving through "scrapple country" on my way to Philadelphia Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It wasn't overly sweet and the bananas were cooked perfectly. I tried pork roll for the first time and it was good. The potatoes had great texture; skin on and crunchy. Nice little place, not a ton of seating so be prepared to wait on the weekends, but food is worth it. Omelettes are folded and thin, in the French style, and filled with plenty of selected fillings. Service is excellent and prices are very reasonable. Definitely putting this on repeat! read more

Been going to Peoples Kitchen since 2017. Every Friday we would meet for breakfast before work 6am. Then Covid hit & hrs changed. I get it. So we adapted & started doing take out. Was great for a while then they got busy & more popular & the food was inconsistent from week to week. Then they became to busy for take out & the working grunt. Probably 5 times in the last yr to busy to make 4 breakfast burritos. Guys, if you are to busy, don't offer take out. Feels like when u needed us we were there but now your popular among the yuppies & hipsters, no need for us anymore. Very disappointed. Went down the street to a place as small as them, every table and counter full, big difference, the came threw as the "working man's kitchen " Feel bad about this but nobody here wants me to get food from PK no more. Stopped here on the way to the Sands Casino. On first glance, it's easy to miss without a GPS but inside, the decor is rustic and cute - even if space is small. It's a family-owned business and everyone we encountered was warm and welcoming. They have a small breakfast and lunch menu but there was something for everyone. We tried the Breakfast Mac and Cheese, the Monte, and a customizable omelette. Everything tasted fresh and made-to-order. Their take on brunch classics was refreshing and unique. Amazing. Seriously such a gem and thank goodness for Yelp helping us discover it. It's a neighborhood place and everyone seems very familiar with each other. Not a ton of space but we didn't have trouble getting seated on a Sunday around 9am. There's seating up against an open kitchen, or regular tables throughout the restaurant floor. I got the breakfast Mac and cheese griddle with bacon and an egg. It was perfect. Not too heavy for breakfast, and satisfied all of my cravings. My husband ordered the Full Monty, and he says it was excellent. The bread was appropriately toasted, and it wasn't too heavy for a Montecristo sandwich. And they serve great coffee! read more

The waitress taking care of us was very nice and attentive. However, when we first walked in, there was an argument between one of the customers and a worker. I'm sure there was a valid reason for such a response since the customer was kicked out, that set the tone for our brunch. Likewise, we were looking forward to their mac and cheese but when we got it, it was very bland. The omelette that we had was okay, but the potatoes were actually very good. Overall, I have mixed feelings about this place. I'm hoping we just came in during a bad time, but we will not be coming back anytime soon. read more

Small, warm little cafe with a great ambiance playing calm music. Real family feel. Would choose this type of business for breakfast over a chain any day. I had an omelet with sausage, mushrooms, and jalapeños. Not a fan of pickled jalapeños but it gave a good flavor to the omelet so I ate it. Coffee was nice and hot! My boyfriend and I were looking for a great breakfast spot to try in his area. Bethlehem really has no shortage of amazing restaurants, but the menu at this place stood out to us particularly. We arrived here and thankfully were able to park for free because it is a holiday weekend. This restaurant, or its current pop-up location to be precise, is located on busy Main Street lined with a great diversity of other shops and restaurants. We ordered the breakfast mac and cheese with an over easy egg on top, which comes with potatoes, macaroni, bacon, and maple sausage. We also ordered the French toast crossaint with bourbon bananas. Unfortunately, we were told that they did not have any of the bourbon bananas. We settled for a mix of the berry compote and the triple chocolate topping, which is what we were offered in place of the bananas. The food took quite a long time to arrive, despite the restaurant not being all that busy. After waiting what seemed like a half hour, we finally got to try the food. My first impression of the crossaint French toast was that it was delicious. As I began to tear into it more and more, I realized that the berry compote was kind of bitter, and it was really good that it was mixed with chocolate, because on its own it would have been too much to handle. Overall, though, this dish was the better of the two we tried, and it made me wonder why more people do not make French toast out of crossaints. The breakfast mac and cheese was flawed in a few ways that would have been exceedingly easy to fix with a little foresight from the chef. For example, the dish includes a "potato bottom", but the potatoes were not seasoned at ALL. Just bland, bare potatoes at the bottom of the dish. There really isn't an excuse for that. Even a little bit of black pepper would have made this dish ten times better. I attributed this problem to perhaps the chef thinking that the salty sausage, bacon, and cheese would have carried the dish completely in terms of flavor. But, how wrong that is! There was not a single fleck of black pepper on the dish at all. So, we added hot sauce to the dish and it was immediately so much better. Still, some pepper, sautéed onion and/or garlic (or even onion and garlic powder), and other basic seasonings would have made the dish absolutely phenomenal. I would probably come back to try the peasant omelette, which includes lobster meat in it. That was the one other dish on the menu that I really wanted to try this morning, but I knew that my boyfriend and I would not have been able to finish it all if we bought it. However, there's really no excuse for this restaurant to not know how to season their food. It does make me a little nervous to try their other savory dishes in the event that those are also unseasoned. read more

My husband and I came here for a rare breakfast date of overall we were pleased. This place is small so get here earlier if you don't want to wait! We split the shrimp and grits crepes and the pancakes with bourbon bananas. I don't think the bananas cooked long enough. They weren't Carmelo ed but we're still tasty. We were in and out in about an hour and I think we would come back. I don't think this is a very kid friendly place. Was in town and popped into People's Kitchen for the first time during the week. My son needed a hair chair which was available. Initially I was told we'd need to wait about 15min for more adequate space to open up. Seemed odd cause their was a table that was open that would work. The only waitress there took it upon herself to get everything setup so the wait was very minimal. The menu is pretty small. It was a disappointment that they didn't have the shrimp and grits crepes. I ordered that croissant french toast with bourbon bananas. It was so good! Also tried the Hipster which was basically brie between toast and a side of green apple and honey. Upon walking in we instantly regretted our decision. It was a very uncomfortable feeling like we were intruding. We were seated in the back and sat for about 7 minutes before being asked to move to a different table. Once at the new table we sat for another 8 minutes when we decided maybe we should just leave but then someone finally acknowledged us and took our drink order. We didn't have our phones with us so we had to ask for menus. The whole vibe was very unwelcoming and awkward. The food was mediocre. The breakfast potatoes were burnt and the eggs over cooked. It really wasn't a great experience at all. We couldn't wait to leave. Definitely will not be our usual breakfast spot. read more

This was a last minute find and proved to be a 100% perfect decision. The menu is great, and I'm guessing changes on a regular basis. The pricing is really reasonable and the restaurant has counter and table service. There were 4 of us and we ordered the Mac&Cheese, Hen & Hog w/ scrapple (which is probably some of the best we've had and we're from the scrapple Capitol of the world), and two orders of pancakes, one with berry compote and the other with bourbon bananas.
